I am NOT a hair person so any tool that comes along meant to make dealing with my hair an easier task I am more than willing to give it a try. This is similar to another popular brand on the market but it has less attachments. This is definitely not a bad thing unless you need the other attachments to achieve the look you are hoping for. The instructions for this one is pretty straightforward and simple, even for someone like me. The smoothing brush attachment does an okay job smoothing my hair texture but I immediately knew I would have to add one more tool to this setup to accommodate my natural hair texture and get the smoothness I need to avoid any additional heat in my hair after completing the process until my next hair wash. So I did have to use a flat iron to truly smooth my hair out. Also, because of the texture of my hair (which many women of color may be in the same boat) the idea of leaving hair not completely dry to use the curling attachment isn’t realistic as my hair would not hold up 5 minutes after walking out of the door if I tried that and my hair would become a huge poofy mess. Using a small amount of setting spray on each section before using the curling attachment is what works for me. It’s a bit of a learning curve if you haven’t used the similar version but ultimately this works well enough. It won’t give you the same curls you could achieve with an actual curling iron but it will give you nice, soft waves to curls (smaller sections of hair to achieve more curl, bigger section to achieve soft waves). For some hair types this will be an excellent addition to their routine. For myself, it’s good if you have the additional time and if using the safer heat option for your hair to try and maintain hair health with less damage from heat. But ultimately I would probably opt for the flat iron and using it to create the curls I may want versus having to pull this set out regularly.

Who needs a coffee shop run?

Because I have been impressed with everything Ninja that I own I expected no less for this. This is no different thankfully. While I enjoy my other brand machine and will continue to use it in my office, this one better fits my household overall needs. I wanted something that could let me make a full pot of coffee when several people wanted a cup versus having to take turns making a single cup with my other machine as well as giving me an at-home barista kind of feel. This definitely does that and to my joy, it not only uses pods but can use K-Cups also. And of course, you can use ground coffee as well. The frother is a nice addition although it's an afterthought for me and likely won't be something I use often (but I know it will get a lot of use by others in my house). Coffee tastes as expected and more importantly, you don't have a lot of grounds making it into your cup or the pot (something I have experienced with similar systems). The coffee stays hot for long periods without the flavor being compromised. And when trying out the different options I found that iced coffees and cappuccinos were amazing so ultimately, this will help cut down on pricey coffee shop runs when you can make what you want at home. This is definitely a nice addition to my kitchen and will get a lot of use by everyone!

Impressive multi-surface cleaner

I always have high hopes for products similar to this but often find myself disappointed. So far I have been pleasantly surprised by how well this works. I have a healthy mix of carpet, hardwood floors, and tiles throughout my home so it's always a necessary evil to deal with different machines and tools to properly clean each surface. With this, that is cut down to just this machine (and for my plush carpeted rooms a dedicated vacuum as this is more suitable for low pile area rugs). This does a great job as a vacuum for my hardwood floors as well as the tiled areas to pick up dirt and dust prior to a deeper clean with the mopping function. The suction is amazing and my floors were left cleaner than I could have ever imagined (which made me realize all that time I THOUGHT my floors were cleaned well I was wrong!). The machine itself is lightweight and the battery life was on par for what I expected from cordless cleaners. The way the self cleaning mode manages to separate debris does help make emptying the tank easier (but you will be in awe of all of the muck your cleaning session produces....especially if you have children, pets...or in my case, teenage athletes that manage to track everything into the house). The Shark branded concentrate leaves a nice fresh scent as well.

Just as the title says, this beast is absolutely mind blowing! I never proclaim myself to be an audiophile, just a lover of music that knows what sounds good to my ears. But this turntable system just may turn me into one!
I couldn't explain all of the technical jargon to you about this turntable even if I wanted to. But for those that are hardcore audiophiles all of the bells and whistles included in this to make it over the top outstanding will likely be the stuff of dreams and make it well worth the price point. With that said, I have no problem admitting that this is absolutely worth ever single penny! The way it transforms and enriches the sound of my vinyl records is breath taking. Vinyl that usually has some characteristic noise when played on my old turntable are transformed when I play them on this. This is in part due to the quality construction of the platter, which is also a thing of beauty to see if aesthetic matter to you at all. I definitely implore you to research all of the amazing materials and procedures used to create this system as it shows the thought and sheer brilliance employed in designing and creating this to elevate your vinyl listening experience.

Absolutely Amazing Option!

I have always leaned towards another brand when it comes to gaming laptops so I didn't expect to be too impressed with this Lenovo Legion Slim 7. I was completely wrong! The 165Hz display is impressive to say the least. I noticed almost nonexistent light bleed...literally, I wouldn't have noticed if I wasn't purposely looking for it. Otherwise, the screen display was virtually flawless to me. The 2560x1600 resolution is amazing with excellent brightness, vivid color saturation, and images appearing sharp during game play. The X-Rite screen calibration app is easy to navigate and made tweaking things a breeze.
My actual gaming experience on this laptop is virtually identical to a different brand gaming laptop I have. I didn't experience any lagging issues. Frame rates were smooth even when playing labor intensive games so far. The built in speakers might be the only complaint I have. The sound quality is worse than any other laptop I have owned ranging from low end to high end. That was surprising but not a deal breaker for me since I would normally opt for wireless headphones or one of my external wireless speakers instead.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quality gaming laptop that won't leave you feeling like you need more.

This little speaker has a lot of punch for something so tiny. Already being familiar with Ultimate Ears speakers that I have had for a few years I wasn’t surprised by how great the sound could be but I was still impressed by this one being much smaller than the 2 others I own. It has a lot of bass and the sound is nice and full without ever having the typical tin can sound the way that a lot of compact speakers experience when you try to may out the volume.
This is perfect for an outdoor gathering although I would recommend not using the outdoor mode as it does noticeable sacrifice bass and overly emphasizes the highs. As is common with most portable speakers at this point this one is waterproof so you can feel confident using it poolside or at the beach. Battery life has been excellent for me so far so you can definitely take it on the go and not worry about needing to recharge.
Speaking of charging…I know some will likely complain about its use of a micro usb charging port. I’m a bit indifferent but as things are trending towards usb-c it would have been nice if this followed suit so that people could get away from needing so many cables to charge different devices. Not a deal breaker for me but this very well may be a source of irritation for others.
Overall, this is a quality speaker that I think can battle with many others in its size group…and in some cases win!

When it comes to the audio system I opt to use for my tv’s I am a sound bar person solely for the simplicity behind the setup and the adequate audio enhancement over just the built-in tv speakers. As someone that completely understands that you will never get the same quality as you would from a true sound system I don’t expect to be completely blown away. This sound bar however is quite impressive for me. Setup was pretty simple and the sound quality was great on its own. To get the full effect of though you have to buy the subwoofer and rear speakers separately. This may be the only con I can think of so far if you can even call it a con…since every other sound bar I have owned came with a subwoofer which seems pretty standard. It’s not a huge deal but it’s something you may want to keep in mind…especially if you weren’t expecting to pay more to take advantage of the full features such as 360 Spatial Sound Mapping. If you have a compatible Sony Bravia TV (I hooked this up to my Bravia XR X90K) you can enjoy the Acoustic Center Sync. Ultimately, if you’re looking for a hardcore setup this won’t quench your thirst…no sound bar will. But if you are looking for a great upgrade to your tv viewing experience with some nice immersion features without the complex setup or even higher price tag of some of the high end sound bar options you will definitely want to give this a try.

I may have been living under a rock because I had never heard of this brand before. I can admit that I wasn’t expecting to be overly impressed with these headphones but I was wrong. Not only do they sound amazing but they are probably the most comfortable headphones I have ever used. I honestly thought I had found my holy grail noise canceling over the ear headphones long ago but I haven’t given them a second glance since the day that I received these. The sound is crisp and next level so they will satisfy the hardcore audiophile as well as the regular music lover with ease. The noise canceling feature works very well and will fit the needs of most users. They do include a transparency mode that has become pretty standard for most noise canceling headphones now and it too works as expected. The app works but it’s pretty basic. I would love to see future updates that makes the app a better experience and gives the user a bit more control. They are decently lightweight….heavier than some others I have used but not in any significant way. Battery life is on par with others I have used and loved so you won’t have to worry about needing to recharge quickly. Overall these are definitely worth considering if you’re looking for a top tier quality sound in an over the ear design…even with the hefty price tag.

I have several air purifiers but have not been overly impressed by any of them so I wasn’t expecting to be wowed by this one. I was wrong! The first thing that peaked my interest with this one is that it is not only an air purifier but also a fan. While others may appear to slightly cool the air it’s more of an illusion (if the air in your home isn’t already cool it wasn’t cooling the air in any way…just recirculating). This one also being a fan fit a need that I was already looking to satisfy…a fan to help better cool my home while hopefully helping to reduce the strain on my HVAC system during these hot summer months. This unit is definitely bigger than I expected height wise but still manages to have a small footprint. Others have mentioned the futuristic look and I have to agree. It had already caught the attention of visitors with its unique look. Setup was super simple and the LG THINQ App is probably the best one I have used with an air purifier than any of the other brands that I have. It is relatively quiet on every setting although the turbo setting is the noisiest (and it’s honestly not noisy compared to any of the others I own). The filter is easy to remove although you shouldn’t need to change it for about a year. The only small negative I can think of is the weight…while not so heavy that it makes it impossible to move around it’s probably something you won’t want to do often. If you’re looking for a great quality air purifier that is also a fan you will definitely want to put this at the top of your list to try.

If you’re looking for a top of the line pc option with all of the bells and whistles this may not be for you. But if you want a compact clutter-free option that does what the average user will need then you will definitely want to keep this one in mind. Setup was pretty simple and fast…I think I was done in less that 15 minutes. Everything that you need is included. This isn’t a computer that a true gamer will benefit from at all but if you dabble in a little light/basic gaming you will be perfectly fine using this. Video looked great (by video I mean viewing things like YouTube videos or social media which in on par for what families may utilize this for). The speakers have decent sound but nothing to get overly excited about. The touchscreen is quite responsive. While this is my first time using a touchscreen all-in-one desktop style computer I have been impressed by how well it works. I wouldn’t say it’s the best touchscreen experience I have ever had (compared to some tablets I have used) but it’s definitely not bad or lacking in any way that makes it unusable. Ultimately I think this is perfect for students, families, or anyone that just needs a good computer that does what you need it to without a lot of fuss.

LCD"s
I"ve heard that LCD"s after you"ve had them for awhile get "burn" marks on the screen, is this true?
I think the risk existed more in the past (especially on LCD monitors), but I think that it's pretty rare. Plasma's were more prone to it, but I think they are better now. They still run a risk but it's not as easy as it once was.
