This release features the complete second season of the Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated HBO comedy series Silicon Valley, following six young entrepreneurs working together to navigate the cutthroat world of tech start-up companies. The series stars Thomas Middleditch, T. J. Miller, Josh Brener, Kumail Nanjiani, and Martin Starr, and was created by Mike Judge (Office Space).
I've never really been a fan of Mike Judge, but this show takes workplace satire to a brand new level, and setting it in the tech sector really gives it that "insider baseball" feel that makes this show really unique. It's definitely not laugh out loud comedy, at least not regularly, but the humor is almost always sharp, and most of the characters are endearing despite being total jerks to each other. It's good value for a great season, and a plus for this set is that you also get Digital HD copies (forward thinking and appropriate for a show like this!), so I've truly never really played the Blu-ray discs but I've had a great time watching it on my Apple TV.

My girlfriend heckled me endlessly when I first bought this for myself because she thought it was just another tool for geeks. Now that she has one she can't stop wearing it. It's too helpful in terms of keeping on task with multiple follow-up appointments and reminders on a daily basis, and it tracks her fitness about as well as she could ask for. Not to mention that she really enjoys the GPS logging as a moderate-to-serious runner whose budget Garmin watch just broke. Bottom line is the Apple Watch is for just about everyone - they just don't know it yet!
Free up space on your computer with this Western Digital My Passport portable hard drive. This 4TB drive can handle full system backups, or you can use it to transfer a few select files between computers. The slim design of this Western Digital My Passport portable hard drive makes it easy to carry in a backpack, briefcase or purse.
I purchased this hard drive because I had heard so many good things about it - it apparently performs well in terms of reliability, longevity and price. This may all be true and I might update my review in the future, but out of the box I had significant issues trying to get it to work with my computer. For reference I'm running a MacBook Air on macOS Sierra. On plugging it in, the drive was immediately recognized but needed to be reformatted for use, which was fine by me. However, I have both Mac and Windows computers, so I wanted to format it to a FAT32 system to be used by both. Immediately after doing this, the drive became (1) impossible to normally dismount from my computer without Force Ejecting, (2) eventually could not be written to, and (3) stopped being recognized by Disk Utility. This was within 2 weeks of purchase! After a few hard resets and an unplug-replug, I was able to recognize it with Disk Utility and reformat it into MacOS-Journaled, but of course this comes at the expense of loss of compatibility with Windows computers. It has since worked fairly well and I have no issues with it, but I need to mention the significant growing pains involved, not to mention the sheer panic I felt when it was suddenly...unrecognizable...by my computer. I'll keep using it but I have significant concern about suddenly (and permanently) losing access to all my important files. This is definitely not the Western Digital I'm used to.
