This indoor TV antenna receives local HD and digital TV broadcasts and supports VHF and UHF frequencies. The flat design complements home theater systems.
I tried 6 antennas from the same location in a home about 10 miles from our HDTV broadcast antennas. Two channels were VHF and the rest were UHF all coming from the same relative direction. I had high hopes to find something that would beat the rabbit ears - but none did.
If you want the best reception, use rabbit ears. If you want the best looks and can give up receiving some of the channels, try something like this.
What's great about it: Slim and looks good
What's not so great: Doesn't do as well as rabbit ears
Insignia™ NS-19E310A13 LED HDTV: This small but capable Insignia HDTV comes with 720p resolution and LED backlighting for a crisp, high-definition picture. It is a good addition to a small bedroom or dorm room.
Very nice for the price. The HD tuner / reception is a bit weaker as compared to my other HDTVs given the same setup. It will tune all of the same channels - it just requires a stronger signal which can be obtained by tweaking the external antenna slightly.
My Best Buy number: 2187859440
What's great about it: Compact size, nice picture
What's not so great: HD Reception slightly weak compared to other HDTVs
Samsung UN32EH5000FXZA LED HDTV: This Samsung LED HDTV boasts a 1080p resolution and cost-efficient brightness controls for energy conservation. The Wide Color Enhancer Plus and Clear Motion Rate 120 help ensure sharp visuals.
While I suggested a 50" HDTV for her space, Grandma wanted smaller so we settled on this. She really likes the picture though we had to tweak the picture using custom settings to get it to look the best for her. The controls and menus are easy for her to work with. The HD reception is better than an HD VCR we have next to it - the TV picks up a few more channels. I'm used to a plasma and thought I saw motion artifacts on this while watching NFL football. This may have been due to the TV cameras rather than the TV itself but I thought I'd point it out.
My Best Buy number: 2187859440
What's great about it: Easy for a grandma to run remote
What's not so great: Some motion artifacts - could be due to TV cameras and not TV itself

Beware - Does not work properly in many areas

As of November 2011 with Garmin Software Version 3.0, the GTM 60 does not work in many areas of the country. As best as I can tell, the GPS units compatible with this device scan all available HD Traffic sources and pick the last signal scanned rather than the strongest signal scanned. If you live in an area of the country where this happens (like the Mpls / St. Paul area), your device will not work properly.
Garmin will not disclose when a fix will be made nor a timeline for a fix. If you do purchase a GTM-60, please check forums or with your local Best Buy store to make sure the GTM60 works properly in your metropolitan area.
My rating is based on that the GTM 60 does not work properly in many areas due to the GPS receiver software. The GTM 60 itself does provide the proper signal to the GPS and works fine which does not do any good in some areas of the country.
What's great about it: The potential for Live HD Traffic Updates
What's not so great: It does not work in many metro areas

Traffic with GTM60 - High Def Traffic Doesn't Work

I'll skip everything else about this GPS as you can find it elsewhere.
If you are looking to mate the 2595LMT with the optional GTM-60 for faster traffic updates you are out of luck as of November 2011. Garmin issued a patch version 3.50 which did not fix the problem. In some areas of the country, the 2595LMT will choose the weakest signal accidentally (it chooses the last station scanned rather than selecting the strongest signal). If you are in one of these areas, there is no way to get this to work properly. Garmin techncial support stated they are working on the issue but will not give any estimated completion date on a fix.
For many things, I'm happy with the unit. I like the large screen which is the reason I chose it over their most expensive navigators as I knew it was compatible with the GTM 60 traffic. As it turns out, it doesn't matter which 2012 series you chose to use with the GTM60 - if you're in certain areas - it will not work properly. I am located in the Mpls / St. Paul area and there are many others with the same problem.
My overall rating is average to poor due to my frustrations with these products being released prior to having been thorougly tested. It's like owning a beta product for now.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: HD Traffic is not compatible as marketed by Garmin
