Gas dryer has no heat, takes 5+ hours to dry!

Purchased Whirlpool TL gas dryer, #WGD4815EW.....it has yet to work correctly. What a pain! Tried for 10 days, I read the manual, I did everything it recommended. Called Geek Squad on 2/29/16....transferred twice, hung up on once. Then called store, took 20 minutes to arrange for new item.....everyone learning on this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
