The display; the lack of bezels and edge to edge screen is what astounds you from the beginning, futuristic and gorgeous. The phone in your hand feels better on the edges, seamless almost, compared to last year's S7 Edge that felt a little sharp. The screen is larger so they did get rid of the capacitive home button; added software buttons. The home button now gives taptic feedback when you press on it, somewhat like the IPhone 7/7+. With that, the fingerprint reader is on the back, next to the camera, you'll have to get used to that unless you use another security unlock. If you want specs, go back above. Compared to last year, almost everything hardware wise is the same except for the new rear camera sensor and USB-C functionality and besides, the specs are amazing anyways. My only 2 questions are battery and the new personal assistant Bixby. The battery on the S8/S8+ is 3000/3500mAh, the S7/7Edge were 3100/3600mAh. With larger displays than last year, we'll have to see how well the battery fares, despite the new Snapdragon 835 processor because display drains battery on every phone. Bixby...is just weird. It's almost the same as the Google Assistant (which is also on your phone, per Android) so they coexist. There's only few differences between the two and I'm not sure how well it will take off but we'll have to see. Besides that, this is a very solid and good looking phone. If you preordered, you won't be disappointed at all. (P.S. It's made of metal, not cheap plastic, remove that comment from the previous review)
