Not much ink

I installed this cartridge, did the test page print, black had some lines so I ran a clean cycle, then did another test print.. already down to 80% ink levels off 2 pages and a clean cycle.. I dont see how 275 pages is a realistic estimate on Kodak's end.

In no time this cartridge will start having lines in your prints.. I feel that this cartridge has half the ink of most other printers I have owned in the past. Yes the price is low.. but it looks like an advertising game to me to entice people away from Kodak's low ink pricing.

When comparing this cartridge to other "XL" cartridges it doesnt have much ink. Most XLs from HP in the past held 3x the ink for 2x the price, however this one is 2x the ink and just under 2x the price. It isnt much for value. Also, it seems their definition of "XL" is comparable to Kodak and Canons regular sizes - probably an attempt to compete price wise with $10 and $15 kodak prices and canons larger amount of ink.
What's great about it: XL
What's not so great: Price

I have built probably 7-8 of my own computers now and I have to say this is the best case I have every worked with.
1. Its black inside.. no ugly metal showing - this makes it much neater inside. See pics I attached.. image how ugly a plain metal backdrop would be that most cases have.
2. Cable management is so easy with this case.. its easy to route what I need behind and out of sight.
3. For the price, I was very surprised at how well the sides fit on and come off... some of them are such a pain to line up (my antec 900 for example can be quite a pain).
My only "complaint" is that only 1 fan is included, but I found a 4 pack of 120mm fans for $13 shipped on a "egg" site.. For this price 1 fan is fine, Im still saving a lot over some other cases out there.
What's great about it: Airflow, price, strength, looks, design
What's not so great: Only 1 fan included

I originally bought one pack, but after installing them with great results I ordered a second set... why not max it out for this price?? So, both packs passed memtest (my experience with memory is that a lot is defective right from the start). Enjoying my 16GB! Bios recognized it properly and set it to the correct speed/timings automatically.

So this particular processor went into an old DVD player that was gutted and had a home theater pc (HTPC) put in. Before this processor I was running an Atom Dual core and it couldnt keep up with much for HD video - forget about streaming HD video from sites like Hulu/youtube/Boxee/Netflix.
Now, with this i7 quadcore in place the HTPC handles EVERYTHING like a god.
i7-2700K - stock clock to keep the temps low.
ASRock H67M-ITX/HT LGA 1155 Intel H67 Motherboard
8GB Ripsaw DDR3 @ 1333mhz
80Gb Intel SSD
SeaSonic SS-300TFX Bronze 300W PSU
2TB Seagate Network Attached Storage for movies which stream over wifi (works great with Linksys E4200 Router)
Remote sensor built in
Bluetooth wireless trackpad/keyboard
"Unified Remote" through phone/wifi control.
Xbox 360 controller to play games on steam.
See the pic attached of how small and crammed with parts this case is.. this thing at stock clocks with a stress test going stays FAR cooler than the dual core atom did. It reaches 55C max, 35ish Idle. I was afraid I would have to underclock this to keep it cool, but considering nothing I throw at it uses more than 40% cpu,I kept it stock. It stays around 35C with the 2 exhaust fans on low - they jump up when the temp hits 56C, which I have heard happen only once while gaming.
What's great about it: easy install, powerful
What's not so great: price, integrated GPU is pretty bad, but usable
I would recommend this to a friend!

Smooth strong bass, this sub is a LOT bigger than I thought from pictures. I have it paired with Polk TSI200's and a CS10 center with klipsch promedia ultras in the rear, and the sub will overpower them easily (I keep it turned down to match). The great thing about this sub is how it can take a speaker input so you can have a sub with older receivers without a sub out. I do not like how the finish is different than the TSI200 and CS10 - it looks cheaper. This thing can really fill the void from bookshelf and todays towers that usually only have 6-7" woofers.
What's great about it: power and sound quality
What's not so great: size

BOOM

I have this subwoofer currently with Polk TSI200's, a CS10 (i think) center and soon to have T15's for the rear.
What I like most about this subwoofer is how it can literally be hooked to ANY system - be it home theater, a bookshelf stereo, or added to a computer speaker setup with a headphone splitter.
This thing has a line in input (easy to work with if you have a RCA to 3.5mm" cable), it also has something I had not seen before.. a speaker in speaker out for left and right channel. If you have an ancient classic receiver you can still have a sub in the mix by routing your speakers through the heavy gauge speaker inputs. See attached photo if needed*
Sound: It has boom, it is smooth, I havent heard it strain even listening to Dubstep or HipHop music. For movies it can provide a great thunder effect and has a good boom in movies. The cross over knob on the back and volume knob is awesome too for receivers with limited adjustment options.
This thing is HUGE, everyone who I have shown so far has been amazing at how large it is.. it would make a great ottoman if it had a pillow top. Make sure you have room for it before buying.
It has auto on, so it doesnt waste much power when not in use by detecting when a signal is present and active.
Overall, it blends very well with the TSI200's and is capable of overpowering them if turned up high.
What's great about it: Price, power, features, sound
What's not so great: HUGE,

The 2011 Subaru WRX does 0-60 in 4.7seconds. The STI is a tag slow due to gear ratios, but has a faster 0-100. In this game its aggrivating to see such a fast car go so slow.. like the game is in slow-motion. I counted a 0-60 of over 7 seconds, which makes everything feel so slow.. the car drags at 80+mph gaining unrealistically slow speed.

It really isnt quite there yet.
By Gibhunter from Maine
I have a new Galaxy S6 and watched tons of reviews on youtube before buying this but it didnt quite seem to stand up to the hype out there. My first impression when putting it on was "wow so that is the screen door effect everyone talks about". Yes, it is very noticeable, it is a gray screen like pattern that doesn't move when you move your head and it dulls the colors. I never really noticed it on my google cardboard using a GS5 - maybe it is the lens? My second thought after putting it on was. "wow, this moves so much smoother than my google cardboard". The sensors are much better in this device.
Initial setup is done by plugging your phone in and it will download the oculus store. The initial app setup failed on mine - I left it for 20 minutes and it was stuck on installing one of the experiences. After force closing it and trying again it went. The Oculus store selection isnt great right now and apps/experiences/games can get very pricey and most have 3 star reviews but there are some good ones out there. About 7 minutes in on actually using the device my S6 was overheating and a message popped up saying it needed to cool down. I saw this a lot on youtube videos but figured it was because they were recording the screen while using it. Later in the day it took 40 minutes to overheat - Watching videos in oculus theatre is less intensive than an app where you are constantly moving your head around. I've noticed in comparison to my google cardboard that I have felt 0 motion sickness using this product while ~10 minutes of google cardboard is enough. I am also having a hard time fining the navigation buttons on the side when I need to. I have ordered a game pad to solve that issue. I had Sony bluetooth headphones paired only to find out they dont work in the VR world - sound is choppy or delayed - look it up if you don't believe me.
In the VR world one thing that was a let down is that objects that are far away really arent crisp or in focus. In the real world I can look up at a tree and see leaves/pine needles. I haven't seen any experiences where distant objects look real because of this. I think maybe it is equipment limitations? In a perfect world, the inside of the device would have retina trackers and software to focus the screen based on where you are looking... but that would be resource intensive. The Oculus theater though gives you that weird feeling when you look around the room and dont see anyone, and you look down at your arm rest and your arm isnt there. Pretty cool!
The device being wide hasnt been an issue for me, but my wife has quite a gap letting light in.. it didnt seem to bother her much though. I do unfortunately see the edges of the phone screen as cut off in my peripheral vision.. I wonder if the larger galaxy devices wouldnt have this issue.
Yes it is better than a $5 google cardboard - but if you have used a google cardboard you arent going to put this on and compare it to the first time you saw N64 graphics that people keep saying. I'm not sure it even justifies the high cost of this device retailing at $100.
If you think you'll be able to show this device to several friends who want to see it.. be prepared for disappointment when it overheats on the second person.
Another disappointment related to this device is that the apps/experiences are HUGE.. 700mb for <5 minute videos. Meanwhile Samsung removes the SD card slot on their flagship products. Where was the thought process there? They say SD cards are outdated and the cloud is the future... well... not if the future is GearVR. It is a shame samsung went backwards in making the galaxy S6 because making it a little thicker like the galaxy S5 to allow SD cards or improve on cooling/battery would have been a step in the right direction.
In Summary:
The good:
- More sensitive than google cardboard
-No Motion sickness
- Fits over my fairly wide glasses well - and focuses with my -8.5 Rx glasses
- There are some pretty awesome experiences available
The Bad:
-Overheats GS6 phone in minutes!
-Drains battery from 100-46% in 40 minutes (brightness on second to lowest)
-Expensive for what it is.
-Screen door effect which dulls colors.
-Edges cut off in peripheral vision with GS6
-No motion tracking - if you move your head closer it doesnt move in the VR world.
-Supported controllers are outrageously expensive, and should be included.
-App store is sparse, expensive, and you don't get to see many details before buying.
Final Thoughts:
Had I seen the list of issues above I might have skipped on buying this. I would really point people interested in this to a google cardboard with a head strap because it really gives you that new experience for a good price. Know the limitations and dont expect a huge amount more than smoother head motion and comfort with this product over the cardboard. I have been wanting an oculus rift for several years now, and followed it closely in the news, but after seeing the screen door effect so strong on such a high resolution display Im going to move more cautiously.

"Samsung Gear VR ( Reg price $200), Google cardboard (Reg price $5 ), how can you compare these two headset ?"
Samsung GearVR regular price is $100. You are talking the innovator version. How can I compare them? Well.. because they are essentially the same thing. Many of the gearVR experiences run on google cardboard. Plus you must not have understood what I was getting at because your statement doesn't make sense.
If you read it.. I was comparing the Google Cardboard to the GearVR and saying its is not really worth a $95 price difference - this is not a case of comparing a $100 and $5 item where the expensive item would obviously blow away the cheap one - in this case its nearly a wash.
Anyway, after a few more days with the device the over-heating issue is really ruining the experience. Its often only 10 minutes I get at a time before it needs to cool down and drops framerate - often during a video/game/experience. This is in a 70F room with a ceiling fan on with low humidity.
This is NOT a consumer device. A consumer device would have this issue resolved.
My fear is that Samsung will suddenly drop support for the S6 as soon as the S7 comes out instead of offering a solution. I'm looking into heatsink or fan options currently. Samsung could have made that plastic cover that covers the phone, which I dont use, into a heatsink instead of a heat trap .

Yes, 3 out of 5 stars is 90% due to it overheating. Ive now had it over a week and every single time I use it, it as overheated. Just now it took a whopping 6 minutes in game. It needs a fan or heatsink.

I have had my WD My Cloud (4GB) for a week now. It was very easy to setup and start using. You can download the Smartware for backing up your computers and upgrade to Pro for free. I have backed up both my desktop and laptop on it. There are apps for using it on your laptop and cell phone etc. I have downloaded both User Manuals for the My Cloud and the Smartware. I did upgrade the Ethernet cable from the CAT5 that came with it to a Belkin Premium Flat High-Speed CAT6 cable. It has worked fine when I use my cell phone to view my content. You can email files, pictures and video for family and friends to view.

Just so others are aware - the cat5 cable this comes with is capable of 1 gigabit/sec transfer rate which is the max speed of the port on the hard drive. There will be no benefit to switching it out for a cat6 cable. The included cable is far too short to cause any sort of slowdown.

Factory refurbished

What is meant by factory refurbished
This can mean a few different things.. It could have been a returned unit from a retail store meaning it was less than 30 days old and the customer just did not want the unit. In this case it is often reset, data erased and re packaged for sale. Other times it could have been a simple defect in the product such as bad/corrupt software installed in which case the unit is updated and re packaged, or it could be a unit sold which was defective within the manuf. warranty period. These units are sent back to the manuf. where if fixable they get parts replaced, usually new batteries and plastic housing repacked and sold. Any of these units could have minor scuffs, but the price usually makes up for this. These units often carry the same warranty as a new unit - so check the page so you know ahead of time!

I have a printer that is not wireless, is there any adapter to make it wireless?

You will need either a wireless printer USB hub that will work with any router, or to find a router with a USB port meant to communicate with a printer. Then you can print wireless without buying a new printer. It is much easier to find a router capable of this than that attachment listed above, and it will likely work smoother using one thing to do it all rather than troubleshoot 2 things if it doesnt work.

Is the Gateway DX4831-01e have dual channel memory?

This computer has 6GB and does support dual channel memory, they usually do this by using all 4 memory slots - 2@2GB and 2@1GB so it can run in dual channel. The i7 processors run in triple channel - these would have 2x3GB memory chips.

Why does my desktop background not stay set after I turn laptop off and back on?

You likely have a virus causing this issue. You should either take it into geeksquad and let them do a free scan on the counter or try a program like malware-bytes antimalware to scan it at home.

Which cd to burn

What blank cd's can I use to burn for my eMachine computer? thanks
Hi, It would be best to re-ask your question with the eMachine model number included. eMachines has been making desktops and laptops for many years, and older ones did not have CD or DVD burners. If it says CR-R Rewritable on the CD drive it is able to burn CDs, you cna use ANY brand CR-R you want. I use windows media player to burn audio CDs for my car.

What webcam is compatible with windows 7????

Any one currently on sale and most sold in the last 2 years are compatible with windows 7. It will likely be plug n play - just make sure the computer is online when you plug it in and windows update will find and install drivers and software for windows 7.

i have a vaio sony, should I purchase a product key and/or a microsoft office trial? help!!!

You want a home student office key. Not a trial key. Your laptop likely comes with a trial, and every time you open it, it asks for a key. You can enter the ful version key into the trial and it will convert it to the full version. It normally runs $150 for this program, but often goes on sale. ALso, it is good for 3 computers.

WINDOWS 2000 SERVER
Yes, however you cannot use the new "Homegroup" capability of windows 7, it will be more basic like you would be used to on windows 2K server.
