Great Monitor. Works with 2010 Mac Mini

I'm using this monitor with a mid 2010 Mac mini (for those Mac users) and it works perfect right out of the box. The monitor comes with a standard display port cable and a VGA cable. (It did not come with a DVI nor a HDMI cable). Check for which cable you may need for your setup. For the Mac mini to display it's full resolution of 2560 x 1440, you'll need a mini display port to standard display port (not included). Macs don't use a standard display port but a mini display port. For later model macs that became known as Thunderbolt, which is the same size port/plug.
The monitor also has a port for audio. At first I thought it had speakers, but it does not. I think it's there for a different or higher model? Or it may serve as a pass through for audio? The instructions point it out but do not mention why or how to turn it on. On close inspection I could not find any speakers built in either. (I previously owned the smaller 24 inch AOC with speakers, so I know what it looks like and where it was mounted.)
Despite not having speakers, I still think it is a good value and quality monitor. I can say that pictures and movies are clear. I use this monitor as a home office monitor as well, and the text and size are amazing.
Comparing with other similar models, this AOC 2560 x 1440 is the best quality and value out there.
I highly recommend the AOC monitor. It had no problems with a Mac either.
