Stay away from Samsung dishwashers

Bought a Samsung dishwasher from Best Buy three years ago for a cabin in north Georgia used only in the summer. It stopped working in May. Six repair companies refused to come look at it. Then, an authorized Samsung technician failed to show up a month ago. A second company -- also authorized -- was scheduled and then called to say they were no longer working with Samsung. The repair folks said the dishwashers were terrible, the company was not great on technical support and parts were hard to get and pricey. I escalated the issue to a Samsung customer service supervisor and he ultimately sent me to Sears Repair Service as he couldn't get anybody else. The guy just left -- he said the main control board and the pump were bad and it would $780 in parts. He noted the dishwasher looked brand new -- probably used 50 times. Tomorrow, it goes in the trash and I buy a reliable Whirlpool. The general view of the repair folks was Samsung has not mastered dishwashers. My experience bears that out. While it worked, it was fine and quiet. This one probably came with bad parts but the warranty expired after 2 years and it stopped worked in 2.5 years. So again, stay away. When so many repair companies flat out tell you, "We don't work on Samsung dishwashers," you know there is a problem.
