As a standalone bluetooth speaker, there is nothing in particular to recommend this product. While it supposedly has an "enhanced bass" setting, I found the quality of its low end sound to be much worse than that of cheaper and smaller speakers. Don't count on this to be the center of your next party. The synchronized light effects are fairly entertaining, but unless you have an android phone, you can't use the app to tailor them. There is an app available for iPhones, but it doesn't work with this speaker, and it has very poor ratings for the speakers it does connect to. On the plus side, I like the railings that stick out in front of the grill. They're convenient to use as a handle, and they somewhat protect the speaker in less forgiving environments. When detached from the power source and running on its internal battery, there is a cover to protect the ports on the backside, so I would feel comfortable using this in dusty or wet environments. For my own personal use, I like this as a speaker to keep on in the background at work.

This is a perfectly serviceable bluray player with the standard streaming functions. Most of the common online services are available but not all. I did have issues with some apps crashing, but that's probably more the fault of the different services and not the player. Like most Samsung devices, the remote integrates with a Samsung TV but not other brands. Good enough, but nothing sets this player particularly apart from the rest.

This is a good-looking laptop in several respects. From the outside, the faux carbon fiber finish and metallic-looking hinge give it a nice presence. The red backlit keyboard is impressive, and it's nice that they managed to fit in a numeric keypad beside the standard keyboard layout. In order to do that, they had to make the number keys a bit more narrow, but not unworkably so. The display is also good for looking *at*. Great resolution and colors, with a very wide viewing angle for when someone wants to watch over your shoulder without having to stand directly over your shoulder. There's also a good, included app for adjusting the graphics performance when you're more worried about battery life. I found it to be very quick and capable, and it juuuust fits inside my laptop bag. Although it's definitely not a light computer, it's not quite as heavy as I expected from looking at it. If you're looking for a way to do some gaming while traveling, this is a solid choice.

Great for people who want an actual stereo rather than a boom box or bluetooth-enabled speaker. Great sound and the ability to position the speakers where you want them. There's plenty of length in the speaker wire that's included, but if you want them even farther apart, any off-the-shelf speaker wire can give you even more range. The main unit is a little deeper than I expected, but it still sits well back on a dresser or desk. You may want to measure your shelf if you want to put it on a bookshelf. Hookup is simple and bluetooth pairing is easy. Definitely not portable, but if you want something that looks and sounds like a real stereo to stream music from your phone (or other interconnected device), this is the way to go. And you can also play that legacy CD collection you can't seem to get rid of.

good but not great

I have tried a lot of true wireless earbuds looking for the best workout pair. This set is better than some but worse than others. The range is decent. The limit that you can be away from the bluetooth transmitter is about five feet, which is adequate for me to use while rowing. The sound was also good. My biggest problem with these is the fit. They come with more than the typical amount of differently sized tips, so you should be able to find a pair that fit well. However, even after several different tries, the best fitting pair still tended to work loose during a workout, and even worse, were very uncomfortable. They were never loose enough to fall out, just loose enough to let in a lot of outside noise. Which brings me to the one real advantage these earbuds have that I haven't seen on any other true wireless buds: you can adjust the volume using buttons on the earbuds. This can be very handy, but it's not really a game changer. Had the fit been better, I would have given them much higher marks, but maybe they'll work better in your ears than mine.

The best true wireless earbuds

I have tried a LOT of true wireless earbuds looking for the right pair, and now I've finally found them. Many suffer from a lack of range or poor connectivity. Some don't fit well or have a tendency to become loose during activity. Sony has managed to avoid all the usual problems while also adding several very good features. Probably the biggest and best feature is active noise cancelling. Earbuds that fit in the ear canal, by their nature, block out noise, but that can be a problem if you're using them outside where you need to hear ambient sounds for safety. By incorporating active noise cancelling, Sony allows you choose between filtering out all noise or selectively letting through the outside sound you want - either optimized for voice or all noises. One minor drawback (and the only one I can come up with for this product) is that wind noise is amplified when you use this feature. The other great feature that sets this set of earbuds apart is the Sony Headphones app that you can use with them. You can select from several different equalizer modes depending on the type of music or program you're listening to. Using the app, I think this is the first set of earbuds I've used that can compete with over-the-ear headphones for bass response. I really couldn't believe that the sound I was hearing was coming out of these tiny earbuds.

A long way from first gen

I was an early adopter of robot vacuums, but I had not upgraded since that original purchase. Boy, has technology progressed in the meantime! Just on the cool-technology aspect, you can watch it generate a map of your floor plan in real time on its first trip around your house. It uses lidar to get a rough estimate of where everything is, then fills in the picture as it moves around. Instead of running full force into your walls and furniture, it slows down as it approaches obstacles. It still can't tell exactly how tall the gaps around your floorboards and cabinets are, but it will try to get in there. It happens to be just the wrong height to get under the front edge of my dishwasher, and it almost gets caught under there but manages to work itself free. The more mundane aspects have been improved as well. The filter/dirt trap is super easy to remove and empty. This model also includes the ability to mop your floor, but I don't find that feature very compelling. It's a pain to fill the water reservoir and attach the mopping surface, which you're then supposed to remove and clean after use. There's also no way to distinguish between mopping and vacuuming in the controls--if there's water in the reservoir, it mops; if there's no water, it doesn't. But back to the good features... Once it's mapped your house, it will automatically recognize rooms, and you can direct it to clean specific ones. It's also compatible with Alexa, so you can just tell it to start vacuuming without pulling out your phone and opening the app. On the downside, you can't tell it to vacuum a specific room, even though you can name them in the app. For that, you still have to use your phone. Maybe that will be a future improvement for Alexa. For now though, it's still very impressive.

Big sound

Even though this is slightly larger than some of the portable speakers in this class, it still has much bigger sound than I expected. This is being presented as something ideal for a party, thanks to the light effects, and the sound is definitely there to fulfill that role. The light effects are also very impressive. The multicolored LEDs around the outside are somewhat timed to coincide with the music, and there are even lights that reflect off the speakers behind the grill. Add in the waterproof casing and easy to clean grill, and it's ideal for a party environment. The only caution is that to run off wall current (or to charge the battery), you need to open up the cover in back, exposing the connections and compromising its water resistance. However, there is plenty of battery capacity to make that optional. There is also an app you can use to customize the light effects to suit your preferences.

extra performance with the app

As over-the-ear, sound-canceling, bluetooth headphones go, these start out near the top of the pack. Good fit, good sound, and good sound canceling along with solid bluetooth pairing, but you expect that from a pair of headphones in this price range. What Sony brings to the table as extras are all the goodies you get with their associated app. You have the option to select from different ambient surround effects, placing you in a concert hall, an outdoor arena, or a club, among others. That, in itself, adds another whole dimension to the experience. But on top of that, you also get an equalizer with multiple presets and the ability to tweak it to your own preferences. When I combined the "club' surround effect with the "excited" equalizer settings and played a song with heavy bass, I could actually feel the headphones vibrating on the side of my head, and that was at a moderate volume. I usually feel most headphones are underpowered on the bass end, but you have the ability to tweak these far beyond what I felt was too much bass. These are great headphones to begin with, but the ability to customize them so much adds an extra dimension that I have yet to see in another product.

great picture, missing features

Good stuff up front: the picture is outstanding. Deep blacks, high contrast, good upscaling, and superb presentation of native 4k content. But you buy a smart TV for more than the picture right? You also expect good apps, and this one supports 4k streaming on VUDU, Netflix, and Amazon, all of which have dedicated keys on the remote. If you're looking for a deeper bench of content however, you're going to come up short in the Sharp app store. There are other services provided, but big names are notably missing. Possibly the biggest deficiency for me though, is the lack of bluetooth. Sure I can output sound to my sound bar via optical cable (although it took me forever to get the sound to match up with the picture--controls on the TV wouldn't do it, I had to program the delay in the sound bar itself.) However, I also like to listen to the TV over headphones while I'm working out, and that is not supported natively. In fact, I'm still trying to find a suitable third-party option to support bluetooth sound. So, it does its primary job great, but it's missing some of the secondary stuff that I would expect to find in a "smart" TV.
