Bought it for our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, works as described. 30% in 30 minutes, S7 has OtterBox heavy duty case and S7 Edge has the Otter Box Symmetry case. Be aware Fast Charging only works on Edge S6 and up, the S6 will get standard charging.

If you don't mind 3D then this are a must have accessorie to your latest Samsung phone. There's plenty of games but there's a couple which you need a wireless remote to play. Unfortunately the model they advertised in games, the Samsung Gamepad, is only available in UK. Oculus recommends the Steelseries which I find weird recommend one but promote another for games. Also if you have any 3D movie files you can watch them, just make sure there saved on a folder tiled 3D under the movie folder.

Any device that has Qi wireless feature can be charged, but for fast charging is only on Edge S6 and up, S6 is only standard charging.

What games are preinstalled?
There's a bundle that comes free once you install, it comes with 4 games but only two are playable with headset alone, one requires the help of someone else and a computer to help on mission, the last one requires the gamepad that is sold separately. Funny thing with Samsung gamepad it is used on every game but only sold in UK, in USA Oculus recommends Steelseries which is made by Microsoft and is exactly a XBOX controller

Is the Samsung Note Edge compatible with the Gear VR?
Note Edge? Galaxy Edge yes but have not heard of a Note Edge, phones became compatible after Galaxy S6 and up

Can you use the VR with your phone inside of a case?
No, unfortunately the way it's made you have you take case off. Phones plugs into a "usb c" at bottom and there's another hand on top which locks it when you press down. It's a pain if you have a heavy duty Otter Box but games are worth it.
