The best 13" laptop

This is a great laptop. I had and older Macbook Pro so it is an upgrade for me. I have been using laptops for more than 17 years and Mac for 4.
The display is gorgeous, very crisp, natural colors, great for reading, browsing, watching movies, work. The speakers are amazing; the best I have ever heard on a laptop, impressive. The keyboard is very nice, a little punchier than 2011 (or 2012) version MPB I had. It is backlit which is handy sometimes. The trackpad is improved, being one of the main new features in this generation. You can click anywhere and it feels the same. The force touch thing is cool though I am still learning how to use it efficiently and pretty much all Apple's application support it in a way or another. Of course the gestures are great and makes the whole experience of using MBP a pleasure. The battery life is outstanding, I use it the whole day without having to worry about it being plugged. The wireless network is super fast now that it is ac. Note that there is no DVD drive, no Ethernet port; but you can get external ones if needed. Because it is has an SSD drive it boots in a few seconds and everything is really fast. I use VMWare Fusion to run Linux and Windows virtual machines.
The build quality is amazing, think, solid, and at the same time light.
Mac OS is an excellent operating system.

Very nice with some quirks

This is a very nice laptop; however, I had to return it because of the issues I found over the two weeks I had it for. Well, it is a first generation product and usually they get it right later so I will probably consider it when the second or third version is out.
The Good
It is a beautiful computer and it is pleasure to use. It has a very crisp, high resolution display; nice sound but can be better. The touch screen is very responsive. The pen is alright but I haven't played with it that much. The keyboard is good but requires a little more force than I would like. The trackpad is nice but still lags behind Macbook Pro's so it is more like the previous generation of MBP. The combined battery life is good--there are two batteries one in the base and one in the tablet.
Windows 10 is a awesome, very beautiful, easy to use, compatible with common old style applications if needed. If you use Cortana make sure you understand the privacy terms and what Microsoft collects about you and how they use your data.
What can be improved
Fix the issues, see below for details; make the speakers louder, perhaps add speakers to the base in addition to the tablet's. Improve the tablet battery life.
The Issues
I updated Windows and the drivers; still I had issues. Often, while using Edge which is actually a nice browser, it becomes not responsive and then I got an error message about the video driver. One time the mouse wasn't responsive at all, dead, so I restarted and it worked again. What did it for me is that one time while listening to iTunes music, I got the blue screen of death, the new style of which.

Type easier and more accurately with the height-adjustable HP Elite V2 wireless keyboard. It's compatible with many computers and tablets, and the 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity works from as far away as 30 feet. The keys of the HP Elite V2 wireless keyboard operate quietly, and prevent dust and dirt accumulation.

An Excellent Keyboard

This is a very nice keyboard. It is like typing on a laptop keyboard, only bigger and even softer. It is very soft and quiet. It also has a thin design. The keys spacing is like a standard keyboard which is better than many of the new generations where the keys are too close, and for touch typist the too close keys don't help (the whole hand is supposed to be moved not just the fingers). It also has a nano receiver which can be used to up to five devices, well, if you stick to HP products.
I cannot speak of durability as I just bought it a couple of days ago. But, I expect no issues as it is an HP product.
What's great about it: Very soft to type on. Thin design. Key spacing.
