Average To Above Average Trimmer

I wasn't overly in love with this trimmer, but that said, I didn't dislike it either. It's just a pretty average to above average trimmer in my book. The ability to use it in the shower is a plus. It comes with several attachments which serve different purposes and a nice shaving pouch to store it all. It seems to charge quickly and the charge seems to last a good long while.

Still a Lot of Work to Make Movies

You can make movie slideshows from your photos with this software and include transitional effects, soundtracks, titles and more. The process is still time consuming even for basic movies and to make things look really good, there is a lot of time and effort involved. If you have the time and the aptitude, you can make nice looking movie slideshows from your photos and video clips. Overall, I think this software is just average.

Super Fast and Capable Router

The Linksys WRT 3200ACM router offers two bands (5GHz and 2.4 GHz) of wi-fi and high speed data processing to handle all of your internet networking needs. It has four ethernet ports for wired connections in your network. It has four adjustable antennas for a strong wi-fi signal. It also has a mobile app to help manage (if so desired) your network, but really it does the work all by itself without using the app. I couldn't be happier with this router's performance throughout my 2000 sq. ft. home. I would recommend it for sure.

Mostly Good But Not Perfect

If you are a fan of Google's (not Android in general) utilitarian style, then you will love this phone. I prefer a little more dressing on my phone however.
The look of the phone is a bit boxy with no curved glass. It has a big white bezel that has no function on the bottom of the phone. There is no actual home button or touch features on the bezel, so it seems to be a bit of wasted space. On the other hand, it makes it easier to pick up the phone without accidentally hitting buttons.
The fingerprint sensor works well, but it is on the back of the phone which takes a little getting used to and means you have to pick up the phone to use the fingerprint to unlock it.
The screen looks beautiful with rich colors and sharp images. One odd thing I noticed is that when viewing pictures, it doesn't seem like it zooms in as close as other phones I've had. It pretty much stops zooming before the image starts to look degraded. Not a big deal I guess.
The camera takes some stunning pictures, especially portraits. It has a lens blur feature that automatically blurs the background and makes the subject of the photo stand out better than any phone camera I've used. I love that feature. It also has a Photo Sphere feature that lets you take a series of pictures to create a 360 degree image. It's the next best thing to having a 360 degree camera. If you like to manually adjust settings to shoot like a pro, you're out of luck though. This camera is made for those that like to just point and shoot and get a really good picture without the work.
The user interface is all Google. It's very sparse. I couldn't even figure out how to rearrange apps or create app folders except for on the home page. I prefer to have a clean home page with apps neatly arranged on an app page. That doesn't seem possible here, or if it is, it is not intuitive.
There is no expandable storage for this phone, which means you can run out of room fast. You do get unlimited storage of pictures in the cloud, but who knows when/if you will have to start paying for that service.
The battery life seems to be excellent and it really does charge up to 70% very quickly.
Overall, I'd say this is a well made phone. If you like bells and whistles, you might want something different. If you like stripped down, no nonsense features that work well then you'll like this phone.

Fast Top End Router

Having a good router gets more important everyday. So many things are connected to the internet these days that one needs a good router to keep everything going without lag, all at the same time. This router will do the trick.
The performance of your devices is based on internet speed and router throughput. I'd say that the Linksys WRT 3200ACM Mu-MIMO gigabit wifi router is one of the best routers out there right now as far as giving great throughput.
About the only downside I found to this router is that it only has four ethernet ports on the back, but that's a pretty common number for routers. Set up was easy and it has a user friendly mobile app and online wi-fi management to keep all of your devices running efficiently. You can also prioritize certain devices if you want and limit internet access on a device level to a certain amount of time per day if desired.
Overall this is a top notch router for dealing with today's internet.

Thoughtful Design and Excellent Suction

The Rocket Complete Upright Vacuum with DuoClean is a cleverly designed vacuum that really gets the job done on both carpets and hard flooring.
The design is interesting because the debris collection chamber is at the top, behind the handle. This is important when using some of the accessories that come with the vacuum. More on those later. The whole thing is really lightweight, however most of the weight is positioned at the top of the vacuum cleaner. This can make your arm tired in a short amount of time if you don't use the vacuum within your power zone. It also makes it such that the vacuum doesn't stand up on its own. This is not really a big deal, as it does store easily when not in use simply by popping off the top piece and placing it onto a built-in hook on the bottom piece. This makes the vacuum smaller to fit into tighter storage spaces and perfectly balances the vacuum as well. There is also a wall storage hook that comes with this vacuum if you would like to hang the vacuum on the wall instead.
The vacuum is so easy to push, even on very thick carpeting. It's like pushing a self-propelled lawn mower; you just stand behind it and it goes forward by itself. It has a low profile, so it goes under couches and chairs really well. It also can turn on a dime. It features two rollers which really grab the dirt and debris off of the carpet or hard flooring and directs it straight into the vacuum. It did a really good job of cleaning the floors in a house with three dogs and two kids. One problem I've had with other vacuums that I did not have with this one is that on hard floors, the motor fan would blow the debris out of the way of the vacuum before the vacuum could suck it up. With the Rocket Complete Upright Vacuum with DuoClean, this is not the case; it picks up as well as a broom on hard flooring, with way less effort.
Another feature that I love with the Rocket Complete Upright Vacuum with DuoClean is the collection chamber. It is so easy to empty (no bags) and unlike other vacuums, it doesn't leave a dust plume in the air when you empty it. This may be my favorite feature in a vacuum with many great features.
Another awesome feature is how the vacuum comes in three pieces that all use the same connection type. This is important because you can assemble the vacuum in different ways depending on the surface you are cleaning. An example: stairs. You can remove the handle (which contains the collection chamber) from the rest of the vacuum and attach the stair cleaning accessory (included) to clean the stairs without having to lug around a heavy machine or a long handle. So easy. There are I think four or five different attachments that all serve their purpose.

Great New Way to Record Video in the Round

I had the opportunity to test out the Samsung Gear 360 camera before its release and have come away impressed by its function and cool factor.
Weighing in at 7.3 ounces (with tripod attached), the Samsung Gear 360 packs a lot of function into a small space. There is a camera on the front and back. The top has a tiny led screen and record button. One side houses the rechargeable battery, usb port, and micro sd card. The other side contains the Menu and Back multifunction buttons. No space is wasted. Because of this however, it can make it difficult to handle the Gear 360 without either fingerprinting up the lenses or accidentally pushing a button.
The Samsung Gear 360 looks kind of like an old-school webcam but with two camera lenses instead of one. It also looks kind of like an eyeball or half of BB-8. It comes with a small tripod that is just over two inches long. When closed, the tripod makes for a good handle to use for video recording. The tripod connects to the Gear 360 by a traditional screw-in format. This means that you can use the Gear 360 with lots of different camera mounts.
Camera mounts can be an issue with this camera however. Most action cam mounts on the market today are chest mounts or mount to the bill of a baseball cap. With these kind of mounts, only the front camera will be useful on the Gear 360 because the rear camera will be pointed towards the chest or hat. Helmet mounts are the best option for this camera but unless you are doing something that requires a helmet, who wants to go around wearing one? Selfie sticks are the next best mount for this camera, but sometimes they are not permitted (like in some theme parks).
The Samsung Gear 360 features two F2.0 lenses that each shoot 180 degrees. The Gear 360 shoots 3840x1920 high resolution videos and 30 MP photos. Perhaps because of the fisheye lenses or maybe the stitching involved, I find that video shot on the Galaxy Note 7 looks sharper than that shot on the Gear 360. The trade off is in the 360 degree immersion you get from the Gear 360. Watching your videos on the cell phone or computer is pretty cool and it is easy and intuitive to maneuver around the picture. Watching on a Samsung Gear VR is even cooler and really helps to relive the moments captured.
The Gear 360 seems like a great fit for certain uses: recording landscape panoramas, commercial promotional videos (i.e. real estate virtual tours, stadium seat locations, tourism, etc.), vlogs and action recordings. For everyday stuff, it may be more hassle than it's worth though. For one thing, you really have to think about your surroundings because it captures it all (unless you use only one of the cameras). Some quick examples: you can't clean a little space of your house to record because we'll see all your dirty laundry you shoved into the corner. Camera shy friends? Suddenly they're part of the show. Beautiful landscape on one side, dumpsters and port-a-potties on the other...you get the idea. Planning is involved with this camera.
Video recording and photos can be accomplished via the camera itself or through your compatible Samsung phone via Bluetooth. Samsung also provides free editing software to do basic editing of your videos, such as adding music, cutting, transitions, effects, etc. Video files can be large, so make sure you have a big memory card. Videos can be sent directly to facebook and other platforms straight from the Gear 360. Transferring files from the Gear 360 to your phone and/or computer can be time consuming, but is easily done. The camera uses a 1350 mAh battery that can get used up fairly quickly. Recharging is also a time consuming process.
Overall, for a first iteration of a product, Samsung did a really good job. I'm sure each version will be improved but this initial version is good enough that you don't need to hold out for a future version.

Beautiful, Lightweight & Powerful

The HP Spectre 13.3 Laptop is amazing. It looks like a work of art. You will stand out in a crowd when you are using this laptop out in public. The matte black exterior with shiny gold accents makes this laptop look like a premium item. Thankfully, it IS a premium item. With Windows 10, a 6th gen Pentium i7 processor, 8GM memory, solid state drive and Bang and Olufsen stero speakers, this laptop is quick, powerful and has premium sound. It has three of the new kind of standard universal power/USB port (I forget what it's called) and comes with one USB adapter to fit the port. There is a headphone port as well. It also came with a leather carrying case which looks sleek as well. This is by far the best laptop I've ever had. The one negative about it is that it isn't a touchscreen. If that doesn't matter to you, then this laptop is the way to go.

Boosts My Wi-fi Signal on the Other Side of House

I plugged the Linksys MaxStream RE7000-AC1900 Wall Plug In Range Extender into an outlet on the opposite side of my house from where my router is located. This side of the house is where my main tv is located. I stream most shows and movies there, so the faster the wi-fi, the better the experience, and it does seem to be an improved experience after installing the Range Extender. The setup was really easy; anyone can do it and it only takes a couple minutes.

LOVE This Quiet Bosch Dishwasher

When I had my refrigerator installed, the installation guy told me that if I get a new dishwasher, I should get a Bosch. He said that they are the best quality dishwasher brand and I have to agree. After much research I decided on the Bosch 500 Series dishwasher and I'm glad I did. First the look: simple and modern. No buttons or handles or even a nameplate. It's just a plain stainless steel exterior which I like. The controls are on the top, out of sight when the door is closed. Second: this dishwasher is so quiet! At 44dB, one can barely hear it when the house is completely quiet. My old dishwasher made it so I hated to talk on the phone in my home office while it ran because it was so distracting. Finally the cleaning: Dishes come out clean with no water spots. We use the recommended Finish detergent and Jet Dry rinse aid. We do have standing water on cups and mugs but that doesn't bother us (on regular auto cycle). We also love the third rack for things like spatulas, long knives, stirring spoons, etc.

Yes. The internet is like the road that you drive on and the laptop is like the car that drives on the road. You need to get internet from an internet service provider, usually via cable companies or phone companies. Then you connect your laptop to your internet connection and you're ready to go.

You must connect this to your computer via HDMI cable, which is provided in the box. If you need to connect with a different cable, I would look for a different monitor.

What size fan is being used on the back of the computer case? Also, on top of the case, it looks like another place to mount fans, what size are those mounts?
The one in back is 3.5". I think the top mount is 4".

No it doesn't. It has a random pattern that allows it to go over areas more than once, thus making the cleaning more effective.

It means the sound comes out through the back of the speaker. Others around you will be able to hear what you are listening to. They aren't any cooler to wear.

This is a navigation product made by Garmin for your car that also has Alexa built in. The intent is for this product to stay in your car, so you would need a different Alexa product for your home.
