sweet and clear sound for a bluetooth speaker

I have been looking for a portable wireless speaker for picnic, short hike or outdoor functions and got an opportunity to try it the SoundLInk Color II before buying it. At first sight, it’s cheap looking with the black rubber skin, but do not let looks fool you. I am surprise that Bose did not include a power adapter for it and I had to look for a spare one to plug the included USB cable. The first charge took about 2-3 hours for it to be fully charged. I did not even bother reading the pairing instruction since it’s literally one button to pair with my Galaxy S7. I played some Ed Sheeran songs to test it out and wow the quality is MUCH better than I anticipated. The guitar is focused, the vocal is clear and sharp while the bass is well balanced. I noticed if you put it against the wall, you get more bass out of it because the bass is in the back. I maxed out the volume listening to Hello by Above & Beyond and not once did I hear any popping/crackle coming from the speaker.
True to its statement that the speaker is splash proof, I had it next to my sink and “accidentally” sprayed some water on it, but the speaker is still functioning just fine. I have read that a lot of people complain about the battery life, but it’s a wireless speaker so just prepare to charge it when you are planning to take it on a long trip. I had it out literally the whole day at a picnic and got lot of compliments from my friends. Would I buy this for $130? Why not, I have spent more than that on a headset and this bluetooth speaker with quality sound would be a great addition.
I would recommend this to a friend!
