I use it in...:Large home
I have ScreenBeam connected to my 50 in Panasonic Plasma in our family room. Very simple to connect, they even included a very nice HDMI cable! I'm using two devices with ScreenBeam today. The first is my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (awesome#. Very easy use, just drag the menu from the top of the screen, tap wireless display, then select the ScreenBeam. Connects in seconds! Great full 1080p quality. I'm able to see my entire screen, watch movies, share my pictures, even play some games. Also works well with Hulu, Netflix, and other streaming video services. This is really convenient, and much faster than using the "smart tv".... plus unlike my media player I'm not limited... whatever I can see on my Galaxy, I can see on the TV!
The other device is a new Dell Ultrabook running Windows 8.1. Once I figured out the "project to" feature, I was up and running. From Win 8.1, swipe from the right edge towards the center of the screen. The "charms menu" appears. Tap #or click# project to, wireless display, select screenbeam and voila! Again, very very crisp, clear graphics. almost no delay, I can even use my HDTV as a monitor, type, use my mouse, etc.
Overall, I'd recommend this over media player devices. The fact is, between my laptop, and my Galaxy, both of these devices do exactly what I need. Now all I have to do is a few simple taps, and it's all on my HDTV....
What's great about it: Great graphics quality, speed, and ease of use
I would recommend this to a friend!

I'm using this product to connect my Panasonic 50 inch SmartTV to my home network. Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, Picassa, etc. all work extremely well. Connection is fast, app store loads quickly, movies start almost instantaneously, and so far have not had any 'buffering', or 'rebuffering' messages from Netflix.
What's great about it: Works very well
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've had the gt784 from Actiontec up and running in my home for several months. First off, the installation was extremely easy. The product has a built in program that automatically connects you to your service provider (in my case AT&T). WiFi is very fast, even with over a dozen active devices (laptops, iphones, ipads, ipods, wifi cams, etc.).
What really impresses me is that this product is great for novice users and experts alike. for the novice, it basically does all the hard work for you. for the expert, you have tons of features and flexibility at your fingertips! I'm also extremely pleased with the performance of the connection to my service provider. The actual data speed I'm getting is better than the unit previously supplied by my isp.
What's great about it: Performance, ease of use

I'm running 5 wireless clients connected to my M1000 modem using this adapter. Performance is good, wireless doesn't drop out (which is a big deal for me). I like the fact that I didn't have to install any additional software
What's great about it: Setup in under a minute
What's not so great: none
I would recommend this to a friend!

JUNK

This item does not work with a new at&t service out of the box. Actiontec will answer there help line, but quickly ask you to call your ISP. AT&T DOES NOT SUPPORT THIS DEVICE. so i was transfered by them to a contractor that asked me if i understood, i was about to be charged $100 an hour for help!

To the contrary ....

As you can see, many of the 4 and 5 star reviews here are from AT&T customers. I too am an AT&T DSL customer, using this product at home. If you don't remember your DSL (PPP) username & password, you need to call AT&T and ask them for it. That's all you need.
If you don't have your password, you can still get limited access to AT&Ts website where you can lookup / reset your username and password.

Looking for a wireless router that is compatible with AT&T DSL system

The GT724WGR from Actiontec is a full wireless router with build in DSL modem that works with AT&T DSL. I'm using this in my home and couldn't be happier with the performance.

The unit is very easy to install. All you need to know is your DSL username and password. It has an automatic configuration built in, which handles all the techy stuff.

Wireless performance is great. I have a ~2500 sf home, 30 yrs old, and no dead spots.
