Easy to use, no software for BluRay play
on February 24, 2016

Looked for a USB 3.0 blu-ray writer/play and this seemed to fit the bill. Simple to install, just connect the USB 3.0 cable to my iMac and the blu-ray and you are up and running. It is slower than the Apple superdrive but it offers writing blu-ray. The only problem is Pioneer. The web site refuses to allow me to register my product. I sent an email to their support and they answered to call an 866 number and select option 1. The lady who answered told me it is the wrong number and she sent me to the laptop devision. This man sent me to another department and that representative informed me he has no way to help me and i was wasting his time. WTH? Nice product but beware if service is needed as they are not interested in knowing who and when a product is purchased. I would recommend to another to buy if Pioneer would allow registration

Webroot 2 year subscription
on October 13, 2013
Posted by: Bobbyinpa

Good price for two year subscription to Webroots top of the line software that has not kept up with others in usefullness and usability. First the good news, scans are lightning quick and no need to worry if you have the newest definitions as they are alway there for you in the cloud. Now, here are the issues I have run into. First, this program refused to allow me to register and I had to call Webroot for assistance, which was a pleasant experience but I find they are not available 24/7, nothing but email on weekends and they do not respond until the following weekday. The second issue I have is the system analyzer module is worthless. It has been frozen at 4% and every time you open it up Webroot crashes. Just to be sure I scanned my system with another software after I uninstalled Webroot and all is fine. Third, password module has some quirks. When you open it and select keep me loged on, it still logs you off so you must put your email and password in again and again. Then it does not show all the sites you saved, but you can go to your Webroot account and see all the passwords that will work with Webroot for logins. Forth, backup and sync is buggy. I tried to download pictures and it works for a while then just stops. No error messages, no reason why.
The software GUI looks great and it is easy to navigate, but it is no longer the strong software that PC World declared as an editor's choice. I installed this on my mac, perhaps it works on a PC better but I am not going to try it anymore. I just wasted 90 bucks for third world software. Not a happy camper.
What's great about it: Notthing but fast antivirus scans
What's not so great: False positive warnings, quirky firewall, system analyzer that does not work and crashes product

Needed the cable to connect a hard drive. While it worked fine, it is very pricey and short for the price. I think there are better options out there.

Installed in less than 60 seconds and luv the fact all the lights can be off and I can still see the keys I wish to use. Quiet, excellent feel typing, and well made. Two thumbs up for Logitech.
What's great about it: it is visually appealing and the illumination of the keys works well
What's not so great: nothing I can state

It is easy to connect to your PC and it works well, but wait until you need to move the cursor in a precise manner and you will soon be cursing. Other than that, it is OK but not for me.

Best bet for clean clothes
on July 25, 2012
Posted by: Bobbyinpa
from Harrisburg, PA
Delivered by Best Buy employees with care and set up. I use stainless steel hoses to prevent a blow out. After they were done, wee looked over the washer and the matching dryer. Employee set the washer up by starting the drum clean setting and told me to let is finish.
The first load was all my scrubs for an entire week, several polo shirts, a few shorts, and a windbreaker. I could not believe how the washer works without a pool of water in the drum. The two water jets forcibly push water thru the clothes as they tumble. It runs so quiet you have to look to see it running.
When it came to spinning, it rocks the load back and forth to distribute the load equally and then it starts spinning. hardly any vibration noted.
Washed a queen size comforter after this load which my old washer struggled to clean. This washer sensed an unbalanced load and stopped spinning, rocked the load, then started spinning again without any problems. Fantastic!
What's great about it: Quiet, handles large loads, easy to use, fun to watch
What's not so great: n/a

Delivered and set up with care by Best Buy employees at the promised time. Made sure all was fine before they left and then set the washer to drum clean. I also ran the dryer empty for 20 minutes to "cure" the elements.
First load of laundry was dry in less than 20 minutes, fantastic. i highly recommend this dryer. The pedestal raises the dryer 15 inches so you can still lay laundry on top of the dryer to fold.

Come in a very BIG box so it may be hard to handle. Was packed very well and the isntructions are so simple that anyone can install this printer using USB, Wireless, or Networked. Connecting through my router now offers this printer to every computer on my network. Software installation on windows 7 is a breeze. I am impressed with HP and their support. This is definately the All-In-One that you want to buy.

Owned this now for about three weeks. Returned the Hitachi as it kept cycling over and over all the time and locked my system up. Powered up the Seagate, plugged in the USB, and it was a pleasant experience all around. I reformatted for NTFS file system and using this on Windows XP Pro with SP 2.
Backups are fast, error free, and that makes one less worry for home safety. Go ahead and take the plunge, you deserve a great product and this will do it for you.

Follow up after tech support
October 24, 2013
I spent an afternoon on the phone with a polite and knowledgable support tech at Webroot. We tried to correct the system analyzer crash issue along with the disappearing password and login site problem that seems to plague the mac OS. A fix was not in store for me and I was told a level two tech support would contact me the following Monday in the afternoon. We confirmed time zone and phone numbers.
I never was contacted by tech support level two, the ball was dropped by this company. They uninstalled my purchased product and in place installed an alpha version which caused my mac to operate slow and more prone to Webroot crashing. Like I said before, I have uninstalled and went with another competitor's product which works as promised and no crashing. I believe Webroot to be a good product in the past, but the poor tech support and unreliable software makes this a poor choice for your system. I say stay away and look elsewhere.

Update to review 11-15-13
November 15, 2013
Well, it has been over a month and still the same issues for mac users. The system analyzer still crashes the program and will not work at all, the password module does not show the saved sites in the program but they show up in your web account when signed in. They gave me a month extension to my 2 year subscription, but they still are pushing a non-functional program for mac users. Unacceptable and I still would not recommend Webroot to anyone.

Update to original review
December 5, 2013
After a couple more emails and finally a phone call to Webroot tech support explaining it has been almost 2 months for the same issues I finally got a sympathetic support rep who I allowed remote access in my mac for the second time. He also had a higher level tech support technician to "piggy back" in my system. This remote session lasted well over 50 minutes and they took core files to study. The first tech told me this is a known issue with macs, the second tech told me he was unsure what is wrong. I allowed them to uninstall, reinstall diagnostic versions of their software, and alpha versions. The end result, the same problems occur every time. System analyzer crashes the entire program and loops the fault over and over and over. Password manager does not show your saved passwords the extension with safari but the Webroot account pages shows all the passwords. Now Webroot has blocked access to my virtual desktop at work, but once I uninstalled the software I am able to reconnect again. i guess I need to keep it off my system for now.
Webroot is light, easy to install, and wicked fast. On a PC is may be a great product and stable, but on a mac it is a true nightmare. I will be asking to be reimbursed my purchase price from Webroot if all issues are not fixed within a week. The online tech stated he understood my position and felt Webroot would follow suit. Will continue to follow up with my personal experience with Webroot.

Last update about Webroot tech support for mac
December 12, 2013
Well, I have received a complete refund from BestBuy including a refund and return of my BestBuy Reward certificate with very little effort. Webroot did not want to talk about refunds as I was told "we are working to fix your issues". It has been over 2 months and WSA still does not work on a mac without crashing. Tech Support tells me the product does work on a mac but why can they not get it to work an my mac? Once tech support agent told me there are mac issues and Webroot has their mac guru pulling files off my system when I allowed them to log in remotely to see it crashing.
This software is regarded highly on a PC, but run away as fast as you can if you have a mac. The hassle of tech support is unbearable and they drop the ball on your case. No one should be treated so poorly from a company that is recommended by PCWorld. I will be sharing my emails and experience so others can be saved from tech support hell.

Since Webroot could not get their product to work after waiting for two months I asked for a refund. I was told Webroot works on macs, but I guess my Mac must be special. Kudos to BestBuy. A full refund including my reward zone certificate returned for use. BestBuy is tops in customer service. The best part of this is I don't have to mess with Webroot anymore.

It is a shame you took it back. The instruction manual describes how to make the bottom tray expand to accomidate 11x17 paper. If you haven't bought another product you should go back and repurchase this printer, it is truly a 5 star item.

WegRoot Verify account

I have installed webroot security and entered all the required info user id, Password and security number code. When I get the Email that generates the security check and says enter the second and fifth position of the code I keep getting a Urc2 error message. How do I fix this ??
You need to call Webroot at their toll free number for tech support, but get ready to wait as it usually takes them to finally answer the phone after you are on hold listening to the same old song at least 30 minutes.
