Good Basic phone

I bought this phone to replace a Razor V9, one of the best phones I ever had. It was very hard to find a flip phone that wasn't cheaply made.
This is not part metal, but it seems to be durable. I dropped it a couple of times already, and it's still working fine. I had to play around with the settings to get it customized for me. Took a little while to figure it out. I had a couple of Samsung phones, Flight 2 & Impression. (I wasn't impressed.) Did'nt like the menu, or how I couldn't see screen in bright sunlight. Keyboards wern't too great either, but I'm not a big texter. I am used to texting with the V9 so there is no problem with sending a message or two on this phone.
I first found this on line on ATT's website and did a little research. There wasn't alot of info on it, but I took a chance anyway. I puchaced it outright from BB. I didn't want to resign a contract. The price ($119.00) was perfect for me. $100. for 2 year black tie protection.
I had this phone for a month now, and I really like it. Calls are clear, and reception in my area is good. It takes pretty good pictures too.
This one is a keeper for now.
What's great about it: You don't need a data plan or unlimited texting.
What's not so great: It's not a Motorola Razer V9
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Little Speakers!

Great small speakers! Have it paired with a ProCenter 1000. Very good blending. I was going to buy the ProMon1000,but the Def Tech web site recommends you pair the ProCenter 1000 with the 800's. These speakers are small, but the fill up my living room with great sound!
My space is "14'w x 18' d with and open kitchen/dining area. I also have vaulted ceilings. No problems! Because they are small, they don't distract from the TV.
What's great about it: Almost don't see them, but you sure can hear them!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Now I hear what I've been missing!

Two months ago, I purchased the Onkyo 608 AVR . With the HTIB speakers it sounded better, but still lacking on dialogue. I read many reviews on Definitive Tech, went to BB Magnolia and gave it a listen.
I asked to hear the ProCenter 1000 with the Onkyo 608. I was pleasantly surprised. It is a small speaker (14" wide) but fits nicely on my HT stand. Connected it with banana plugs and noticed the difference right away! Sound is very good, and now it is broken in, it sounds even better. It has great range with highs and bass.
I have the crossover set at 120 hz, that is what the Audessey eq put it at on the Onkyo. It does handle the power of the receiver easily. I haven't heard any distortion. I don't play movies or music extremely loud (I'm on the 2nd floor).
About a month ago I paired it with 2 Pro-Monitor 800 for the front. Sounds great! and it flows seamlessly across the channels. I watched "Field of Dreams" recorded on my DVR to test the "quiet" volume. I could hear, the rustling of the cornstalks, the wind, and birds chirping in the background. I also heard very clearly, the whisper of the line "If you build it, he will come."
I know it may sound lame, but most reviews state how loud it is or how much the bass thumps, but never subtle sounds. The Def Techs handled all the ranges I threw at it, including all the battle scenes from various Bluray movies. Music sounds very good also. Tried some Classic Rock from the Comcast Digital Music channels. A Vivaldi CD, and a Pink Floyd "Dark side of the Moon" CD. Yep, it was all good! Very good blending of the speakers. I will eventually replace the surrounds and sub with Def Techs in the future. But for now, everything sounds great. I admit, I'm not an audiophile, but I like what I'm hearing!
What's great about it: Great sound from small speaker!
What's not so great: Nothing yet.

Mighty mouse...

I had this mouse for over 2 months now. It's a great little mouse. Got it to use with my new Toshiba Laptop, I really didn't like the touch pad. This mouse is much better than the corded on on our desktop. It is very responsive and accurate. It also works well on almost any surface. At first I thought the Bluetrack tech was a gimmick, but it really works! It even worked on my knee when I was sitting at my favorite chair. It is comfortable in my hand. My son likes it too,he has large hands Because it's a 2.4 ghz instead of bluetooth it doesn't drain the laptop battery like our bluetooth mouse did.
And the nano usb control is almost out of sight.
I just love it.Paid $39.99 for it, it's worth it. If you can get it on sale, even better!
What's great about it: Plug & Play
What's not so great: Nothing
I would recommend this to a friend!

The all-new thinner and lighter design makes iPad 2 even more comfortable to hold. It's even more powerful with the dual-core A5 chip, yet has the same 10 hours of battery life.1 With two cameras, you can make FaceTime video calls,2 record HD video and put a twist on your snapshots in Photo Booth. And the iPad Smart Cover attaches magnetically and wakes up, stands up and brightens up your iPad 2.3

Actually durable, OK for mannered child.
By TJG51532 from Shreveport, LA
I bought this iPad 2 about six months ago and am just now writing a review. The reason being is my ongoing satisfaction level. I was an Apple 'hater' until the portable 'i' line was developed.
The reason I bought one was for my autistic child. He was six when I bought it and seven now. He is pretty well behaved and knows better than to throw the iPad in a fit. Yet, he does still manage to let it fall off the bed or couch once in a while. It only has a thin leather Targus case on it. But in six months of daily use from an autistic six year old boy it's still good as new, minus the lint buildup in the ports.
My personal favorite is the Buzz Player App in the app store. It plays almost any video file very well. I have tons of DivX media and its good to know that I can load up a couple of seasons of a show to watch.
From my personal use, I'll put it this way. I'm currently saving to purchase an iPad 3 this summer.
before you buy that tv or dvd or laptop; give one of these a go.

Thank you for your review. I have an autistic child too (17) May I ask, Is he verbal? If not, do you use the IPad as a augmentative communication device? Or just for fun? It sound like it held up quite well. my son uses the laptop for only one website. I'm trying to decide between Samsung Galaxy Tab2 or the Ipad2. I really would like the "new Ipad, but can't afford it. Especially since IPad doesn't have expandable storage.I do not own any apple products at this time.

Excellent for out and about Computer in car
By Clariaty from Ravenna
I really like the fact that it can rest on my lap and steering wheel and I can perform all task that I need to do on the go. I would certainly not want to use it at a desk type envirnment, still like a full screen. I tried a Nexus 7, and I like the Nexus 7 for web browsing but was annoyed when so called office compatible software would change format settings on a document. I use this device primarily in a vehicle and move things back and forth via cloud and it works great. I can get a weeks use from a single charge and am pleased with that. The touch screen is really helpful with the scrolling in a vehicle too.

Please tell me you are not DRIVING while using your tablet! I am a professional driver and I've seen too many distracted drivers get into accidents because their eyes and attention were on something other than the road. So hopefully, we will never have an "ENCOUNTER" because you are performing all your tasks "ON THE GO".

Thanks for dropping the price right after I bought
By RedLfnt from Dallas, TX
Bought it for my wife only because she likes the gold color. I don't really care about the phone. Really just mad that Best Buy dropped the price another $25 the day after I bought it and they won't honor their price match policy on their own website. Took 30 minutes of transfers (three) and holds with customer service for them to tell me that. Not a good way to treat an Elite Plus customer!

I bought an Ipad at best buy. The next week it dropped 60 dollars I brought my receipt to the store. They did a return and repurchase at the lower price. No problem.

Love the tv-but no WATCH ESPN
By Bill from san diego, ca
Why doesn't Samsung have the Watch ESPN APP? They make a very good TV but for a sports enthusiast that's a deal breaker. Had I know I would have not bought it.

Watch ESPN

None of the big screen smart tvs have the Watch ESPN app. I too was disappointed about that. No reason is given on why, especially, when you can get it on your phone, tablet, computer, and all the streaming boxes out there.
