Major issues
on April 29, 2017
Posted by: RonATL
This phone has major issues. Most importantly, bluetooth will not connect properly. If you stream to your car, it constantly skips. All the time. No amount of troubleshooting fixes and Samsung isn't fixing or even acknowledging. GPS also has issues. I love the phone but unfortunately, I use BT too much and this is not worth any amount of $ if that doesn't work.

Doesn't hold up

I really loved this mouse for quite some time. It goes with my Samsung Ultrabook nicely. But, after just under a year the battery will not hold a charge for more than an hour or so use. Unfortunate but moving on.

Lots of features and looks great

I purchased this 2 months ago when I moved into a new place and wanted a "grown up" TV stand that was a piece of furniture. I read the few reviews about this unit not having center support and drooping in the middle but took a chance anyway. I have a 60" Samsung LCD and it shows no sign of drooping (used a level). The unit is sturdy, has great cable management, the magnetic back panels are awesome but more than anything it looks great.

Great for road warriors

I've had this mouse for about 1.5 years now. I travel weekly so it takes up almost no space in a laptop bag. The buttons did take some getting used to but after a couple of uses it becomes natural. Great conversation piece too when people see it. The down side is my USB dongle receiver stopped working. I'm going to go buy another of these mice though, will just keep one in my bag and one on my desk. Can't beat this for traveling.
What's great about it: Folds flat, battery lasts forever
What's not so great: USB dongle didn't last

Easy setup, horrible range

I use it in...:Apartment
I live in a small loft in the city and wanted to extend my wifi out to the pool (40 feet away). I stream Pandora on my squeezebox connected to my hotspot on my nexus phone and have wanted to connect to my wifi instead. I got this unit today, setup was super easy but one room away inside my loft (reminder: no walls, one big open room), 15' from this and my signal was 45%. Went out to the pool, I could see the zero bar signal but nothing would connect. I'm not telling you to buy it or not buy it, I'm just saying from a technical standpoint, it doesn't repeat anything greater than my existing Cisco router.
What's great about it: nothing
What's not so great: range is useless

Best Android with the best provider
on January 10, 2012

This is my first Verizon phone but my 3rd Samsung Android phone. After about 15 years of being on AT&T/Cingular/AT&T Wireless I reached my boiling point with the terrible voice service. I'm a global traveler so always had to have AT&T for the quad bands, which is the only reason I've stayed with them for so long.
Yesterday I switched to Verizon and the Nexus. I live about 1 mile due east of downtown Atlanta, where you would expect good cell service but for the 6 years I've lived in my loft I have always had 1 bar on AT&T. 8 out of 10 calls go directly to voicemail, the other 2 drop. Data speeds on AT&T 4G at my house were around 500kbps down and 300kbps up - pathetic. My Samsung Infuse (4 months old) was sluggish, constantly powered off without warning and constantly freezing up.
Now on Verizon this phone is a rock solid performer, ice cream sandwich is smooth, fast and slick. I've not had a single performance issue with this phone - my Infuse would have powered off 3 times since yesterday. I'm getting data speeds around 30Mbps down and 20Mbps up! The battery life issue is true but I had the same issue with my other Androids and iPhones - buy extra batteries from amazon. Overall, I'm very happy with this phone and Verizon's service, from a bit of a phone snob and tech geek - I highly recommend this phone and Verizon's service.
What's great about it: No lag, great OS, SUPER fast data
What's not so great: can't think of anything
I would recommend this to a friend!

Garmin let us down on this one
on May 20, 2008

I got this last week. I also have a Nuvi 350 that has been a good GPS. I have to say I'm extremely disappointed in this unit. I can't even hear it with the AC blowing, much less with the radio on. The FM transmitter to play it over the radio doesn't work. This morning the MSN traffic took about 10 minutes to come online even with a full signal through Atlanta. Hopefully Best Buy won't charge me the restocking fee because this is truily a defective GPS. It looks like my Garmin days are over. I won't buy another now.
What's great about it: has some nice extra features
What's not so great: Poor audio. FM transmitter doesn't work.
