I previously owned a Sansa Fuze (with wheel) and when that died after many years of use I tried to get another only to find out it was discontinued and replaced with a newer touch screen type. Well I nixed that newer one as I wanted old style controls and settled on the Clip-Zip as it had near the same features as my old Fuze except it was smaller and lacked a wheel control.
Pros: It is small and still easy to use. Sound is excellent. Can record FM radio (nice). Accepts Micro SD card. Screen is very small but still very readable. Average battery life.
Cons: When recording radio, the recording regularly has skips in it like the processor get overloaded or something. So recording is limited to talk radio shows IMO. This is annoying. Durability is poor. This player is no way near as tough or well made as my old Fuze. After 3 months the headphone jack has gone bad and one channel will not play through the headphones. If I gently bend the headphone jack while plugged in, it works but once I let go it drops out again. The internal jack is broken (not headphones as I have tested with 2 other sets). So this is not good. I am not rough with this and I don't think this should have broken with the use it has had. I am going to try and get it repaired (maybe warranty).
Overall I cannot recommend this player as it lacks durability. It is too bad otherwise it had the potential to be a 4-5 star unit. (I miss my old Sansa Fuze - now that was a GREAT unit!)
What's great about it: Feature packed for tiny player
Make sure you always have batteries on hand to power your keyboard, mouse or other device with this battery charger and 6 rechargeable AA NiMH batteries. The wall outlet charger design lets you charge 2 batteries simultaneously for convenient use.

Nice Design - So-So Battery Life

This is a typically nice clean designed Apple accessory. It works ok. The only issue is the charge life per pair of batteries is not so great. I am only getting maybe 5-6 days from a charge using my Apple Trackpad or Keyboard. (with alkalines it was well over 2 weeks). I have noticed that if you leave the charged batteries in the charger (after charging) they have less capacity than if you pull them out and set them aside after being charged. There must be some sort of drain effect leaving them in the charger. Complaints aside I think this is a worthwhile accessory to have as expensive as throw away batteries have become.
What's great about it: Compact, Nice design, Typically clean Apple Look
Easily navigate using this Apple® Magic MC380LL/A trackpad that features Multi-Touch technology, gesture support and inertial scrolling for smooth, natural movements. Bluetooth technology allows easy wireless connectivity.

Pesky right click.

This would be a 5 star rating if the right click worked well. It does not. Most of the time it ignores the right click and drops selected items for copy. Frustrating. The design, build quality and concept is great and gestures work well in OSX Lion.
Note:To get around the right click issue I set in Sys Prefs. two finger press for right click. This is a remedy but just and odd way to do something I've been trained to use for decades.
What's great about it: Style and build quality
What's not so great: Right click is intermittent and essentially non functional
