Bought primarily to have a better storage solution for my loose PS1 Games that are in paper sleeves. Do like the fact it had colors so It was an ok buy overall. A little on the pricey side but otherwise good.

Great solid budget cable

Was perfect for connecting my new HP 10.1" Stream laptop to my new Dynex 16" LED Television. No frustration, no extra cables needed for audio, picture and audio comes from one cable. Very satisfied with my purchase. Can play all my games on my TV now (Think retro classics)

Very frustrating activation process- Bad support

I placed an online order and chose a plan. So I go into the store and the reps are very helpful. However it seemed like a nightmare to transfer my number from Tracfone to T Mobile. I was lead to believe that the activation process for my new phone was instantaneous and I would leave the store with a working phone. My phone was not activated until after midnight the next day. I tried to go on T Mobiles Facebook page and every reply I gave them I had to wait a half hour for each reply I made to them on their "T Force" Social Media service. It was getting late and I had to go to bed. I did not have time for their grossly delayed replies. Finally when I woke up this morning, the phone was activated and I just had to pay for my service to get started. To make matters worse, T Mobile customer support is closed late at night so I could not get much of anything accomplished. The local store gets a 5 stars for going out of their way to figure out what was wrong but the initial support experience at T Mobile only gets 3 stars for making me wait forever to figure out what was going on.
I switched to this carrier because I needed unlimited minutes and texts and their offer and reliable service was a done deal. I will just keep in mind that perhaps I should call on the phone during hours and speak to a live person rather then waiting on Facebook.
You may have a better support experience if you are getting a new phone number for activation, otherwise be prepared for frustration if you port in your number. I forgave T Mobile and I've moved on.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

A replacement for my 15 year old CRT

I had a Sylvania 27" CRT television that went out today and I could not afford a really big television. The price for $79.99 was just right. While this is much smaller then the television I had previously the picture quality is amazing and it has the right ports I want in case I decide to buy one of those video game systems that require HDMI. I do have my Insignia DVD player and Sony Playstation 1 hooked up through this television (Needed an AV splitter to do so) and they looked very nice. Remote came with batteries too which was a plus.
The unit was very easy to assemble with the stand and I did not need any tools to assemble the television. My only gripe about this is that in my bedroom I have a coaxial connection for DISH. Getting the connector to screw in the port was a big challenge but once I got it fastened in there, I was able to scan for the channel my DISH TV service was on (CH 60) and was able to view TV. It did look very nice over coaxial cable.
If you are looking for a very budget friendly television with great pictures and lots of options you have come across a good value for this TV. Just remember the price you paid and don't expect big theater sound and remember the basics.

My Dell XPS M1530 finally stopped working and I needed a replacement laptop. Now you are thinking, I must be crazy to use this kind of laptop for gaming. But the graphics chip that's onboard is better then the Geforce 8400M GS that was on my previous laptop. In order to play games, you need to remove all the bloat on the laptop.
Here is what you will need for your laptop to game on it:
16GB Flash Drive (for creating the recovery drive)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
1TB External USB 3.0 HDD
4 Port USB Hub
XBOX 360 Controller (Logitech F310 Gamepad Suggested)
Do NOT install games on the main hard drive, there is not enough space, always install to the external drive.
Additionally you will want to disable Fast Shutdown and Fast Boot, turn off system protection and disable Windows Update. That will speed things up considerably. Don't remove the HP apps or you will not be able to create a recovery drive. You can't burn DVD media anymore.
Performance Wise: I played some older games on Steam that had 3D Graphics and they ran reasonably well if you turn down the detail level in some games. You won't be able to play GTA V so don't try it.
You can't upgrade the HDD, You can't upgrade the ram. You have to install larger programs to the external HD.
Overall a great bargain for $199. Trend Micro and 1 year of Office was a bonus.

I run Windows XP SP3 Pro still. I know it's not supported anymore but 2 days ago when I ran my computer I got the dreaded Smart error saying my hard drive was about to fail and I needed to backup my stuff immediately. Well I did not have anything important inside my computer, but I still needed my computer. Could not afford a new one. This one was very affordable and installed easily in my Dell XPS M1530 in minutes. I ran the full format on the HDD and then installed XP SP3 Pro onto the hard drive, ran the Windows Updates and put my programs back on there. I have had no performance issues using the HDD whatsoever. It was $50 during the sale and I bought it using store pickup. The staff that helped me with my store pickup was very courteous too at Store #364. This is a fantastic value and a must have for anyone that wants to keep their current computer but don't want to buy a new one. Just remember what I said in my review. Don't do a quick format, do a full format. XP Pro disc has a full format feature. Otherwise use a tool you can boot from disc and format the disc fully there.

Enjoy your favorite tunes with this speaker that is compatible with Apple iPod and most MP3 and CD players. The standard auxiliary input allows for an easy connection.

Very nice sound for a tiny speaker

I have a smart phone that I recently bought and I like to listen to talk radio when I'm on the go. The sound that my LG Optimus Dynamic puts out is very tiny. Adding this speaker to the mix really amplifies the sound and makes it audible in the pocket of my backpack. I would suggest getting an extension cord for your smart phone so one pocket can have the speaker in it and the other pocket can have your smart phone in it. Well worth the money. One thing to note. If you start to hear distorted speakers on your unit that means its low on batteries. The light will also dim with loud volume to indicate this as well.

Why pay more then you have to?

Well, I'm very budget conscious but I like to burn lots of movies to discs. I've used all 25 in the spindle and I did not have one bad disk out of the 25 of them. I'm surprised on how durable and well made these disks are. Taking a disk out of a case has proven that they won't snap in the area where your finger goes through. You can get these on sale from time to time but for the price you pay its very reasonable for an everyday price.

Plays discs well, seems built good

I had a Magnavox DVD Player that was manufactured in 2005 and it finally went out after all these years! Pretty good run. But I did not have the $$$$ to spend on a new unit. Picked this up at Best Buy and brought it home for less then $30 on sale. Was easy to hookup and worked right away. I loved the fact that the DVD Player had included a battery with the remote. The unit had no A/V Cables to hook up to the TV but if you are replacing your DVD player that broke with the new one such as this unit you can use the old cables.
I'm not ready for HD or Bluray yet and have a 4X3 CRT that still works so it works well for my usage.
Here is a hint when you first set it up. If you are hooking this up into a flat screen TV. The unit is already configured by default to look optimal on the screen at 16x9
If you are on a CRT TV you will want to go to the setup button on the remote and change the TV Type to 4x3 letterbox. If you don't do this , some movies will look cutoff.
I know Blu Ray is slowly becoming shelved in favor of HD Streaming Movies and with DVD Movies you can only get them these days by buying combo packs. but if your old school like me, and treasure your movies, you will want to get this DVD Player and continue watching them. If you have kids and they have their own TVs its a great buy and while the product appearance is not fancy it does what its supposed to at a price that won't break your pocketbook.
What's great about it: Remote control comes with batteries , price point
What's not so great: A/V Cable is not included. No biggie since I used my own

Now I am going to keep this in mind.
1. The Computer has a Celeron Processor.
2. The Computer has only 2GB of Ram

Opening the laptop out of the box had me scratch my head. There was no battery in there, so I called Acer, and they told me that the battery was integrated inside the unit and was not easily replaceable by the user. This is a big turn off but it's the truth per Acer customer representative. The Memory is also not user replaceable and requires someone with the know how in order to pry open apart the casing , disconnect some wires and unscrew a few things in order to get to the memory compartment. Not happy about this one.
Finally after I got it all up and running and all the junk stripped off of there, The unit was experiencing the "BSOD" behavior. In this case of Windows 8 it politely tells you an unexpected error happened and it needs to restart. I called Acer once more and they had me to a PC Refresh and remove all the USB components from the laptop until the whole setup completed. That seemed to do the trick and the system seems steady and stable right now. I will monitor the unit to see if the behavior returns again. If it does within the 14 day period I will be taking the unit back for a refund. I do believe it was a temporary glitch but then again one glitch can lead up to another and you don't even know it.
3 Stars for now - Until I can properly assess the units performance and have a better experience with it. I got it for work because I work in Customer Service, but this initial trouble had me frustrated the whole night because buying a new computer rarely happens on my budget and its a big purchase.
What's great about it: HDMI, Buiilt in Bluetooth.
What's not so great: Initial Experience left me with a sour taste about computing in general.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

my new laptop started showing this weird pattern, randomly, on the first day I started surfing the internet. I haven't tried other programs yet. What could be causing it? I will be returning unit to the store for a replacement.

Bad version of Firefox

It appears that this version of Firefox was incorrectly configured at the factory. Since version 47 is out now I suggest removing the one that Acer included and download the new one from the Firefox website. The laptop is fine, it's the browser.

. . . is slow. Right out of the box I was very disappointed. The specs seem fine: i5 processor and 8 gigs of RAM. But this laptop just ran slow. Sluggish response in just about every way. Just not acceptable for someone on the go. A client who is a busy business owner bought this for himself and after I set it up I suggested he return it.

Once you create the recovery drive and make a backup of the wireless drivers, you can take a Windows 10 iso and do a clean format and let Windows 10 Update take care of the rest of the install. This is going to take some time, but should help with the sluggish nature of the laptop. I had noticed this too when I opened it up out of the box, that and the Firefox issue with the black dots appearing, it seems if you disable hardware acceleration the problem goes away.

This was a upgrade tracfone from the zte. Worked fine for the first 7 days,than on sunday no service. The phone is dead to call or receive call's or text. Called tracfone and they could do nothing. They said call back tomorrow when verizon is open to find out the problem. So no phone for the day ,and don't know what will happen. I will update when i know.

No Service

My phone all of a sudden said no service to me when I was in Disneyland last month, and I did not have any cell service. Was without a phone for 2 days. I had an old Pixi Pulsar Android phone that I upgraded from, so I took the SIM card out of the Galaxy Prime and put it into the Pixi Pulsar. I turned off the Pixi Pulsar and put it back into the Galaxy Prime and my service came back. Was a weird service glitch but I ended up not needing the SIM Card they sent me.

Can you get live sports like Jays and Leafs? I heard you can purchase basic tv package with it?
There are major premium networks you can subscribe to like NHL Center Ice through the official app. You will need to sign up for NHL.com and a Center Ice package in order to stream hockey games on your TV. This is subject to blackout rules just like the television games played online.

Does the Roku Express Steaming media player get 5G? I currently have Roku 2XS and it will not pick up my 5G signal (and therefore will not play my STARZ channel). I need a Roku that can access 5G wifi.
I'm not sure why you would need a 5ghz band to stream HD content for Starz. I had used the app Fandango now to stream Moana in HD and I was connected to the 2.4ghz band the whole time without lag. If you're finding constant dropouts while using the 2.4 ghz band consider changing the radio channel for your router to see if that helps.

You only have one HDMI port. You can use the USB port to add a monitor using a USB dongle.

You can. I did and it works 100% no incompatibility issues.

I want to order the Pixel to my Hotel (I'll stay in NY for a few days next week), BUT a signature is required for delivery of this item. Any idea on how can this work?
There is one way but you must sign up for the carriers online delivery account and waive your rights against the shipper to leave the item without a signature. This can be very dangerous so I would suggest that you find a friend that lives in that area and have it delivered to them.
Also if you live an an international area and not in the USA, the phone is not guaranteed to work in an international locale.

A Verizon postpaid SIM is inside the box but I activated my device on Tracfone using their own SIM. The device is not carrier locked.

When you preorder the phone for retail you pay 699$. Do I also pay tax on the 699$ because than it would be over 730$. Or is the 699$ with tax?

What is Best Buy's return policy for phones? Also for how long will the gift card and chromecast promo offer continue?
You have 14 days to return a device regardless of your My Best Buy status. If you return you're responsible for notifying the carrier of your return and cancelling any applicable service or you may be slapped with penalties.
