Excellent Surge Suppressor, Looks Great, too!

I have had a Panamax surge suppressor for about 12 years, but thought an upgrade was in order since I've recently upgraded most of my system. I have purchased a Samsung LCD TV, Denon receiver, Definitive Technology speakers, a PS3 and new CD player in the last 12 months (yeah, my wife is tickled!) and thought it wise to protect my investment with a newer generation suppressor from Panamax - essentially a great insurance policy.
It works great, looks cool and does what it is supposed to. I've had friends who have suffered lightening strikes and lost valuable equipment as a result. Since I live in Florida and lightening strikes are common, getting a surge suppressor is just plain common sense. By the way, I'm way over my love affair with Monstor products and their hype. When I compared their suppressors with Panamax the Panamax won hands down.
If you're looking for a quality suppressor, look no further!
What's great about it: Does what it is supposed to, with style
With a 5-1/4" midrange, 5-1/4" planar low-frequency woofer and 1" pure aluminum dome tweeter cone, this Definitive Technology Pro Monitor 1000 Black bookshelf speaker provides immersive cinema sound in a small package.

I picked up my first pair of Def Tech Pro Monitor 1000's yesterday to go along with my Supercube III Sub and Pro Center 2000 Center Channel speaker. Although I auditioned them with a Denon 2808ci receiver (which I bought a couple of months ago) they sounded even better once I got them home. I replaced huge Boston speakers with these and can't tell you how impressed I am. The size really is deceptive. They sound like MUCH larger speakers. The technology utilized results in a speaker that blows everthing else I listened to out of the water - regardless of price. You owe it to yourself to give these a listen. You definitely will not be disappointed. I have been a Boston Acoustics cheerleader since I bought my first pair in 1983, but I've changed my allegiance. Definitive Technology ROCKS - in every sense of the word. Even their customer service is first rate. I spoke with a Technician before I purchased and he talked me out of larger and more expensive Def Tech speakers. Boy, I'm glad I listened to him!
What's great about it: The audiophile sound quality is out of this world!
What's not so great: Nothing...Absolutely Nothing!
