I was shopping around for a new headset and saw that Corsair had a new wireless setup I wanted to check out. I have a set of their first headsets and was very happy with them, but I was tired of constantly tripping and rolling over the cord.
The reviews on the VOID was mixed, lots of people complaining about the mic volume but I figured it was a user issue. After picking them up and getting home, I did notice the outbound volume was a bit soft, and I had to really speak up. I visited the Corsair forums to see if there were others and it looked like there were.
The good news is that it was an easy fix. The mic just needed to be bent a touch and get it closer to the users mouth. After doing this it made a HUGE difference. From test recordings not only was the volume drastically increased, my voice was a lot clearer and sounded better than my other headsets I have had over the years.
I already had a Corsair K70 RGB keyboard, it was wonderful to see the drivers and utilities were already installed with the Corsair CUE software. It instantly picked up the new headset and I was up and running in a matter of minutes. Lots of bells and whistles to play with the lighting as well, took some time to get it to match my keyboard but well worth it.
I’ve had the headset for about 5 days now and have been running them for a lengthy bit of time to get the drivers broke in. They have been sounding better and better over the past few days, typical of a headset and just need to loosen up the drivers. Most of the time I have found that wireless headphones are lacking in sound quality, not these. I have a expensive set of headphones with a separate amp that I use daily. These are not as good as them, but I would honestly say they are about 85% of the quality for a LOT less then what I paid for the other setup. I have been using them over the past few days to listen to music, one to break them in fully but also as I love the sound quality and not tripping over the cord on my other headphones.
Battery life is amazing. I had another set of headphones from a different company that I use for work. Its Bluetooth and mainly used for phone calls. I can barely get 2-3 hours out of those on a good day. These headphones boast a 16 hour battery life and what I have seen so far, its pretty darn good. I will play games for 4-5 hours a night and the battery level has not dipped below 80%. This is used for game sound as well as communication with others in the game. The people I play with DO NOT SHUT UP… EVER.. so they are constantly getting used and the battery is barely phased after a full night of gaming.
The range is not bad, but I have seen other headsets with better. Being around the computer for usage has no problems, but if I need to wander into the kitchen for a drink I need to make sure I am in line of sight of the adapter or else I will start getting warning sounds from the headset.
If you are looking in this price range for a GREAT pair of headphones, check these out as I do not think you will be disappointed!

Cons:
-Mic volume out of the box needs some help, but after positioning the mic properly everything was perfect
- My kids keep running off with the headset as they love to wear them.
