I bough this unit and the new htxt2 to compare. Look up htxt2 to see my review on it. This unit wins hands down. The htxt1 has great loud sound and great bass. The bluetooth works great to listen to Pandora or any thing on your mobile device. Sounds great with movies and tv.
One thing that I don't like is the plastic surround on the front grill. Looks a little cheap. The song pal app is great for this unit. You can do all sound adjustment and turn the unit on and off with the app. A+ FOR SONY.

Let me start with I bought the sony htxt1(last year's model) and I noticed the htxt2 came out so I bought it also to compare. I played the same set of songs and hands down the htxt1 is a true winner. With great bass (2 subs) and clean loud sound. The htxt2 has only 1 sub and it has poor bass and the other speakers are underpowered and sounds like you are in a hall. Plus you have to turn the htxt2 up almost all the way to 50 match the sound level of the the htxt1 at 25 half volume!
