Great receiver, one small issue

Great, basic receiver for those who want or need only 5.1. Has Airplay for those with iTunes and it works great. The iOS remote app is well thought out and works great. I've been buying Yamaha receivers for over 20 years. Build and quality have been consistent and still up to par.

The only problem with this receiver is that the volume and program are overlaid onto the tv/monitor when they are changed, which is a huge distraction for me. I don't want to see the volume setting appear on the tv when I'm watching a movie and, unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to turn that setting off as you can with other receivers. I can't convey just how much I hate that, but I suppose I'll get used to it and try to ignore it.

I would recommend this to a friend!
