Don't believe the battery hype

It was between this and the Spectre 360 i7 8GB for me. I also considered a MacBook Pro for one hot minute (price is 3x the cost of this for similar computing power). After 3 days, here are my observations.
1. Keyboard - If you learned to type circa 1995 on a keyboard as hard as a rock like I did, you are likely also a violent typist. I need a recessed keyboard for wrist comfort, a lot of key resistance, and as much key travel as possible (Spin 7 is 1.35mm; Spectre is 1.3mm; MacBook Pro is 0.5mm). If you tend to fat finger keys, there is enough space between these that error rate is low. A lot of people prefer the Spectre's more sensitive and quieter keyboard, but that's not for me.
2. Battery - Gracious, I've never heard so many people complain about a battery before! All of the settings that suck the battery juice are maxed out when you receive this computer to show off its performance. If you fiddle with the Intel Graphics Settings, perform basic Windows 10 alterations for power (ex: turn off background refresh and auto-update for apps), and keep the keyboard backlight off when you don't need it, you jump from a puny 3 hour battery life to 7.5 hours (without the battery saver on). Spectre is widely reported at 9 hours; MacBook at 10 hours. A little longer would be convenient, but it's still acceptable.
3. Processor/RAM - Unless you're a gamer worried about framerates or doing some hardcore video editing, an i7 is a waste of money. i5 processors are only a couple of seconds behind i7s for normal, everyday function--sometimes, they're equal. The 12GB RAM is even a little much unless you like to have 10 programs open at once. Anyway, I ran dxdiag on this laptop and clocked a 2.7 GHz processor speed. (I'm not sure if this is actually means anything, but it looks important.)
4. Durability - This is not an aluminum skin, it's plastic. For people that like to drop their computers off buildings like me, this is risky. However, I heard a dirty rumor that Spectre screens break easily. I have frequently tossed my MacBook across a room--not in anger or anything, I just don't even think twice about heaving it at the laundry basket when I'm done with it and if I miss ... oh well! I have even dropped it onto a tile floor in the kitchen, knocked it down a flight of stairs, and once my dog surfed across the hardwood floors on it. That sucker is hardly even scratched on the corners--no dents! I feel like I could accidentally run over it with a car and it would just pop my tire. Anyway, I don't get that impression from the Spin 7. It's solid and doesn't make any annoying plastic rattles when I shake it or bang on it--yes, I just did--but it's like driving a car made out of metal vs. plastic. You can just *feel* the difference.
5. Misc -
*Yes, the power button sticks out on the side a half millimeter or something, but after smacking it twice the average human brain begins to auto-avoid.
*The speakers are on the bottom and only work well on hard surfaces--no soft carpets or beds or anything.
*There's are (2) USB 2.0, (1) USB 3.0, (1) USBC, (1) full-sized HDMI, and (1) micro-SD slots.
*Comes pre-loaded with a couple game apps, including the Minecraft app.
*The charge cable is like 8 ft. long. The charger itself is Longwell LS-18 125V (turbo charger?)
