Great monitor with beautiful image quality.

So far i have been thoroughly enjoying this gaming monitor. It has met all of my needs, even those i didn't know i had. You see, when my daughter moved away to college, he bedroom desk went unused and bare. When i got this gaming monitor i decided to hook it up in my daughter's room and create a makeshift gaming setup. I have my Asus ROG gaming laptop, connected to this monitor. So far i love it!
First, the monitor is 27", which is a great size for standard everyday gaming. It is a wide screen display and is excellent for gaming. It has 2 hdmi ports, a display port and a Headphone jack. The stand is easy to install, they even provide a screwdriver to use for installing the base. The monitor includes the power cable and even an hdmi cable. The menu buttons on the back are nice and large and very easy to navigate. That is actually one of my favorite features of this monitor.
The display image quality is gorgeous! I have been trying out all of my best looking games on it and keep getting impressed with the quality. The image is brilliant and clear. I have found no issues with this monitor and look forward to enjoying it for years to come!

Perfect affordable MagSafe case.

When I got my new iPhone 15, I thought I had to get an expensive name brand case. When I saw that Insignia made a simple sase with MagSafe, I figured I would give it a try. Everything about the case looked comparable to any higher end case that I found.
The case comes nicely packaged and is easy to open and remove. The case itself has a very nice texture, with a rubbery feel to it. The rubber is smooth and has a nice grip that is not too "rubbery", if that makes sense. It is the right amount of friction. The case fits very tight to the phone, which is good because it does not come loose when you remove it out of your pocket. I have several cases in which a corner lifts up off the phone when it gets removed from the pocket. I really like the feel of the phone in your hand with the rubber feel, it's nice and secure.
The mag safe feature has a nice strong magnet. The phone sticks easily to the magic mount in my car. My mag wallet also sticks very easy to the case. All accessories are nice and secure. My glass screen protector also fits perfectly without issue with the case.
The only negative i can say is that the finish allows for you to see every finger print and all dirt and residue can be easily seen. Not a big deal.

I am loving my new Ray Ban Meta Wayfarer sunglasses! When you first get the sunglasses, you don't really know what to expect. But once you open the box you are immediately reminded that to own one of the coolest pieces of tech today.
The glasses come in a classic Ray Ban tan case, but with a twist. The case is actually a charging case. It is only slightly bigger than a traditional Ray Ban case. It has a dot light indicator on front to tell you when it's on and when it's charging.
Setting up the glasses are very easy with the meta view app. There were zero issues when pairing the glasses. The app then takes you through a brief tutorial. Then you are ready to rock your new shades! I immediately starting snapping photos and shooting videos of my wife and daughter in my living room. They wanted to be mad but couldn't because the idea was so cool. I then took them to work with a bunch of paranoid construction workers and started filming them during our morning and afternoon hang outs. They too were tickled by how cool the shades were, they didn't even care that i was filming them.
The photo and video resolution is excellent. You cannot truly believe that it is filmed or shot on a pair of sunglasses. The media shows up on the app where you can extract to your phone. It is pretty simple and easy to use. It can also automatically download to your phone if you like.
These sunglasses even have built in speakers and act like headphones. The sound quality is actuality very good. I currently own a different brand of Headphone sunglasses, and the Ray Bans blow them away.
The buttons are very easy to locate, touch, and get the hang of. I had no issues controlling everything with ease. There is a bright light on the glasses that come on when you take a photo or video. This let's people know you are recording them. I like this feature because it maintains full disclosure on what you are doing. Battery life is decent, the more i played with them, the more i noticed how quickly the battery can deplete. Just make sure you have your case handy.
Overall, i think that these sunglasses are worth every penny. They perform very well and are great conversation starters. If you love standing out and having the latest tech, these are for you.

Easy to setup and use, sounds amazing!

For some reason i cannot stop acquiring turntables. I am obsessed. I find something different in each one that lets me justify purchasing it. This Vicrola record player features a belt drive system, premium cartridge and stylus, Bluetooth, and a carbon fiber arm. I had to get it.
This record player comes well packed and is super easy to assemble. The instructions are on the box lid when you lift it up. The belt is taped onto the platter with a ribbon that helps you attach it to the motor. You attach the cartridge to the arm, screw on the weight and you are ready to go. The weight only needs minor adjusting to be perfectly balanced. But this may take some time if you are not experienced.
There is a single button on the front of the unit. It turns on the unit, cycles through line and Bluetooth, and turns off the unit. In Bluetooth mode it immediately goes into pairing mode. I connected it to my Pioneet Elite receiver. I put on a jazz record and was taken away into musical bliss. I then played some classic rock and loved it.
The only negative i can think of is the dust cover is not attached. It looks really nice when it's on, but you remove it to play a record and have to find someplace to put it. I don't have a lot of space in my living room, so this is a bit of a chore for me.
Overall, i really love this record player. I am using right now as i write this review. It's easy to setup, easy to use, and sounds amazing!

This portable monitor is awesome! I work from home some days and am usually at my desk with a dock and monitors. However I love taking my laptop to my patio and even on vacation to work remotely. I already have an Asus Portable monitor that has to be packed separately and used with a stand. This monitor Mounts to your laptop lid and changes the game!
All you have to do is install 3 magnets using the provided template. Be sure to check that it will sit to your liking. Then you snap on the monitor, that's it. You open the lid and then slide out the monitor and angle it slightly. It's pretty seamless. You then connect the monitor with either a USB C to USB C cable or a mini HDMI to HDMI cable, all of which are included. If your computer is not capable of video output via USB, then you will have to use the HDMI cable plus the USB cable for power to the monitor.
Once it is up and running, it is plug and play. The resolution is very good with no complaints at all. Your computer will recognize it like a normal monitor and it will behave as such. I even connected my asus usb monitor and they both worked.
From this point forward, i have an awesome portable setup when working remote and on the go. I highly recommend this monitor and is a must have if you travel and take your laptop.

Perfect upgrade from Ring.

I have been a long time Ring doorbell user. I finally decided to make a change to eufy since i already have the smart keypad lock and the flood light camera. I wanted to keep more devices in the same ecosystem.
Installation of the camera is very easy, both mounting it and setting up via the app. I like that they include some wire with a connector to make the connection sit properly. Now my doorbell is charging all the time time.
I played with the settings and am using the best settings that you can use. The video is maximum quality and i have the motion clips set to record along with a thumb nail in the notification panel. I also have it set to record if a package is delivered.
There are two cameras, one front facing and one facing down. The down facing camera is meant to see packages that are left in front of your door. Unfortunately my mailbox blocks that view, but that's my problem. There is also a nice dual light that turns on as well.
The last thing I will mention is the built in storage that eliminates the need for any type of paid subscription for event storage. The built in memory will hold a large amount of video clips depending on image quality you select.
Overall i am really enjoying my new doorbell camera. It had given me no issues and works perfectly.
I do like the notification sounds that ae included in the app.

In my basement I have an embarassingly large amount of home audio equipment. I have multiple stereo receivers, and enough speakers to open a show room. Some would say I have a problem. But the one thing I was missing was an all in one, classy yet powerful amplifier to power my Klipsch Reference Premier speakers. Plus, I am on a mission to get rid of any audio equipment that I have not used this year. My wish was granted, and I received the Technics Grand Class network amplifier.
It ships in a very large box, but has a much smaller box inside with the actual amplifier. The amp is packed extremely well and includes a power cable, remote, and am/fm antenna. You plug in the unit and it is ready to go. It immediately starts with the wi-fi function as it looks to connect to your network. I already have the Google Home app, so connecting it to my home nework is super easy. All I had to do is connect two speakers to it and play some music. I have a vintage pair of KEF Q series floor standing tower speakers that I love. One quick note, the banana plugs have small covers on them plugged in that have to be removed to use banana plug connectors. They can be a little tricky to remove, but that was technically the hardest part about setting this up. I connected the speakers and playes some music off of my Spotify. I was immediately taken away into musical bliss. I was reminded of why I loved those speakers so much as the amplifier powered them with precise tones and beautiful notes. I immediately grabbed my family and asked them to have a listen to make sure it was not a placebo effect on my part. Everyone agreed that this was the best sounding music in the house thus far.
The amplifier has about every feature you can ask for. It has HDMI ARC, wi-fi, Apple Air Play, Chromecast, Bluetooth, and several inputs. It even has a phono input with ground, and an AM/FM tuner. It also features a pre out for an additional source.
I cannot say enough good things about this amplifier so far. It will be a mainstay in my basement for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend!

Must have for any household.

For some reason I find that I need scissors much more often than I realized. From some of the many packages that my family goes through, to cutting down vacuum seal bags for my food vacuum sealer. I also partake in several home DIY projects. I think that the ZipSnip scissors are the perfect fit for my day to day.
Right out of the package I checked for a charge, and they powered right up. I did not have to charge it at first. In order to operate you must push in a safety lever and then pull the trigger. There is a odd shaped spinning wheel (not perfectly round) that actually cuts the object. I have had electric scissors before and they usually had the two blades of traditional scissors, so this was interesting to me. I immediately bagan to cut a cardboard box that I planned to recycle and it did so flawlessly. I also like the design of the scissors as they cut all the way across the object and don't get hung up. compared to regular scissors. By this I mean that the handle and your hand get in the way of longer cuts. The ZipSnip lets you push along with no issues.
I then decided to charge the scissors with the included charger. It is an included charger that is somewhat proprietary, I would have preferred a type C charger but not a big deal. After charging completely I began to test this on anything I could. I tried different plastics and cardboards. It worked great. I did not attempt anything metal as I did not want to ruin the scissors and I don't think metal is an intended material to cut.
Overall, I feel that the ZipSnip scissors are a necessity in any household. They are small and easy to use. They take a lot of effort out of any large cuts that you would use a traditional pair of scissors.

Easy to use and great picture and mic quality.

I needed a webcam for my new work setup in my office. I already have a Logitech webcam in my home setup, but this one would be exclusively for the office. I like the simplicity of this camera and the unique design with the camera cover that slides.
The very first thing I noticed was that is uses a traditional USB connector. I have mixed feelings about this. My other webcam uses USB type C. I suppose the traditional connector makes it more universal to use, but just feels a little outdated.
When I plugged the webcam into my computer, it took a little over a minute to install the drivers and be ready to use. I then made sure that the HP camera app was installed on my work computer. For some reason I have to "activate" a camera on my work computer. I then tested it out in the camera app that is built in. I was able to record videos and take some photos. I must say that I was very happy with the results. I can tell you that it is truly 1080p, full HD.
My next test was on a Microsoft Teams conference call, or meeting. Everyone on the call was able to hear me better than when I used my computer's built in microphone and the image quality was way better than the built in webcam on my laptop. What also makes this better is that I have this mounted on my center monitor and can leave my laptop closed as it is connected to a dock. This is the main reason I got this.
I must say that I am very happy with this webcam and it has delivered on all the features as promised. I recommend this to anyone who needs an easy to use webcam with great definition and a very good microphone.
The very first thing I noticed was that is uses a traditional USB connector. I have mixed feelings about this. My other webcam uses USB type C. I suppose the traditional connector makes it more universal to use, but just feels a little outdated.
When I plugged the webcam into my computer, it took a little over a minute to install the drivers and be ready to use. I then made sure that the HP camera app was installed on my work computer. For some reason I have to "activate" a camera on my work computer. I then tested it out in the camera app that is built in. I was able to record videos and take some photos. I must say that I was very happy with the results. I can tell you that it is truly 1080p, full HD.
My next test was on a Microsoft Teams conference call, or meeting. Everyone on the call was able to hear me better than when I used my computer's built in microphone and the image quality was way better than the built in webcam on my laptop. What also makes this better is that I have this mounted on my center monitor and can leave my laptop closed as it is connected to a dock. This is the main reason I got this.
I must say that I am very happy with this webcam and it has delivered on all the features as promised. I recommend this to anyone who needs an easy to use webcam with great definition and a very good microphone.

The perfect all in one music system.

I can honestly say that I can never have enough high end audio equipment. I was skeptical as to how much I would use the Ottava system, but given the features I could not resist picking it up. I am glad I did.
My first impression with this music system is that it is extremely high quality. It is an all in one system that takes almost no time setting up. The hardest part for me was finding my surge protector behind my media cabinet to plug in the unit. I then inserted the included batteries into the remote and I was ready to listen to music in my basement family room.
The first thing I did was grab the first pile of CDs that I had tucked away in the corner of my storage side of my basement. CDs that I have not listened to in years. I placed Smashing Pumpkins "Melancholy" into the music system and began to listen. I felt like I was listening to it for the first time. The sound was crystal clear and I could hear every note. I then changed out 3 other CDs and just sat back and listened to the beautiful sound.
I then decided to actually look at the owner's manual and complete a few of the tasks that will enhance the music system. I did the auto calibration so I could optimize the sound in my space. It did that in less than two minutes and I feel that it made the sound even better after. I then connected it to my home network. You do this via the Google Home app and it is actually easier than most of the other "smart" devices that I have connected to my network recently. In another two minutes I had the music system connected to my home network.
I then opened my Spotify app on my phone and "cast" the music to the Ottava. This music also played crystal clear with zero issues with sound or connectivity. I was in music heaven as I love when things just "work".
I now find myself casting music to the device every time I am in my basement. I have even rediscovered my entire catalog of old music CDs, and for this I am greatful. I cannot say enough good things about the Ottava music system, other than it is a must buy!

Does any plastic on this kettle come in contact with the water?
Yes, the sealed lid is plastic with slots that make contact with the water as you pour it out. Even if you remove the lid, the mouth is also plastic that makes contact when you pour out the water. Hope this helps!

I'm a runner in the market for new buds. Will these stay in during a rigorous workout?
I would not risk running with these buds. They are a little bulky and have a rubber "band" that is supposed to help seal in the ear, but can also push the bud out a little. I would recommend the Plantronics Backbeat Fit ear buds.

Your question sort of contradicts itself as using an app to control something is essentially a "smart" home function. You can use the lock without connecting to the internet and use as a simple push code lock. But for that then spend less money and buy one without the internet accessibility. Once this lock is setup you can connect it to your home network and control it using the August app if you wish. You can also integrate it into an even "smarter" home by adding the Connect bridge and using it with Google Home, Alexa, etc. Hope this answers your question.
