Noisy ice maker fan

This refrigerator works well. Good temperature control and convenient design. The compressor is very quiet; however, the quiet compressor is made pointless by the ice maker fan which drones on constantly. If you've heard of tinnitus and don't want it, then don't get this refrigerator. I hear it all the way upstairs in my 3200 sq ft house.
To be fair, this sound doesn't bother my spouse; however, she isn't too happy that I've now turned the upper door ice maker off because of the noise. Fortunately, this unit has dual ice makers so we still have ice in the freezer. But it is less convenient.
