much slower than comparable PNY flash drives

I have many flashdrives and found that the PNY drives are considerably faster than any of the others. By quite a bit.
I have found that the SanDisk are about the slowest flash drives.

very disappointing.

I just got this today, internet purchase. After all the great reviews I expected to like this camera. This is a Point and Shoot camera in a plastic casing designed to look like a DSLR. I really wanted a camera to do very close up detailed photos along with some videos that I could change focus areas with. The closest I could get this to focus was 3-4', even using the auto focus and macro as some had suggested as working. There is no control over this other than selecting preset modes. This camera is a plastic finish and has a very toylike quality. The pictures and video are good in good light but when taking pictures that used a bit of the zoom the photos were quite grainy. The video only lasts from 10-29 minutes depending on how hot the camera gets.
I was very disappointed with this camera and will be taking it back. Save yourself the time and just get a point and shoot.

Reliable but really slow and uses 2 USB ports

This did burn a regular dvd without errors But it took 45 minutes. In addition to that it uses 2 USB plugs, one for power and one for data. As it this wasn't enough the cables are about 3 inches, not enough to reach around from one port on my MacBook PRO to the 2nd USB on the other side of my Macbook.

The AudioBox 44VSL is the second model in a new generation of PreSonus USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interfaces that take hardware/software integration to the logical next step.Using your computer CPU and PreSonus Virtual StudioLive (VSL) software, AudioBox VSL-series interfaces provide reverb and delay effects and the same Fat Channel compression, limiting, semi-parametric EQ, and high-pass filter, as the PreSonus StudioLive™ 16.0.2 digital mixer-all with inaudible latency.Furthermore, thanks to the power of VSL, the AudioBox 44VSL includes an 8x4 software mixer. As a result, with just an AudioBox 44VSL and your laptop or other computer running VSL, you can mix a studio session or a live show featuring, say, a guitar duo with vocals, a small band, a DJ rig with mixer and stereo synthesizer, or a panel discussion-all while monitoring and recording with or without real-time effects!

Great sound, hard to configure, latency issues
on January 10, 2015

This is my second PRESONUS and both had issues with latency. I spent hours on the phone with tech support getting this to work with Windows 8. When I finally did get it working the sound was amazing. Crystal clear, no unwanted definition of either high or low sound. The preamps on this are amazingly clear. You do have to turn the volume up a bit (8/10 ) but not a problem for me. First recordings of 1 guitar, 1 vocal was very nice. But, going back to do anything on top of that gave me latency issues and the more I worked with the recording the worse it got. It does have a monitor knob on it that you can choose to hear what you are recording or just the tracks already there. I never got it working properly on the Windows 8 (does anything work properly with Windows 8?).
After a week of pulling my hair out I decided to try it with my 5 year old (dropped) MACBOOK Pro. Install was a breeze and the latency issues were not nearly as noticable.
WHAT I LEARNED ALONG THE WAY
always download/install/update drivers/software before connecting device.
Always use the device on the USB port it was installed on
Failure to do this will cause many problems.
I was able to get it running fairly well on the MAC machine but bot the Windows 8. If I had started with the MAC the latency wouldn't have been as big an issue. It was still lagging a bit but it wasn't nearly as much on the Mac. But, I decided to exchange it for a firewire or thunderbolt interface which promises zero latency, sell the new WINDOWS 8 laptop, and buy a new MAC.

Very disappointing compared to a Roku
on December 27, 2014

Having owned a few Roku boxes thought I'd give this a try because of the image transfer of iOS to tv. It does transfer after a bit of set up but the image is not very good and the screen size is about 1/3 the size of my TV screen. The streaming video freezes up quite a bit though it does utilize the full screen and has very nice screen resolution. But, I'm returning it for another Roku. The Roku does streaming video flawlessly, sets up in seconds. I'm on my third as I keep giving them to friends.

Disappointing

Compatible with...:Mac
I bought this about a year ago while on a trip to put some videos on it while on the trip. You have to have a Decrypter to install video on this hard drive. We watch Netflix alot and while this unit will do that, it freezes up quite often once it gets hot.
It has many updates and after update it copies all the video's on the hard-drive so you have 2-3-4 of each video instead of 1.
I've tried to put jpg and bmp files on it but have never been able to view it on the TV.
I does play back the video on the hard drive well but thats about it.
What's great about it: The potential of what it is supposed to be
What's not so great: doesn't hold up to the hype

With 2GB internal memory and a great new, intuitive design you'll be able to easily capture all the audio you want. And with built-in USB connectivity, MP3 & WMA recording, the new Scene Select Function and the large LCD with font size setting it's easy to record and store high-quality audio with ease.

Low playback volume

This recorder works well and did a good job with class lectures.
The sound recorded nice and clear the problem I had was with the low play back volume, not as much volume as speaker phone with iphone. The file transferred onto computer really easy, drop and drag but the sound volume was quite low even on computer.
I had to use my earbuds for iphone to listen to the lecture without holding it up to my ear.
What's great about it: amazing clarity
What's not so great: very low sound output

What is the best divice to tranfear antilog to digital?

it depends on the quality of sound you are wanting. Your computer has a 1/8 audio input that will do the trick. If you want a better sound you will need an audio interface, FOCUSRITE, PRESONUS, ETC...
once you get this on your computer you will need software to do anything with it. For audio most PC's/Macs have basic software. Video you will need something like Pinnacle Studio or iMovie.
You can also get an audio/video capture box set like Pinnacle. These are incredibly finnicky to use.

how much is it to get my guitar's action lowered?

I would take your guitar to a local MUSIC store. I pay $35-$45 to have the action adjusted on my guitars.

is there anything you can record with off of the tv or radio

Most premium channels on the TV are encoded with a copy protection. You can get a TV "enhancer" that may or may not work. I used a GoDVD by SIMA several years ago that worked. BUT, it only has RCA/Svideo hookups. It was easy enough to use and did the trick but the video that we have today has much better resolution than you can get with this. With either radio or TV for sound only you can plug RCA OUT jacks (in the back), into the input of any copier (DVD, CD, Cassette, VCR recorder) You can buy adapters for any of these.
You can also get an audio interface for sound recordings. But, with all the COPYWRITE laws and protection it's easier, cheaper to just buy what you want to see or hear.
The older VCR's bypass the COPYWRITE encoding. I think the VCR machines around 2000 or earlier do not have the encoded COPYWRITE protection on them. You will need to search for a copy machine that doesn't have the copywrite encoder on it.

Roku Streaming Stick: Get a hub of entertainment in one convenient, compact device. Access more than 2,000 channels and cast from Netflix, YouTube and personal media directly from your smartphone or tablet to your TV.

Which service is better Amazon or Netflix?

I have both and tend to watch Netflix more. Netflix seems to have a larger movie selection while Amazon seems to have the newer TV series. One thing I really don't like with Amazon is that they will always try to show you the "pay per view" videos even after selecting "prime video only".
I enjoy Amazon because of the free shipping as I do most of my shopping there. They both have high resolution videos and both services are nice to have. Amazon will have the newer videos and quite a bit of them aren't included with the "prime membership" with rental fees of $5.99 and up.
Our household watches more from Netflix but we do enjoy having both. I think both offer benefits that are quite similar. I enjoy trying out TV series that I may not have watched on regular TV. Neither Netflix nor Amazon have advertisements, unlike Hulu. Hulu has the TV series within a day of original airing but I canceled my Hulu subscription because the advertisements were as bad as watching regular, aired, TV.
I really like both Netflix and Amazon Prime. Don't think you would regret either one.
We use ROKU for our streaming video. Love the Roku. Very simple to install and use. It always works flawlessly.
