Samsung 4.0 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle Top-Loading Washer: Safely wash a wide variety of fabrics with 8 cycles and 4 temperature settings to choose from. The soft-close lid allows you to easily open and close the lid without making noise. This washing machine is not affected by the published safety recall.

I bought Samsung based on previously dealing and being please with their customer support, which was, and still is top notch. More on that in a minute. First off..... I ran a whole 10 loads through this washing machine before it quit cycling properly. It would rinse, but then not spin. Turned it off, unplugged it for 1 hour, reset it, could not get it to go past rinsing. During the first 10 loads that it actually worked it shook like a fat kid falling down stairs. Come to find out it is part of the "exploding issue" that Samsung has yet to do anything about. Anyhow back to the failed cycles. Called Samsung, they gave me a little grief trying to tell me it wasn't balanced right, until I told them I personally put a carpenter's level on it to assure I had balanced it correctly, the tub was also lined up per the manual. They then told me to call a local tech and they would cover all costs. That is the ONLY reason this got 2 stars and not one, Samsung came through again and paid for all costs associated with failure of their product. This should be a no brainer for a company, but today there are many that do not. Come to find out the computer board was malfunctioning, and they had to send a new computer board to the repair tech and have it replaced. This took about 1 week. Tech came back today, replaced the CPU board, and so far so good. Interestingly enough, replacing the CPU board has also fixed the shaking issue, and it now runs smooth as butter. Wish I would have gotten a good product to begin with.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am the OP of this review. Since my washing machine being "fixed" it again broke after 2 loads of laundry. Same issue, will not go into spin cycle. Samsung apparently is not the same company I remember. It has taken them a month (Still waiting, the 29th of November is my appointment, from the 7th of November when it again broke.) And even then they are just coming out to fix the recall issue so the thing doesn't spin itself through my wall. They will not respond to fixing my issue for the 2nd time about my spin cycle not working. This machine is hot garbage. I wouldn't trade a sack full of white cat **** for it. Do not buy. Never will I buy another Samsung product in my life.
