Not a good choice for more advanced users

First the good: As a modem, this is actually a very good unit. After some initial problems due to house cabling that I resolved, it proved to be a very fast modem capable of providing all the speed I was paying for (300Mbps/20Mbps).
Also, as a wireless access point to my network, it was also very good. Despite not having any external antenna it was (at the time) easily the strongest signal in my house with excellent reach despite being in a challenging environment with multiple floors, steel support beams and HVAC ducting in the line-of-sight path to several devices.
Overall, if your needs are simple and you just want one device for modem, router and WiFi, this is a good choice.
HOWEVER, the fact that CableLabs certification limits the router functions that are integrated with the modem functions, and possibly some of Netgear's poor decisions relating to router functionality, make this product entirely unsuitable for those who need detailed control of their network.
One example is that there is nowhere in the router configuration to set the local time and time zone. This leaves you to depend on the NTP time from the ISP to be correct and in many cases ISPs do not correct for Daylight Saving Time. As a result there was no way for me to correct the time being off by one hour, which prevented a number of my cloud-oriented devices from connecting to their cloud services.
Another example is that there is no port-range forwarding to allow forwarding a port to multiple IP addresses, leaving me with no way to forward a single port to multiple IP cameras. And once a port is forwarded to one IP address you can't forward the same port to another address.
If those complaints go over your head, then you probably have a simple network and would be OK using this device. If they make you cringe, you probably have enough network know-how and a complex enough network to steer clear of this product and put your money into more capable and flexible equipment..

Good TV, slightly misleading description

This is, overall, an excellent buy and good TV for the size and money. The overall features are sufficient and the picture, with good input sources, is excellent.
The available picture/color adjustments are not extensive, but sufficient for most users. Even adjusted, voices can be hard to distinguish on some material but overall the audio is still better than I expected for built-in speakers.
There were only two real disappointments for me: the lack of full 1080p support on the PCI input (it only supports 720p), and the description didn't mention this was a Class "B" refurb. The first issue is due to my own lack of research, so no hit - just something to be aware of. The second issue isn't enough to make me return the unit but again, is something to be aware of if you are expecting to get completely new-looking unit for this price.
The only other confusing thing I noticed is that this TV mapped digital channels from my cable provider to different sub-channels than my other TV's and Windows Media Center digital tuner. I can't explain this, but it caused considerable confusion on my part when reprogramming my URC remotes for this TV.
What's great about it: Good overall features for the money, relatively easy setup
What's not so great: Minimal picture/color adjustments, description didn't state Class "B" refurb, no 1080p on PC input
I would recommend this to a friend!
