I defected from Jaybird. It's nicer over here.

I purchased the Jaybird X2 headset because I was told it is the pinnacle of wireless fitness headsets. I convinced myself that I liked them because of the high price tag, but deep down I constantly had a gripe with them. Whether it was the uncomfortable fit in my ear, or the wire that would constantly tangle up, or even the one month lifespan of their innovative foam ear buds. After 9 weeks, they stopped working properly because they were defective.
So I gave the other alternative a try. I went ahead and bought the Plantronics Backbeat Fit headset without any real research besides a quick scan of the reviews. So far, I am impressed with this headset. Everything that it's competitor (Jaybird) does, this headset does it better. That being said, it does have it's share of flaws, but they're actually tolerable and I don't have to convince myself that I don't mind them like I did with the X2.
One of the best things about this headset is the design that does not get tangled, and rests so lightly that you don't notice them. The design does not ever tangle, does not ever twist up, does not obnoxiously tap against you while running (still does but its the best from any headphones I've used so far), and it doesn't shift out of place when you're on the bench press. I found myself constantly having the adjust the wire on the X2 because it would start pulling more to one side than the other, you will never experience that with this headset due the "cordless" design. The audio quality is good and the best I've heard from a wireless fitness headset, but obviously lacking compared to over-ear headphones. The really cool thing is that there are three (I believe) different sound settings, which can really enhance the bass and overall sound quality so it far surpasses the X2. After a few phone conversations, others have told me that the clarity of the microphone is better since I have changed headsets. Another excellent feature that most headsets are lacking, you can press a button to check the battery life at any moment, and it even gives you an estimated amount of time left on the battery. And the battery life is excellent, especially compared to the X2. It sometimes feels like I can get almost two weeks of gym time without charging, when the X2 would give me about one week.
That being said, the headphones have a couple flaws. The buttons feel like they are oddly shaped and designed. Sometimes it is hard to tell if I actually pushed the center button on either side because it lacks a "click" feeling. I think the lack of a click feeling also causes the button to be accidentally pressed when adjusting the earbuds. The smaller "button" has a little groove so you can find it, but those buttons just feel tiny, and I don't have massive fingers/hands. I personally don't see why these types of headsets don't just have all of the buttons for all features, such as designated buttons for skipping tracks and adjusting volume (similar problem to the X2). That is my biggest gripe with the headset: press the center button to pause, double tap the center button to skip track, hold the center button to go back a track, on a button that is already hard to figure out if you're activating it. Why not just make three small buttons? Same goes for volume. The earbuds also fit kind of loosely in your ears, so you have to put the volume on close to max to filter out the background noise of the 40 year old jacked dude screaming on every rep.
All in all, from my experience with several other headsets including highly acclaimed Jaybird X2, this is the best headset on the market for fitness. However, I would purchase this headset with the sole intent of using it at the gym or for other fitness activities. If you're looking for a headset to use without fitness in mind, there are other better options.

I don't know how I feel. Lots of pros and cons.

I knew nothing about this headset before buying it besides that it is one of the most recommended headsets online, and I got sick of purchasing a new LG HBS headset every 6-9 months because it would break or wear out after heavy use in the gym.
To start with some of the pros: Its a very sleek low-profile design, its literally one wire with two ear buds at the ends. Surprisingly, no matter how weird and loose the headphones feel, they are extremely secure during all activities including running. They are very comfortable in the sense that it doesn't even feel like you have a headset on. I have gone from laying down and sitting up while doing crunches and getting on and off the bench, and it feels totally weightless. The audio quality is without a doubt the best quality audio I have ever heard from ear buds. Surprisingly the microphone works great as well.
Now for the cons: The headset only has three buttons (start/stop, volume up and volume down), so it is missing some buttons that my LG headset had such as answer call and skip track. That got very inconvenient fast. The earbuds feel really bulky and somewhat uncomfortable in your ears, I don't know if its the size or the overall fit, but it takes a lot of getting used to. Once the ear buds are in, you're fine, but getting them in and out is actually quite painful. Sometimes the cord does that annoying twisted up thing that most cords do, which requires some straightening out and some patience.
All in all, I paid $75 for them and I am content with my purchase. Not super thrilled, but they're good enough. For active purposes, its a great headset. If you're looking for a headset for casual talking, I'd say look elsewhere. For the $150 price tag, it does seem a bit high.

I purchased this headset because I got sick of the Microsoft headsets dying after 3-6 months every time. I didn't want a two ear headset, so I thought this was a safe buy given that it's made by a reputable brand. Immediately when you put it on, you'll notice how stiff the ear cups are. They're extremely uncomfortable because there is no padding, it's like a hard foam material wrapped in fabric. The plastic part that goes over your head is pretty tight as well. The 3.5mm cable that goes into the controller sits kind of loosely, I would imagine it can break easily if you mistakenly push on it. Overall, it's incredibly uncomfortable and the quality of it is so-so. But it gets the job done. I'll be surprised if this lasts longer than a year though, seems pretty poorly put together. If the constant breaking of the Microsoft headsets weren't an issue, I'd buy those at the same price than this.

Overall the aesthetic product design is nice. It is a sharp look for home or for the office. However, in terms of function, it is not necessarily the best designed product. The first problem is that it isn't designed to work with some cases. I have a Supcase Unicorn Beetle, which is a relatively thin case, and the "fast charging" isn't very fast at all. It gives me a reasonable estimated time of completion, but when I noticed it rose maybe 15% in one hour, I realized that charging from about 15% to 100% was not going to take the 1.5 hours that it estimated. The other issue is regarding how the phone lays on the stand. While it looks nice, the base that supports your phone up is actually a little thin, and I can see my phone slipping off of the stand several times in the future. Overall, I am not really satisfied with it. I'll probably end up returning it.

Painful installation, terrible quality

I have always purchased those cheap screen protectors from eBay my entire life, and I decided to give this expensive one a shot this time. This is absolutely the worst quality screen protector I've dealt with to date. For starters, the installation is a huge pain, everything from spraying the application solution all over (bottle was broken and leaking upon opening, mind you), to trying to slide this little rubber piece into place. Not only that, but almost a week later, the quality of this is horrible because it completely takes away from the beautiful LCD display by making this grainy rainbow distortion across the entire screen. One thing that is good about the product is that there is a lifetime product warranty, which is nice. Additionally, it does seem to stop scratches because of the thick rubber texture. That being said, its the most irritating feeling you can imagine on your fingers, and its an absolute finger-print magnet. Terrible product, don't waste all of your money on this.

Good price, but Microsoft is better.

I didn't want to get this because I just associated MadCatz with bad quality and uncomfortable, but for $10 I took my chances. The controller itself feels pretty good, very similar to the regular 360 controller, and it really doesn't feel TOO different. The d-pad is the only part of the controller that was poorly designed, because the springs are very soft, so if you press up, you might get right or left sometimes. The biggest problem I had with the controller are the triggers, which are designed for FPS games because the pressure sensitivity is nearly nonexistant. Say with a racing game, getting 25%-75% throttle is very difficult, because pressing it one tiny bit too much jumps from 20% throttle to full blast. But the controller looks slick, the red lit sticks are nice, and for $10, I am satisfied with my purchase. Definitely lacking the quality that Microsoft controllers have, but its not terrible.
What's great about it: The price, the design, the cable
What's not so great: The d-pad, the triggers are only good for shooters

I see this comes with a vehicle charger. Does it come with a regular charger as well?

Yes it does. They're pretty basic though, its literally a cheap little micro-USB charger and one of those one-size-fits-all car chargers they have near the registers at CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. They do the trick though.
