I'm warning you that if you want a Sony and to spend 8k on a TV that may be great but the second you have a problem, you wasted 8k.
So, if you want a TV look to Samsung especially if you have any problems with a Sony. I purchased a Sony XBR 55 and a Sony 65 930d recently. The XBR last 20 hours and then no picture. I called Sony on July 1st and posted several reviews on this site, which were followed by " Sony Listens" responses and to email them. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...THEY READ AND NEVER DO A THING. I've been trying to get this fixed or replaced since July 1st. After many calls and more hours wasted than the TV lasted, they agreed to replace the brand new TV w a certified used TV. Great! Finally last week they called to schedule a delivery for July 27th and gave me a window between 8am and 8pm with a call an hour before delivery. I called Sony 877-591-7669 at 6pm last night and spoke with Micky the supervisor and he assured me that the TV would show up. I told him I'd call tomorrow at 9am if it didn't. I just called him and he I could only leave him a message. Still waiting for the call from Micky.... Btw, Sony, whatever ever you do, don't posted a "Sony Listens" comment after this. It just makes me want to write more negative reviews about your lousy support and products.

I posted a review recently about how dissatisfied I'm am with my Sony XBR 55 inch TV. I saw that a Sony rep responded with an email to contact them a few days later. I sent an email with my issues and a picture of the TV, which looks exactly the same when I turn it off as it does when it's on...NOTHING! To anyone who gets an email address to contact Sony, don't waste your time writing back. I think they respond on these sites to make it look like the will do something. But just like my picture on my Sony, you get NOTHING!
Luckily I was able to return a perfectly good 65 Sony 930D TV to get a Samsung but unfortunately I will be stuck with a usee Sony replacement, which I still haven't received.
We purchased a Sony XBR 55 900C in March of 2016. The picture was great for the 20 hours of use. Unfortunately, w purchased the Sony 65 inch last month before we used the 55 inch again. We turned on the TV July 1st and nothing. Call Sony and they said that a rep would call in 3-5 business days. No one called for 7 days. When they called, they said they didn't have the part. What? No one ever looked at the TV. A week later Sony called and would replaced the TV, after I sent a copy of the receipt and a couple of pictures of the TV. Great! I will get a new tv to replace my new tv. The problem is that since it was over 90 days of purchase, I would get a certified TV. That means I will get someone else's TV who probably had the same problem and now I have his headache. I told the rep I didn't want a used TV to replace my 20 hour of use TV. Too bad! I'm stuck with a whatever TV. I will called Best Buys today to see if I'm within the time period to return the 65 inch TV. This is the first time I purchased Sony TV's in years. The tech who installed the TV's recommended a Samsung because if I had issues at all, I would get a new TV to replace. Big mistake by going with a Sony! Now I hope I can return the 65 inch and I know for sure Sony won't be any other room in our house.

Great picture that will last through tech advances

After 1 month of shopping I settled on this television due to the sheer awesomeness of its picture compared to other brands and sizes in its price range. I also own several Sony products that sync up flawlessly with this TV and also offer different A/V auto settings. If you want a picture that will last through the ever-changing world of TVs, get this one. Samsung and Visio will not match this performance.
