Horrible product & worse service

Received this item for Christmas and by Spring (approx 15 uses later) it had volume so low I couldn't even hear it power up. I was okay with the issue, because hey, things happen and it's still under warranty. Inside the box is a warranty card stating that as long as the item "has a manufacture code of less than 15months," then a receipt is not necessary--which is good because I don't have a receipt (it was a gift). I called the warranty number on the card and was told by the representative and then the supervisor that I have to have a receipt--then the supervisor (named Joy) hung up on me. Very classy, LG. Very classy.
Last item I'll every purchase from LG.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
