The BEST of the BEST!!!

I have been using the Bests Studio Wireless for months now and thought there was no better. Today's purchased the Bose QC35 and all I can say is WOW! The are WAY better. They are lighter, more comfortable and the sound is way better. The noise cancellation is FAR superior and I can hardly hear my Toro Diesel mower even running. It is hard to believe how good they work compared to the Beats Studio Wireless, but they are now sitting on a closet shelf while the new Bose QC35 rule!
I would recommend this to a friend!

My Vivosmart worked perfectly on 2.5 but after 2.6 when I swipe down to see my HR with in seconds the rate drops from 135 (while running) to 71 or 72 without fail. I am not the only one, go to garmins webite support and many are complaining about the same thing

HR function works POORLY
on January 2, 2016

There is currently a bug in the software and when you swipe the screen to see your heart rate it drops to 71 and stays there. Does this over and over. Check out the Garmin forums as they are all having the same problem and getting no help from Garmin. Do not waste your money until they fix this bug!

Wait until they get bugs out or new model
By cybertaz from tampa
I wanted a new GPS that could show satellite images with built in camera so despite the size I choose the Monterra over the Montarra. I was using my GPS with a smart phone for the detailed maps. The Monterra has a great screen; even in direct sun I could see every detail. I liked the Droid OS, making it easy to get other field usefull apps (Tide, Weather forecast, etc). Here came the problems. I researched the unit before buying. The review from last year had many complaints about the compass being inaccurate. Of course that’s the first thing I checked and yes it is still off (even changing from magnetic to true) but what was a big concern was the waypoint bearing was way off.
Contacted Garmin with several email questions with no answer 7 days later and call waiting for hours. At this point I looking to buy older smartphone put backpackers trail app on it and waterproof case. Also, I purchase the Birdseye subscription. Big waste of money, Four to six year old satellite images that require you to connect directly to a computer running Basecamp. Plus it takes hours to download small patches at a time.
Other cons, Multi step add new waypoint while in maps, Multi step camera, No adjustable zoom. Can’t change photos storage location, Can’t change map storage locations (can move them manually to different storage but requires a restart to show them). Waypoint photos have to be cropped. No lock screen (many time I pull the unit up to find screen on and several layers of screens had been selected, Once even setting was opened and changed). No in field mapping (satellite images old and poor quality any ways). Multi step waypoint reached alarms/go to next. (Walked around a waypoint I created for a minute before it showed the next waypoint on the track.) Turn off all the other satellite services or your location will show you jumping around with accuracy of 100-200 ft, no geo cashing with that. All other GPS could show accurate altitude. No location logging filters; make sure you pause record or you’ll have a lot of clean up at home on the tracks. I just may not know how to do it, but no direct upload on active or archived tracks. The only way I found to get tracks into basecamp is to email it then import the attachment. I haven’t found the file on the Garmin unit yet or option to directly down load the tracks. Radio requires headphones to work though the speakers on the unit. That really ruins the idea to use the emergency broad cast warnings option. When headphones are connected no longer water proof.
Garmin was the standard for outdoor devices and navigation, with this product it looks like they are giving up on the hand held market.

Sounds like typical Garmin. Will not buy until they get the bugs fixed. A friend bought and it crashed over and over. The device looks great and the screen is fantastic but none matters if you can not depend on it.

Can someone describe the amount of bass these produce? I an not an audiophile but I do like good quality sound with a slightly higher than average amount of bass. I have felt that previous qc headphone have been flat, how do these compare? Thanks.

They have good clean bass. Not to worry and lots of volume too.

I heard that this headphone doesn't connect with Mac via Bluetooth. Is this true ?

Not true. They connect to my iMac 27", IPad Pro 9.7 and iPad Pro 12 and iPhone 6S+ without a glitch. They are the best of the best.

How well does the noise cancellation work in an environment such as mowing the lawn?

Far superior to the Beats Studio Wireless. I ride a diesel toro 52" and all you can barely hear is a whine faintly. The QC35 are far superior to any noise cancelling headphones I have ever used.

Does this fitness tracker notify you when your inactive for an extended period of time?

No. No movement alarms. It would have been easy to add. Do not wait of Fitbit to add it as they are not adding any features, just fixing bugs.
