Do not purchase without first reading

Issues present:
1) Android 6 upgrade is available and utilized. But major features, such as adoptable SD storage, are completely disabled in the GUI.
2) The operating system and bloat apps take nearly 7-8GB of the 16GB onboard. This leaves just shy of 5.5 free for yourself.
3) The above two do not go together well. Without knowing command line to force android (even unrooted) to use adoptable storage you will run out of room extremely quickly. Especially if installing games.
4) No gyro. Google cardboard will not work, nor any apps for it.
5) There is next to no information on rooting and/or working with this phone due to it's locked down nature. No you cannot put cyanogen mod on it. And you need the android SDK itself to even unlock the bootloader the "official" way.
All that said there are positives.
1) Amazing battery life. Nearly 7 hours of on-screen.
2) Music quality is good.
3) Xperia music and video player are top notch and support all natively supported formats except opus, and have chromecast support.
4) The music enhancement engine and video enhancement engine are quite nice. However the video one is disabled should the bootloader be unlocked.
Flat out, this is a good phone...if you want it to last long and won't be using it for any sort of gaming that isn't items like GB, GBC, etc.
If you're a power user or heavy mobile gamer do NOT be fooled by the specs. You literally will not be able to do anything with them outside of what Sony alots you to do.

Good VR Headset, one issue

Lenses are really good quality.
Phone holder is nice.
Button is...unique, but functional. It uses a small nub to poke the screen rather than a magnetic button. Functional.
Major downfall is that magnets hold the drawer closed, and the hinge is at the bottom. If your phone is heavy it WILL swing open when you look around too hard, or down. (Moto X Pure, for example). Easy to fix with a little velcro, and worth it as the lenses are top notch compared to the others I've tried (3 in total).

Bluetooth Lag
By Jennifer
These headphones are very comfortable and the sound quality is great. I would recommend them EXCEPT the bluetooth audio lag is terrible on both my PC and my smartphone. If you're just listening to music, it's not a big deal, but it's awful for watching video. The time between seeing people's mouths move to when I hear the dialogue drives me crazy. The lag is eliminated when you plug the headphones in and they do come with a 3.5 mm cable, but it's really too short in my opinion to do me much good. I'll probably buy a longer one at some point, but for the price of these headphones, I feel like such a major flaw is inexcusable.

There's an update
November 9, 2016
There's an update for them that fixes this. The issue is they're shipping them with a non standard 4.1 bluetooth stack. The update fixes them, but it can be a bit hard to find. Check their website and their support sites.
That said I fully agree with the fact the oversight is horrendous considering this issue has existed since they came out and they're STILL shipping them with the bad bluetooth stack.

Will this be available in store?

At least around the North Carolina area the standard XA model is available in-store. If not in the mobile centers, the full sized store is where I got mine.

How well does this phone work with T-Mobile? With AT&T?

It works fine with AT&T. Though I am using Cricket which merely uses the AT&T towers. No different than the Idol 3 or Moto X reception-wise.
