Great Lens

I've had this lens almost a year now and love it. I performs well enough that it has replaced the 70-200 f2.8 as my long zoom of choice. If you use this in nearly any condition short of low light it performs well, focuses fast and gives outstanding images. Lenses like this are why I went to Nikon. If you shoot in low light a lot consider a pro lens with large aprature but if you are a normal user this lens delivers tack sharp images with or without the VR turned on. Those who have written the lens is "soft" need to work on their technique or grab a point and shoot because 300mm lenses don't get any sharper than this at any price. I know because I've shot many others. The photo of the robin nestlings was shot through a tiny opening in a hedge in deep shadow on autofocus with tricky backlighting and high ISO. That is great focus performance. It is easy to take pictures of long distance objects, blow it up and look at it but to get close and fill the frame with color and detail is the true test of a lens and this one just flat out works. Stop reading and buy it!
What's great about it: Image quality and lightweight
What's not so great: Not pro quality build, slow in low light
I would recommend this to a friend!

What is the best processor on the market right now?

I am looking for a laptop and I know I should get a dual processor but I don't know which to choose. Is intel still the best?
I've used both Intel and AMD with no complaints. If speed is important to you it is easier to find Intel with DDR3 memory. That will make up for any processor speed differences. If you want serious performance get the Dell Studio XPS 1640. It gives top line MAC performance on a PC budget.
