Good fun, Great Music

I'm a Glee fan for sure, and this CD is able to bring together the great musical tracks from the episodes. I love hearing them in their entirety, and the performers are fantastic.
What's great about it: Music expanded from the show's "clips"
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Wide-Angle Solution
on December 8, 2009

The 17-40mm f/4L is a great wide angle solution for full-frame sensor cameras. If you have a cropped sensor in your camera (XTi, XSi, T1i, 40D, 50D, 7D) then you might rather pick up the excellent EF-S 10-22mm (sku 7170116) which will appear much wider for the same money.
Great for landscapes, portraits, fine art, etc. Wide angle lenses can be some of the most fun. I would recommend that keeping heads away from the corners in your portraits (especially at 17mm) or you'll see some pretty strange distortion. You can use Photoshop to correct the lines in wide images if need be.
The minimum focusing distance on this lens is great for doing interesting foreground (i.e. a flower) with mountains or hills in the background, however; at f/4 it does blur the background somewhat, so for better focused backgrounds you'll want to work with smaller aperatures (f/11-f22).
The build quality is what you would expect from an L ("Luxury") Canon lens, supurb. Autofocus is quick, and images are extremely sharp.
What's great about it: Focal Legnth is perfect for full frame bodies
What's not so great: Slower maximum aperature (f/4)
I would recommend this to a friend!

Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro Lens: This Canon macro lens enables life-size magnification of small subjects. The included macroflash makes it easy to take close-ups even in dim lighting, while the inner focusing and ring USM offer sharp images with negligible blur.

Great Macro/Portrait Lens
on December 8, 2009

I've been using this lens for almost 2 years for portrait and macro work. I would say that it is very comparible to the 70-200 f/2.8L IS at 100mm for portraits (sharpness, saturation, bokeh, etc). It's not "L" build quality, but it holds up nice and has a decent weight to it.
If you're looking for L glass at this focal length, check out Canon's new 100mm f/2.8L IS (although it's a bit more pricy).
Overall I am happy with the true macro capability (1:1). If you're looking to get into macro photography, or you're looking for a great portrait lens, give this one a try.
What's great about it: f/2.8 aperature for great bokeh in portraits, true 1:1 macro
I would recommend this to a friend!

A Great Camera Bag for All Users
on December 8, 2009

My business partner and I both have carried these bags for over 2 years. We've travelled all over doing hiking, motorcycling, been in the rain, on the water, etc. etc. These backpacks are built to last. My only complaint is that it doesn't magically grow to support all the new gear I've purchased over the last year or so.
Definately buy this bag.
What's great about it: Optimizes size with great build quality, able to hold quite a bit.
I would recommend this to a friend!

which cameras can you connect to a computer and use your monitor as a view finder???

what i mean is i have seen a camera connect to a computer and what the camera saw was on the computer monitor, similar to how a web cam works but it was a point and shoot digital camera.
Canon includes software in all of it's EOS cameras called Digital Photo Professional (DPP) which allows tethered shooting. This means you can make full-manual changes to the camera via a USB cable and take the pictures with Live View support.

What DSLR is best for racing photos

The new Canon 7D would be a great choice (sku 9491944). It is capable of a blazing fast 8 FPS, and the 1.6 crop factor sensor will bring you closer to the action (100mm lens = 160mm on this sensor).

My Canon Digital Video Camcorder does not work . How can I play my tapes without athe camcorder?

Is there an adapter? Do I have to continue buying miniDV camcorders to play my hundreds of tapes? Obviously they are changing the camcorders so we don't have to buy/use tapes. What is the solution to my problem?
If you're looking to keep your video for future generations I would recommend using Best Buy's new iMemories service. You can have them digitize your tapes for $9.99 each, and make a DVD for an additional $9.99.

What is "a dongle" (re: to a digital photo frame)?

Some of the "Pandigital" photo frames indicate that they are Wi-Fi and Bluetooth-compatible; to allow wireless access, a dongle is required but not included in the box. Please explain what this is.
A dongle refers to a USB wireless device. You will want to refer to your product manual to choose one which will be compatible with your photo frame.

Linksys, Netgear, Belkin, Dynex, and Buffalo are some popular brands of USB wireless devices.
