Before reviewing this product, I did tons of research on youtube, and talked to friends about the fitbit alta, and the hr. I was originally thinking of buying the fitbit alta because of the cheaper price. On, the fitbit alta hr it has a heart rate monitor which is not on the original alta. That is 20 dollars more. At, first I thought it was pretty useless, but the salesman at the store was very helpful. In, my opinion, the fitbit alta hr is the way to go.

Features: steps, heart rate, miles traveled, calories burned and sleep.
Set up: Very easy on my computer
Clip charger: I was going on vacation and felt that putting the charge into my laptop was really inconvenient. So, I took my apple usb charger and put the fitbit alta hr usb charger end into there. Then, plugged it in. The results were impressive.
Battery life/ charging: Battery lasts 4-5 days. Charge 3,4,5 hours.
(*I highly recommend going to the store. At best buy, the customer service was helpful. )

Finally, you may ask, why get this if the fitbit alta is the same except for the heart rate monitor?

WELL! The fit bit alta has a weird 2 clips band that is not stable. It could end up falling off! The hr has a traditional watch clasp which is way more sucre. Also, knowing your heart beat is pretty darn cool.

WORKOUTS:
For an average workout, I think this was very helpful. It's light and not bulky like the charge 2. It's simple, and not complex. The only down side is this is not waterproof. So, don't take this swimming, or showering!

I hope this review helped you form an opinion, but both the alta and the hr are great devices. Also, If this helpful you, check the box below! Thanks for your time!
