Epson - Fastfoto Ff-640 High-speed Photo Scanning

This is a review for the Epson FastFoto that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.

I found it so easy to set up the Epson FastFoto. I took it out of the box and started scanning over 1000 photos. The FastFoto scanner was so quick, the only thing that slowed me down was taking all of my old photos out of those photo albums.

Seventeen years ago, my home was flooded by Hurricane Floyd. One of the many precious items I wanted to take out of the home were my wedding album and photos of my daughter.

Needless to say, in my rushing to save what little I could, the photo albums were left behind. After the 6 foot of water subsided, I was saddened to find that the photo albums were left on the floor of my living room and the photos were ruined (or so I thought). After drying out the photos, we were able to salvage them but the quality wasn’t what I had hoped for.

When I had the opportunity to test the Epson FastFoto, I used the Fast Foto Fix restoration setting and to my amazement, those photos that were ruined 17 years ago are almost as good as new.

I would highly recommend the Epson FastFoto not only for the restoration feature but also for the speed and quality of the scanned photos. Because the FastFoto also scans the backs of the pictures I also have the names and dates of the photos to easily share them with family and friends.

I also love that you can scan papers and receipts so easily. I have used my printer to scan receipts and it takes forever. With the Epson FastFoto it is done in seconds.

I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent Wi-Fi

I received this product for free as part of Belkin's Friends + Family Program.

Our home is approximately 2,500 square feet and we have been using an Apple Airport Extreme for several years. The router is kept in our family room on the first floor and the signal for the Airport Extreme does not extend throughout the house.

In order for my daughter to get Wi-Fi in her room she has to connect to the Wi-Fi on the first floor and hope that by the time she enters her room she is still connected.

Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Smart Wi-Fi Router was so very easy to hook up. I took it right out of the box, assembled the antennas connected it to the router, registered an online account and in about 20 minutes we were all set.

Pros:

5GHz runs more than ten different devices in our home.

Easy set up.
Cons:
2.4GHz seemed to run slower than it should.
Storage feature does not support Time Machine backup.
I would definitely recommend the Linksys EA8500 Max-Stream AC2600 MU-MIMO Smart Wi-Fi Router. I am very happy with how easy it was to set up and have had no issues and my daughter is able to connect her wireless devices with no issues in her room.

I would recommend this to a friend!
