Perfect Solution to a Problem That Doesn't Exist

Fisrt off, Google Home is cool. Is it necessary? Absolutely not. Is it fun? Definitely!
The unit itself looks and feels a little cheap. The top is a matte plastic with lights inside and acts as a touch control for volume. The bottom is a white linen mesh. You can twist and pull the bottom off and there are a variety of different color bottoms you can purchase separately.
Setup was easy using the Google Home app (formerly the Chromecast App) on my iPhone. I was able to sync my Google account, Pandora Music and Nest Thermostat easily.
The first thing I did was set the temperature on my Nest. It was simple and the Home was very responsive.
Home listens for the phrase "OK Google" to come to life. It's very sensitive. I had it set up in my kitchen about 20 feet away and could talk to it in a normal tone without yelling. This is good and bad. It was also set off by a Google Pixel commercial on TV when someone said "OK Google." It also once responded to something random in a movie that it thought sounded like "OK Google." Fortunately, you can turn off the mic by pressing a button on the back.
I've mostly played around with it so far. I had my hands full in the kitchen and needed ounces converted to quarts, so I asked instead of picking up my phone. I got the answer I needed immediately. I asked for music by a particular artist and I got a playlist I had set up on Google Music.
The built in speakers are loud and clear, if a little mushy sounding. I really wish Google had included a lime out jack so I could hook it up to my stereo. If I had an audio Chromecast I could have directed the audio to that. If you have a video Chromecast you can ask Home to show you something on TV. Very slick!
I'm looking forward to seeing what other tricks Google teaches Home in the future. Right now it feels like a "fun to have" and not a "need to have" item for techies, but I can see it becoming more indispensable in the future.

Good for Students

I was impressed off the bat with the quality of the display. It's not full HD, but has very good color, contrast and viewing angles. When being held at arm's length as a tablet the resolution seems a little low, but at laptop distance with the keyboard it looks great.
The keyboard is detachable and held on with extremely strong magnets. You can carry it it around open and not worry about it falling out. The keys are small and cramped, but that's to be expected on a device this size. The keyboard has a full size USB port that you can use when the tablet is docked.
The tablet itself has a micro USB port that you'll have to use with a host adapter or micro USB drive. Luckily the tablet does not charge through the USB port, so you CAN charge and use the micro USB at the same time.
The back of the tablet is an attractive brushed aluminum with a small plastic strip on the top. The keyboard is plastic and has a matching silver paint job.
Overall the entire tablet feels pretty zippy for basic web surfing and email. Start doing anything data intensive and the disk transfer speed seems to become a bottleneck. It would be perfect for a student (it comes with the full suite of Office Mobile apps) and for watching videos, but heavier tasks may bog down the machine. It comes with 32GB of storage built in. After the Windows install there's over 15GB left. That's actually pretty good if you're sticking with Windows Store apps. There's a MicroSD slot for adding additional space.
It's a little on the heavy side for such a small tablet/keyboard combo. The upside of this is that it seems to be built to stand up to being thrown into a backpack or book bag.

Good for Travel and Active Use

These are a new form factor to the Bose lineup and are the around-the-neck earbud style that have become popular for fitness use. They have a hard "collar" that goes around the neck with the earbuds dangling from cables. One cable has a remote for smartphone use and an NFC tag to easily pair with selected Android devices.
They're unique in that the earbuds are similar to in-ear canal buds but actually only go in partially. A silicone "spring" holds them in place with a good seal at the opening of the ear canal. I don't like the feeling of something jammed into my ears, so these are a welcome fit. They're comfortable and seal well but don't go in very far.
The neck band feels solid but the fit and finish is a little disappointing for Bose. There are a lot of rough seams. In comparison to their high-end headphones these just don't have the premium look they're known for.
Sound quality for music is good, with more bass than my Bose around-the-ear headphones, but less high end. These lean more toward the signature Bose sound.
Phone call sound quality is excellent, and the mic works well.
Noise cancelling is very good, and the amount of cancelling is adjustable using a smartphone app. It's perfect for an office setting where you might want to knock down some sound but still hear what's going on in case the phone rings.
This form factor is perfectt for fitness applications, or maybe air travel where you don't want to have to keep track of bulky headphones. Unlike other brands of around-the-neck earbuds these don't attack magnetically to the neckband; they just dangle around your collar bones.
Included in the box is a slim, round case to protect them in a purse or backpack, a USB charging cable and small and large silicone ear tips. They come with the medium ones installed. Medium was perfect for me.

Punches Well Above it's Weight

First off, this thing is built like a tank, especially for this price point. The lid and inside are a brushed aluminum, with the lid having a cool brush pattern that will help to hide wear and scratches. The bottom and sides are a rubberized plastic that doesn't feel cheap at all.
The screen is full HD and looks great. Lighting is even and light bleed is minimal for this price point. The screen folds back all the way to be used in several modes, including a tablet mode. The hinge is smooth and tight so it stays in any position. Mine makes a scary snap when it goes all the way back, but I think it's the hinge locking into place so it stays flush.
Speakers are good, and offer loud, somewhat tinny sound. They're typical of laptop speakers and are some of the better ones I've heard, though.
The keyboard is a nice chicklet style with a full number pad. It's also backlit!
Where this thing really shines is with the processor and video card. It's running off the new Intel Kaby Lake platform with a 7th generation i5 and the new HD620 video card.
Intel has been working to make gaming possible in its integrated cards, and this time they've really started to hit their stride. I have a big desktop gaming rig for my main gaming, but this laptop, very surprisingly, is capable of being my secondary portable rig for light gaming.
So far it's been able to handle most of the games I've thrown at it in 720p low to medium settings (which looks very good on a laptop sized screen) at over 30 frames with some tweaking. Games like Doom and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare run at 30-ish frames while Overwatch runs a solid 50-60 at low and 30 at higher settings. Battlefield 4 also looks smooth at medium settings at 30 frames. While it's not a gaming laptop by any means, it's definitely capable of running some current and many older games while on the road. The 1TB hard drive provides ample room for tons of games and media, and the 8GB of memory is sufficient for gaming.
Gaming and heavy use will cause the fan to run, but it's fairly quiet and is much less distracting than a lot of other laptop I've used.
The cons here are small compared to the overall quality of the machine. The trackpad is good but not great. The power supply is the older style brick with a cable on each end (although it is small) while I prefer the travel style supply that plugs directly into the wall.
My main complaint is the amount of pre-loaded software. There is a lot. When I started using the machine disk utilization was very high, making it seem slower than it really is. Once I uninstalled some apps and disabled some of the more aggressive Windows processes everything ran snappy and the fan hardly ever comes on.
Overall I'm extremely impressed with this laptop. The screen and build quality alone are worth it, and the processor and excellent integrated video add value.

Full Coverage in a Three Story House

I set up the base router in my basement and the satellite on my third floor bedroom on the opposite end of the house. I thought there would be no way the wireless link between the two would work, but it did, and it worked well. This has been the only solution to getting the whole house covered with no dead spots.
Setup was dead easy. The two units saw each other on their own after powering them up. After that is a quick browser-based setup. I was up and running after 20 minutes.
I wish there were more than three Ethernet ports on the base, but I'm happy to see four on the satellite that I can connect to streaming boxes and the like upstairs.

Great for Pet Owners and Quilters

This does a great job of picking up hair, even drawing some out of the carpet my old vacuum didn't seem to pick up.
But, there's another group who will benefit from this vacuum, and that's people who sew a lot.
My wife is an avid quilter and I've had it with unwrapping loose thread from the carpet that tangles in the rotating bar. This vacuum has a specialy designed beater bar that makes it easy to remove pet hair, but has the added benefit of making it easy to remove thread. If you live in a home with a quilter, or are one yourself, you know your sewing room is filled with bits of thread!
All in all, a solid vacuum. Got it for the hair, keeping it for the thread!

Nearly Perfect

The first thing you'll notice is that this thing is sturdy. It's well built and weighs a lot. The weight is good because it ensures it won't slide around when you remove your phone. It also looks great. The glossy base and rubberized black accents will go well with black or white iPhone faces.
I'm using this on my nightstand in place of a large clock radio/speaker dock. I love that I was able to reclaim a bunch of my nightstand space for my glasses, TV remote and water bottle.
Not only was I able to reclaim space, but thanks to the integrated chargers and included AC adaptor I was able to get my iPhone and Apple Watch chargers back. And since the one adaptor powers both the phone and watch chargers I got an outlet back.
There's a dial on back to adjust the height of the lightning connector so the phone charger can work with most cases.
My only issues, and they're minor, is that the lightning connector flexes forward and back (to accommodate thicker cases) so it makes it harder to dock the phone in the dark when I wake up in the middle of the night and check my emails. Also, I wish they had put a slightly rubberized coating on the watch charger. The watch sticks to it securely, but tends to rotate in place with the slightest bump, like when the phone vibrates.

Best Wireless Headphones Out There

I'm a headphone fanatic having grown up in an audiophile household. I have a couple pairs of high-end wired headphones and have never been a big fan of wireless headphones because they just don't have the same sound.
These are about as close as I've come to hearing wired sound in a Bluetooth headset.
They definitely have the signature Bose sound; that is to say they emphasize the high midrange in a way that makes vocals very clear without being fatiguing over time. My main complaint about Bluetooth headphones is that they don't have sufficient highs. Bose seems to have overcome that problem. These have decent highs without sounding mushy. They can also be used with the included cable for slightly better sound.
The real star of the show is the active noise cancellation. I use these mainly in an office situation when I need to concentrate. Sometimes I find myself using them without music at all, just to drown out the noise of the office. The noise cancellation is excellent and knocks out almost everything around me entirely. I used them while mowing the lawn an could barely hear the mower. It's great being able to listen to a podcast while mowing and not miss any of the dialogue! There's no way to turn off the noise cancellation that I'm aware of. It would be nice to do so occasionally, especially at work when people may need to get my attention.
Build quality is excellent. They feel solid and worthy of a premium price. These are headphones you invest in an expect to use for an extended time. Included are a nice case (it still takes me a while to figure out which way to fold them to get into the case!), an airplane seat adapter (which has a neat holder in the case) and the cable to use them if the battery runs out. There's also a USB charging cable included. Bose has eschewed replaceable batteries and gone to a rechargeable battery. Charging time is extremely fast and the charge lasts a long time.
Comfort is top-notch. These are around the ear headphones. I have large ears and wear glasses, so I often have issues with earcups. These are no problem. The vinyl material on the cups gets hot after a while, but it's a minor complaint.
These can also be used to make and receive phone calls. I found them to be excellent!

Good Value for the Price

This tablet is kind of a mixed bag of good and bad. Overall it feels like a good value for the price.
The first thing I noticed was the build quality. It has an overall plasticy feel. Everything is plastic, including the screen. Because of that it smudges easily and is likely to scratch easily without a screen protector.
The back has a nice textured pattern that feels good and makes it easier to grip. The whole tablet feels sturdy and doesn't flex easily despite being plastic. It does creak here and there, however.
Coming from more premium tablets the screen's resolution looks disappointing up close. At arms length it starts to look much better. The display is bright and uniform, and color saturation is good. There's an included utility to tweak screen settings a little. Viewing angles are good for a tablet in this price range.
Performance is zippy enough for everyday tasks like browsing, email and consuming media. The included SD card slot is good for bringing more media on the go. Hopefully the tablet will get an update to Marshmallow soon so the SD card can be seen as internal storage.
The 32GB of internal storage is welcome, although there is a considerable amount of pre-installed software that can't be removed. One of which is a memory management app that constantly nags about low memory (RAM, not storage), which is strange because Android does a good job of managing memory on it's own. I just ignore it, but it's annoying that I can't just remove it completely.
Overall I'm impressed with the quality for the price, and I would consider this a good candidate as a second tablet or for a student, but wouldn't consider it a primary "daily driver."

It will also scan and has a document feeder to scan stacks of paper. The app also has a fax section, but I haven't tried faxing anything yet.

Would be a good screen to use for editing photos? Like will it show true color, or what I see is what I get? Other screens have caused me to over or under saturate my photos or make them to Bright or to dark!
I think the color is acceptable for general work, but I wouldn't try to edit photos on it. The blacks are a little washed-out.

It is not. There is no VESA mounting option at all

It may be a little small for console gaming, and it doesn't have built in speakers. Otherwise refresh rate seems good for gaming
