I couldn't find a power on docking station. This is passive, so it won't power your laptop. That makes it a bit of pain with all the cords. It does get the job done.

The power on\off is a little hinky. I'd rather have a button you can feel is being activated. I can push on the power button, hold it, and sometimes it goes off and sometimes it doesn't. The picture is great. I didn't like the fact they left my purchases sitting on my doorstep in the manufacturers packaging. Advertise to the world take my monitor. They should have wrapped it in brown paper.

Is this an anti-glare or matt-finish monitor?
No it's not. It wasn't an issue for me with how my desk is positioned in relation to the monitors.

can this be connected to laptop?
I can use the HD cord to connect directly to my laptop, but I also have two of these monitors that I have plugged into a passive docking station.

Can this monitor be rotated (on its built-in stand) to portrait format, with the long dimension vertical?
No. I do wish it had a little more flexibility. Basically up and down.
