Good phone, but beware of "HTC Advantage"

Upgraded to this phone just over a month ago from a local phone store. The phone has been great and love the fact that not only does it have 32GB of internal storage, but that you can also use an external micro-SD card. One pitfall, though, is that they took a "feature" from Apple in that you can not replace the battery. So, hopefully the battery can last at least two years before my next upgrade eligibility from Sprint.
Now for the reason of only 3 starts. HTC has an extended warranty for these phones under their "HTC Advantage" program that states they will do a one time free replacement of a "cracked, scratched, or broken screen" in the first six months of ownership. Well, unfortunately, something happened with the screen not from a drop, which is actually covered, or from other than normal use. I really wish I knew what happened. I contacted HTC and sent it in for evaluation only to be told that it was not covered and would cost $200 to repair. I've requested HTC to contact me to discuss, as per their repair website, but they seem to have no interest in doing so. As far as I'm concerned, this should be covered, but since it is up to them to determine, the only thing I can do is pay to have it repaired. I've owned a HTC Evo 4G for 4 years with no issues. Is there a company around anymore that has the integrity to actually honor their warranties?

Poor quality assurance from Samsung

Purchased this stove back in February. The first stove had a dent in the right rear corner that was not caused by Best Buy as I watched the delivery men unload from the truck and they even called me out to the truck when they removed the box to check it out. The box had no damage. I went ahead and accepted it, big mistake, as it would be hidden by the counter. Best Buy even refunded $50 for the dent. However, after the first use, which was a couple of days after performing the burn-in, the glass in the oven door shattered. Since this was within a week of delivery, Best Buy replaced the unit with no issues.
Now, just be sure to check that everything on the stove works within the first few days so that you can avoid the experience that I just went through with Samsung Support. The wife tried using the right rear burner on the second stove in October. Just didn't have a need to use it prior. The burner did not work. Contacted Samsung Support and after three service visits over a two period it was fixed. Turns out the coil in the burner had a weak spot and it burned out when it was turned on. However, the Service Tech ordered a replacement on the first visit, but when it arrived two days later, the ceramic ring was broke in several places, so a second replacement had to be ordered. That part also arrived in about two days, but then the earliest a Service Tech was available to install it was another week out.
So two lessons learned:
1. Do not accept a new appliance with any type of damage, even if it seems to just be cosmetic.
2. Test everything just as soon as you possibly can so it can be addressed by the store that the item was purchased from.

Great at first, but wait a few months

Purchased in February and it was great. However, in July something broke and it will no longer switch between crushed and cubed ice. Since this was not a big deal I procrastinated and didn't contact Samsung support. That has now become a three week nightmare. Still have not had a service person scheduled to even come out and determine what is wrong. Samsung customer support is probably the worst support I have ever dealt with. They originally assigned the ticket to one local company that I was never able to get in contact with. Then a week ago Samsung called me, I explained the situation and was told they would assign to another company. Called Samsung yesterday as I still have not heard from anyone and the ticket was never transferred. The person with "Executive Customer Relations" told she transferred the ticket, called the Authorized Service Center herself, and that I would be contacted within 24 hours to schedule the service call. Plus she would call me back to follow-up. Well, here it is almost 36 hours later and zero calls.
I just want people to be aware of what they may be getting into.
I would not recommend Samsung products to a friend, unless I no longer wanted that person as a friend.

Great at first, but wait a few months

Follow-up: Well, after all the issues getting someone to look at the refrigerator, I finally had a service technician out to look at it on Nov 26th. Turns out that the "ice box" which houses the motor for the auger and the mechanism that opens the door for cubed ice had ice built up inside of it. No indication of this on the outside of the assembly. The ice build up was preventing the solenoid from being able to work correctly to open the door, and caused the solenoid to burn out. The technician at first thought that the heater inside the assembly that is to prevent the ice build up was not working. After testing he determined that the electrical connection was probably not properly connected at the factory which prevented the heater from working. He ordered a new assembly unit and on Dec 4th it was installed. Ice maker has been working properly since. Of course I have no way of verifying if the heater is working or not, just hoping that it is.
And, although Samsung told me they would follow-up, I have heard nothing from them since the repair. Just another example of poor customer service from them and the lack of quality control at their factories.
