I recently upgraded my home security setup with the Blink Outdoor 4 Floodlight Camera, and it's been a game-changer, especially given my frequent travels, leaving my wife at home alone. The sense of security this camera brings is invaluable. It also integrated flawlessly with my existing Blink system, which was a big plus.
One of the standout features is the 700 lumens of motion-triggered LED lighting. It illuminates the area you point the LED’s to pretty nicely, enhancing both the visibility and adding to the deterrent factor. The HD live view and real-time alerts keep me informed and in control, no matter where I am. The two-way audio is crisp, allowing clear communication, which is particularly reassuring for my wife when I'm away.
I was initially skeptical about the claimed two-year battery life, especially with such powerful features. However, even a year would be a win, considering the benefits. Time will tell. The wire-free installation was a breeze, and the no-drill option while available isn’t secure enough for my taste so I used screws to mount to the side of my house.
The enhanced motion detection is responsive, sending alerts to my phone quickly. The person detection feature, part of an optional Blink Subscription Plan, adds an extra layer of specificity to the alerts, though it does come at an additional cost.
The ability to save and share clips is convenient. The free 30-day trial of the Blink Subscription Plan is a good way to test the cloud storage option. However, having the Sync Module 2 included in the package allows for local storage with a USB drive (that you need to buy separately) which is a cost-effective alternative.
Integration with Alexa enhances the user experience significantly. Being able to control the camera with voice commands is not just convenient but also feels quite futuristic.

Installing it in my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L was a breeze; utilizing the OBD port made the process straightforward, and I was pleasantly surprised it took a mere 15 minutes. While I plan to hardwire it eventually, the initial setup was straightforward and easy.
"Anticipate. Prevent. Defend." is more than a tagline for the Nextbase 2k iQ; it's a reality. The dash cam's intelligent alert system, Roadwatch AI, and Witness Mode are not just innovative but transformative in providing proactive protection. Being able to anticipate threats with smart alerts elevates the sense of security for both the vehicle and its occupants.
The ability to "See what your car sees" is an invaluable feature. Whether it's monitoring my Jeep from a distance or setting custom alerts, the iQ keeps me informed. Its quick notifications of any unusual activity around my car enable me to intervene promptly, providing peace of mind.
The built-in proximity sensing Spatial Awareness and AI-driven threat detection (coming soon)offer an additional layer of security, making me feel like I have a personal guard for my vehicle. As an early adopter of Ray-Ban's foray into smart glasses with the Ray-Ban Stories, I was cautiously optimistic about their next iteration. But I must say, the Ray-Ban Meta - Headliner Smart Glasses are not just an improvement—they represent a quantum leap forward in the realm of wearable technology.
Starting with the camera, the ultra-wide 12 MP lens is a game changer. The field of view captures more of what I see, and with a five-mic system, the audio is crisp and clear. It's as if my followers are right there with me at car shows and enthusiast events. The ability to livestream directly to Facebook will elevate my social media presence, giving my audience a first-person experience that's both intimate and engaging.
Audio quality, which was decent in the Stories, has seen a significant upgrade in the Headliner. The custom-built speakers deliver an auditory experience that's rich and immersive. I can take calls or listen to music with a newfound clarity, even amidst the roaring engines of cars or the bustle of a busy street. The only caveat being others might be able to hear snippets of your conversations if close enough to you but probably won’t be able to make out every word your caller is saying.
The inclusion of Meta AI is perhaps my favorite upgrade. Being able to control the glasses with voice commands is not just convenient, it feels futuristic. I’m sure "Hey Meta" will become a regular part of my vocabulary, allowing me to capture moments hands-free or get information on the fly.
The controls are intuitive, offering a seamless blend of touch and voice commands. Whether I'm quickly snapping a photo with the touchpad or initiating a livestream with a voice command, the interaction feels natural and effortless.
The charging case is another highlight. Its compact design doesn't compromise on functionality, providing me with a total of 12 hours of battery life. The smart charging feature ensures my glasses are always ready for the day ahead.
The Meta View App enhances the experience further. Being able to manage multiple glasses, delve into features through an interactive tour, and add special effects to my content adds layers of functionality that keep the Headliner feeling fresh.
The image and video acquisition specs are impressive, capturing moments in high resolution. Combined with the high-quality speakers and an advanced mic array, the Headliner Smart Glasses are an all-in-one content creation powerhouse.
Even with all this tech packed in, the Headliner maintains a lightweight frame that's comfortable for extended use. I'm currently using them with contacts but am eagerly awaiting prescription lenses for an even more seamless experience.
In terms of compatibility and connectivity, the Headliner doesn't disappoint. With support for both iOS and Android and incorporating the latest in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, it fits effortlessly into my tech ecosystem.
In conclusion, the Ray-Ban Meta - Headliner Smart Glasses have not just met but exceeded my expectations. They are more than just an accessory; they've become an integral part of my daily life and an indispensable tool for my livestreams and social media interactions. Is there a way to download the software not by CD? My computer is an an ultrabook and doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive.
You can just add the printer in your printer settings via WiFi, I did not have to use the CD to load any drivers.

I want to use HUE lights with this. Can I buy a 2nd Google Home for my 2nd floor so both floors can access Home to turn off/on lights? If my phone (synced to Home) is out of the house, will voice activation still work for the lights?
This will work with Hue, you should be able to have multiple units in your house and they will work without the phone that is linked to them in the house.
