Worth buying.

Like a few of you, I purchased this camera specifically for a vacation. 9 days in the Caribbean, this camera was in the water every day. From mild beach & surf, to boating, paddle boarding, and snorkeling. Max depth was about 20 to 25 ft. It performed beautifully. Easy to use, charges rather quickly, and takes nice pictures. It is obviously not a professional series camera, so don't expect top of the line pics. But I was very satisfied w results. Once my wife saw how clear the underwater shots came out I couldn't get the camera away from her.
*After reading many reviews, I did not wash or rinse this camera every day after salt water use. Only on our final day did I rinse it off.
For the cost alone I can recommend this camera. Compared to others that are cheaper or more expensive, or for waterproof phone cases that are a pain to use, this was an excellent choice.

How good are the quality of the photos underwater and out of the water?
I just reviewed this camera a few minutes ago.
Pictures were very good. Above water were beautiful and typical of most digital cameras. Below water quality depended largely on how bright & sunny it was, but overall the quality was surprisingly good. The water we were in was very clear. I had it down about 25 ft at deepest.
