Phenominal value at Amazing Price

In 2005, I took a teaching job with a school that gave all teachers IBM Thinkpads. What a machine. I used it for 5 years before they gave everyone MacBooks. I missed the solid feel of the Thinkpad and the responsiveness of the keys. The only feature of the Mac that outperformed the Thinkpad was it's trackpad.
I've since left that job and bought my own MacBook, which started to show its age after 5 years. I hate the new MacBooks, so I asked the IT guys at the university where I teach what they would recommend. They warned me not to spend more than $500 because technology changes so frequently I would probably want to upgrade every year or so. Among their recommendations was Lenovo, and I was surprised to see they had taken over the Thinkpad model in 2005 and now produced something called the Ideapad.
Looking around Best Buy online I saw my old friend, the Thinkpad. Refurbished with an 18 month parts and labor warranty for under $250. I couldn't pass this up! The IT guys said it was a great value, so I snatched one. I couldn't be happier. If you can live with 2-hour battery life and don't mind looking retro, then this is your baby.
I've used my T410 for a few weeks now without a hitch. The keys feel fantastic and it is faster than my MacBook. I will never go back. I was also lucky that my university provides free virus protection and free Microrsoft Office!
I don't think you will regret your purchase. These are very durable machines that are made to take the rough and tumble world of business use. I give this machine my highest recommendation.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is the warranty? Any extended warranty available?

18 month parts and labor. It's an amazing warranty. These machines are so durable, you will probably never need to use the warranty.
