Versatile Quality Desktop Sound

When I first ordered these I didn’t realize how big they would be, they are on the larger size at about 10 inches in height. What also comes with the size is heft, the JBL 104 BT Studio Monitor Speakers feel and look like a quality set of speakers.
In the box you have the speakers (one Master Speaker and one Extension
speaker), a power cord, a length of speaker wire to wire the extension to the master and a 3.5mm to RCA cord for connection to a PC and the master speaker. There are also 1/4 in TRS Inputs on the master speaker for connection of a monitor station etc.

Another feature that adds to the versatility of the JBL 104 BT Studio Monitor Speakers is the fact that they have Bluetooth connectivity.
I plugged the Master in, I ran my PC 3.5mm to RCA to the Master Speaker and wired the extension speaker to the master speaker. I needed to use my own wire as the wire provided was only about 6.5 feet and I needed 8 feet.
The sound produced with the JBL 104 BT Studio Monitor Speakers coaxial drivers using my PC as the source with games, videos and movies was fantastic! Bass was rich (sometimes on the boomy side) and the overall sound was just pleasing to the ears.
I paired the JBL 104 BT Studio Monitor Speakers with my iPhone 13 Pro Max and they played music via bluetooth effortlessly and sounded great.
A cool feature making these some of the most versatile speakers I have seen is the fact that you can have up to 3 hard wired sources and bluetooth so all four sources can be listened to (one at a time) with no switching required.
Versatility, quality, and great sound all in one package, I definitely recommend the JBL 104 BT Studio Monitor Speakers.

Quiet Comfort and they live up to the name.

I have had many Active Noise canceling headphones over the years but never Bose Earbuds.
I thought I had great noise canceling true wireless earbuds before and Bose has the reputation for being excellent at it so I was excited to see how they sounded and performed overall.
Included with the Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 is the charging case (Qi enabled), the earbuds themselves and a mini usb cable as well as different size ear tips and Bose’s “stability bands”.
I charged the Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 overnight when I first got them and was ready to go the next morning.
First thing is to download the Bose Music App from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Once pairing the Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 with your phone as with most things today you may have to do a firmware update in order to get the latest and greatest features. I performed the software update and it finished in about 35 minutes or so.
Once that was done I was ready to go.
First I made sure they fit in my ears right. I used the large ear tips in both of my ears, and as for the unique to Bose “stability bands” I had to use the already installed size 1 in my left ear and the size 2 in my right ear.
Once making those adjustments they fit just right and I used the app to test the fit and the app verified the earbuds fit well.
The Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 can be paired with 2 sources at the same time (multi-point) but you can only listen from one or the other as most multi-point capable headphones work.
I paired immediately with my iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The app is easy to navigate and you can choose pre determined or custom sound profiles using the EQ function in the app.
There are also custom setting available to best tailor the noise cancellation to your liking.
The “Aware” mode allows you to hear noise from your surroundings and the reason for buying the Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 is the World Class Noise Cancellation and I must tell you the Quiet Comfort 2’s live up to the reputation.
The noise canceling feature is the best I’ve ever not heard (pun intended) and there is no sacrificing of sound quality in the process.
Bass is rich and treble is crisp, and the mid range notes are satisfying as well.
The Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 sound fantastic whether at lower volume or higher and with no distortion at the higher volume levels.
Phone calls sound great and the other parties heard me crystal clear.
The Bose Quiet Comfort Earbuds 2 will be my go to earbuds for everyday carry as I travel a lot and need great noise canceling earbuds for my trips.

The Nixplay Frame is easy to set up. Just plug in. Choose the orientation of the frame you prefer either portrait or landscape and connect to your Wi-Fi. Once connected my Nixplay Frame did a couple of updates and the frame was ready to go.
Next download the app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play and create an account.
You can choose to either allow the Nixplay Frame acces to all of your photos or a select few and then download them to the account / frame.
The Nixplay Frame has various settings to help you customize your experience.
The Nixplay Frame automatically wakes when it senses you entering the room it is in and will automatically sleep after your preset timeout preference.

You can also set the time you wish the Nixplay Frame to fully sleep and wake so as to not disturb you during the night.
My Nixplay Frame is in our family room so it’s not necessarily a bother as we don’t sleep there but it’s a nice option to have in the event you locate your Nixplay Frame in the bedroom.
The display is nice and bright and I like the way my photos look on the screen.
If you want an easy to use electronic frame that looks great, don’t hesitate to get the Nixplay Frame.

First thing I noticed about the JVC HA-A30T was how small the charging case is and how small each ear bud is which is great for portability.
I removed the charging contact covers that were on for shipping and then charged the ear buds and case with the included USB C cable.
After about 2.5 hours the case and earphones were fully charged.
Pairing the JVC HA-A30T was as simple as taking them out of the charging case which on first use puts them in pairing mode.
The JVC HA-A30T comes with the usual S/M/L ear pieces and the Med fit my ears just perfectly.
The JVC HA-A30T have active noise canceling, low latency for watching video and playing games, they are IPX4 water rated which is pretty much just splashing water / rain.
Given the price point of the JVC HA-A30T I didn’t expect much and boy was I surprised!
Noise canceling is pretty good and can be toggled on and off with the touch control on the Right ear and volume and play / pause are controlled with the Left ear.
I have true wireless active NC earphones from many manufacturers and while the JVC HA-A30T are not the best they are up there. I do wish there was a companion App to help with controlling the ANC and other settings but its not a deal killer.
For sound the JVC HA-A30T have 6.0mm Neodymium drivers that sound real good. The sound stage is expansive and the bass does not sound tinny. There is even a setting to toggle from Flat Sound mode to Bass Boost.
Phone calls sound good and callers had no issues hearing me over ambient noise etc.
With 21hr Batt life or 17hr when using ANC, they give many hours of listening pleasure.
Easy to carry, sound great with ANC and a great value….you can’t go wrong with the JVC HA-A30T.

The Logitech MX Master 3S is a great Mouse that you can take anywhere and it will work with up to 3 different devices which is a welcome versatile feature.
First thing I did after taking the Logitech MX Master 3S out of the box was charge it with the included USB C cord, and Logitech claims the battery will last up to 70 days which is more than enough lasting power for me, if I get a month or so I’ll be happy. Time will tell.
The Logitech MX Master 3S comes with an included Logi Bolt Bluetooth receiver but I didn’t need to use it for any of my devices.
I paired my Logitech MX Master 3S with my MacBook, a Windows Gaming Laptop and an iPad Pro and once paired switching and working with different devices back and forth was seamless.
The Logitech MX Master 3S is fully customizable if using the Logi Options+ software which is available for PC and Mac.
Scrolling is smooth and overall operation of the Logitech MX Master 3S is fantastic.
The Logitech MX Master 3S is my go to Mouse for all my devices now.

First thing I did was charge my Foreo Luna 3 which appears to be identical to the one for women, the only difference is the women's one is pink in color. Once charged I linked it up with the companion app that helps with instructions on how to best use the Foreo Luna 3 to cleanse and massage your face.
Using the Foreo Luna 3 for the default 2 minute cleansing routines I found to be the least intrusive and best way to get used to using it.
The Luna 3 is 100% waterproof and leaving it in the shower is the best way to make sure I use it regularly.
The battery seems to last forever so time between charges will be long (they say 650 uses) so thats convenient.
Overall I like how my skin looks using some gentle exfoliating cream along with the Luna 3.
Just get it...youll be glad you did.

Very simple to set up and even simpler to use. Just take the Cleanstation out of the box and attach the power supply cord to the bottom. Plug in the Cleanstation and it illuminates around the top to indicate its on.
Place your phone in the opening and the Cleanstation does the rest automatically.
The phone lowers into the cleaning chamber and the light illuminates to show the UV Cleaning is happening. After 30 seconds the Cleanstation sounds a chime and up comes your phone out of the cleaning chamber, its that simple.

Simplehuman states the Cleanstation kills 99.9% of all germs with its UV light which in this day and age comes in handy.

How Often Used:3-5 times a week
I was excited when I saw these announced and couldn’t wait to have them.
The RayBan Stories are stylish (a little bigger than I prefer but still ok) and pack some cool discreet tech in them. If you compared them to regular sunglasses these are just a little bit heavier than a regular pair of RayBans would be.
In order to fully take advantage of the tech in the Stories you do need to have a Facebook account and download the “Facebook View” App. I wish there was a way to use them without having to link with Facebook but that’s not a choice.
With that said its very easy to share what you produce with your Stories on Instagram or Facebook so that’s a plus I guess.
Charging is straightforward with the included charging case and takes just over an hour to fully charge and RayBan states that would equal about 6 hours of use, I found I got most of a days use out of them and I was using them probably more than I normally would just to put the Stories to the test.
Pairing the Stories is easy to do if you follow the instructions in the Facebook View App.
The picture and video quality is a bit underwhelming especially compared with todays smartphone cameras so there is that trade off but its pretty cool to have action cam like ease of capturing what you are doing and then sharing easily. I also found that adequate lighting is a must as any low light scenario causes the photos etc to be noisy and slightly blurry.
Adding to the ease of use, you can say “Hey Facebook, take a picture” or “Hey Facebook, take a video” and the Stories will carry out that command which is pretty cool.
The Stories have open air speakers on board as well which sound better than I thought they would and they do lack bass which is to be expected but overall I was pleased with the sound from them given the open air limitations of the design.
I used the Stories for regular phone calls and some conference calls and the voices came through pretty clearly and the people on the calls were able to hear me ok even with some moderate background noise.

What do you look for in the perfect smart bottle? Hydration reminders? UV Sterilization? A temperature sensor? The NOERDEN LIZ has it all and more. All of the tech is found in its touch activated smart lid, which houses the UV-C light, temperature sensor, and LEDs. LIZ is beautifully designed, easy to use, and has a long-lasting battery – simply tap on the lid to activate its smart functions, wherever you are.

In the normal course of a day we must stay hydrated.
Having a large enough volume of whatever liquid you are drinking is the first thing I look for in a daily use Thermal Bottle and at 16oz this is the perfect size for me.
Does it keep what you have in it hot or cold is also a consideration and
the Noerden Liz is great at maintaining close to original temp whether it is hot or cold.
I’ve had coffee in the Liz and cold beverages and temp was maintained allowing me to consume the contents over the course of a few hours if needed.

Now to what really makes the Liz different.
UV Sterilization- this is definitely something that is unique and useful particularly if you are a camper or ever find yourself in a position to have to drink questionable water. The Liz actually sterilizes your drink, killing any bacteria or virus in your liquid! Very timely in this day and age.
You can check the temp of your drink by tapping on the lid, the indicator will show whether your drink is Cold/Warm/Hot with the various color indicators.
Hydration reminders- are a nice feature as the bottle will flash the LED in the lid every two hours to remind you to drink. This is great, but, you need to have the Liz in front of you or in close proximity to notice the flashing LED.
I love the Noerden Liz, its just short of perfect in my eyes however. What would make it perfect would be the linking to an app to have your phone let you know when the bottle is reminding you to drink. There is a way to have a reminder in the Noerden App but its just an alarm, not linked in any way to the Liz via Bluetooth.

Perfect Family Communication Hub

Setup is easy by just linking your Facebook account with the Facebook Portal+
The touch screen on the Facebook Portal+ is a 14 inch HD Screen that looks great. When set up to display the photos on your Facebook account it’s a nice digital picture frame that can change the picture displayed at the interval you choose.
I put the Facebook Portal+ in our Kitchen on the counter which is a convenient place to be able to see the pics displayed and to use for video calls.
My main reason for having the Facebook Portal+ is the video conferencing feature. With an adult child out of the house and me traveling quite a bit for business it’s a great tool to use for keeping the family in touch. Video calls can be made with Messenger, Whats App or Zoom, which is convenient for both work and play.
Initiating calls is simple to do by just choosing the contact you want to video chat with and initiating the call. The 14 inch screen is the perfect size to see who you are talking to and the video that is broadcast from the on board camera is gorgeous.
With the Smart Camera and Smart Sound features of the Facebook Portal+ the camera follows you around the room panning and zooming when needed and also widening if a few people are chatting in the frame, I find it works pretty flawlessly. The Smart Sound feature enhances the voice of whomever is speaking so there is no problem with the party you are video chatting with hearing every word said.
For privacy, both the camera and mic are easily disabled so “Big Brother” can’t hear what you are saying when not using the Facebook Portal+ if you choose.
Alexa is built in as well as utilizing the Facebook Portal+ wake up phrase “Hey Portal” to check weather, ask for a song to be played from Spotify etc.
There is a limited selection of Apps and I wish there was more of a choice which will hopefully be coming in the future. For example I’d love to have a weather app that displayed detailed weather on the screen.
Overall, as a communication hub you cant get an easier to use appliance, with more apps it’s a 5 star rating for me.
