Very Cool, the kids will love it

This camera is very cool and actually has some surprising features.
The first thing it does well is print photos. You simply use as a point and click camera and it will print on the spot. The photo is small but has a peel and stick back. The kids will love messing with this, and maybe some teens. The camera has a few features, such as adding a border, and flash on/off, and outdoor mode.
I also like that you just buy the paper, you don't need ink or anything like that. It is easy to remove the cover and load the paper.
The camera also has a rechargeable battery that charges via micro USB. The battery lasts a long time and I have yet to recharge it.
One of the coolest features though, is the ability to link the camera to your phone and snap a photo remotely. You setup the camera where you like and you see the camera's viewfinder on your phone's screen. Then once you are ready to snap a pic, you hit a shutter button on your phone to take the picture remotely. You can also set a timer on the shutter. I really like this feature as my family loves taking family photos by ourselves, especially during these times of quarantine.
The camera is a great size and fits good in the hand and takes great photos. It is a fun little gadget that the family can all enjoy.

Decent sound great battery some quirks
on October 29, 2020
Posted by: Bootleg89

The JBuds wireless earbuds are pretty good for the price but have some quirks. I would have given them 3 stars if it weren't for the fantastic battery life.
The earbuds themselves are pretty average in sound. They will not make you feel like you are listening to a high end setup, but they are not bad. Keep in mind that they are budget earbuds.
The noise cancelling feature is not great either. Again, these are budget but they let in a lot of sound. They have 3 settings, ANC on, "pass through", and ANC off. When ANC is on, you can still hear most surrounding noise. They block out some noise but it feels like there is not really anything special happening with noise cancelation. When ANC is off, they just sound like run of the mill earbuds. When the pass through feature is on, it sounds the same as when ANC is off, but with a hissing noise. This feature is supposed to actually let in outside noise in case you need to be alert, but it just produces a hissing sound.
The earbuds feature some type of touch response for the controls, no buttons. It can sometimes be hard for the bud to detect a press. This is better than one that is too sensitive I suppose and performs actions when you don't need it. The right earbud controls the volume up with a single tap. The play/pause is a double tap as opposed to a single tap like on every other earbud I have ever owned. That is kind of odd. And the long press changes the track, versus the traditional double tap on most earbuds. The left earbud controls the volume down with a single tap, and long presses control all of the noise cancelling features.
The charging case is nice as it snaps in the earbuds with a nice magnetic click, very satisfying. But the magnetic hold is very strong, they are the hardest earbuds I have had as far as removing them from the case. The case has a built in USB plug that pops out and stores inside the case. This is very convenient, second only to wireless charging. One quirk that I do not like is sometimes they are hard to get in the case. This is because the earbuds have a rubber gasket that surrounds the buds that are meant to create a seal in your ear. This gasket type rubber is loose and moves around and will prevent the earbuds sometimes from fully locking into place in the wireless case. If they don't lock in, they will not charge and you will be left with a dead earbud when you need it most.
Now where they really earn their keep, battery life. These things last like 7 hours on a single charge at a reasonable volume. I know many earbuds advertise long battery life, but these small buds honestly last the longest of all the ones I own. I use them to fall asleep and when I was up in the morning they are still playing music. They probably last longer than 7 hours but not much. The only quirk regarding the battery is the voice warns you "low battery" is very loud. If you are listening to music at a low volume because you are trying to fall asleep, this warning will surely wake you up.
Overall, I think these are very good because of the price and battery life. For me, they are not my first choice for wireless earbuds though.

High quality, good idea, could be nicer.

This machine is great because it gives you both a drip coffee maker and espresso machine in one. The only issue is that the drip coffee maker feels cheap, it reminds me of a drip you would find on black Friday for under 15 bucks.
The espresso maker is very nice and does feel high quality. The instructions are very clear and it is hard to mess up. You just have to pay attention to what insert you use and make sure you use a fine ground coffee. It heats up pretty quick and disperses a nice cup of espresso. It also has a milk frother that works very nice. I have had other espresso machines and this one works very similar to those. Pretty reliable.
The only disappointment was in the coffee maker. It is a traditional drip coffee maker with a cone filter. It reminds me of a cheap hotel coffee maker or one you would find for under 15 dollars. We were used to a Ninja coffee station that has multiple sizes for pots, mugs, or thermos. You can only make a pot.
Overall this is a nice machine if you are going to rely heavily on the espresso machine and drip coffee for big batches. It is not an every day coffee maker.

5 Stars, love this keyboard!
on October 19, 2020

I specifically like to hear a nice snap or click when I am typing. So when I saw that this mechanical keyboard specifically mentions how nice the keys feel and click I had to give it a try.
I am currently working from home and have been using a nice Logitech keyboard with a lot of hot keys for shortcuts. But it feels mushy at times and some of the keys are starting to wear out and stick. I have cleaned it a few times but it is just old already. I got this new Logitech K845 and have never looked back.
It does feature some hot keys that you use with the function F keys, like volume, brightness, and calculator. The only thing I really miss was a button I had assigned on my old keyboard to open a specific file path. But other than that I have no issues. There is a full numeric pad and the keys light up. The lights can range from solid, to patterns with a function F command. It is very cool, but I usually just keep it lit up solid as the patterns are a bit distracting for me while I am working.
Now for the best part, the feel. The keyboard is aluminum and plastic with a very high quality look and feel. It is nice and heavy and just feels great compared to every other keyboard I have ever used. The buttons are plastic but are mechanical, meaning the moving parts are metal and of higher quality meant to take more abuse. When I am typing there is no mistaking if you pressed a key or not, you hear and feel it. I love it! I can pound away at the keys and it just flows with a nice clicking that is so satisfying. In fact, I am typing this very review using it. The keyboard is also wired so no need to worry about changing batteries. I am always at a work station so a wireless keyboard has never been an essential for me. Plus with the lights, you would probably go through batteries rather quickly.
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this keyboard. Once you start using it, all other keyboards will feel like toys.

Lake Michigan Water Never Tasted So Good
on September 22, 2020
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Northwest, IL
We have Lake Michigan water and it is overall pretty good. But we recently installed an ice maker and have been drinking a lot more tap water. I thought it would be a good idea to get a filter installed.
The installation was very simple if you have ever done any minor water line work before. If you never have, you will still be able to install. You simply find a place for it under the sink and mount the canister/housing using 2 screws. Then you shut off the cold water line and remove the hose. You tie the filter into the water line then tie the hose into the filter. The filter acts as a pass through for your cold water. The filter hoses use a "push in" hose, so make sure you push them in firmly and all the way. On my first attempt I did not push one in all the way and it leaked and sprayed immediately. I had to shut the water off again and check the connection. I just pulled the hose out and pushed it in again making sure to push it all the way in.
Then I turned it back on and checked for leaks and there were none. You then run the water for about 5 or 6 minutes to clear the "new" out of it.
I then packed a tumbler full of ice and filled it up with tap water. I took a big swig and clearly noticed a difference in taste. There was actually no taste. It was like drinking from a water bottle. And our tap water normally has a distinct taste, not much but you can notice something there. Hard to explain, but those who drink tap water probably know what I am talking about. I then had everyone in my house try it (they all drink the tap water too) and they all noticed the difference as well. This was a winner and everyone in the house thanked me for the fresher water.
The only downside I can notice is that the water pressure from the cold water is slightly down. The hot water is still strong, but the cold water is not. It is not a deal breaker and is not causing any negative side effects, but I just thought I should mention it.
Overall I would say that if you normally drink tap water you should definitely purchase this filter. It makes a difference and makes you feel like you are enjoying a nice refreshing clear/clean water bottle but with no waste.

Noticeable relief, highly recommend!

I am 38 years old and have noticed every time I do physical activity I notice a new ache or soreness in my lower extremities. I decided to try these compression boots to see if they helped at all. They do.
Right out of the box you notice that the boots are packed in their carrying case which is helpful so you can see how to re-pack them and how they will fit. It is not rocket science, but still helpful nonetheless. It includes an international charger and cord that plugs into both boots at the same time. The best part is that you can use the boots while they are charging.
I plugged both boots in, and slipped them on. You slip your foot in, zip up the boot over your shin, then use 3 large Velcro straps over your thigh to secure the boots.
You hold the power button for like 2 seconds and they power on and cycle through. They start at the foot and work their way up to the upper thigh. There are 4 "chambers" of compression in total. You can also adjust how much each chamber compresses. I messed around with the settings and ended up accidentally leaving one foot at a much smaller compression amount. At first I thought the chamber had popped or something, but then I watched the LED display and saw that one foot was compressing to '20' and not '50 like the other foot. I adjusted it to 50 and they all matched. It is somewhat hard to see the display as it is on the side of the leg and you have to turn your leg inward and rotate it to see.
When you are done you simply hold the power button again for 2 seconds and they shut off, releasing air slowly. They are very easy to use.
The only weird thing is that they run at different times even if you press both power buttons at the exact same time. I am not sure if there is some type of method or medical reason for it, but they never run together at the same time. Maybe so you notice the compression in both legs rather than they cancel each other out? Anyways, not necessarily a bad thing, but just something I noticed.
So the first day out of the box I felt good after using them. A few days later I played basketball for a few hours. Then I came home, showered, and strapped the boots on for some therapy. WOW! My knees were sore at first and so was one ankle. I seriously noticed a difference after wearing the boots. I used them for about 20 minutes. After I take them off I kind of prance around to see how my legs feel and they feel great. There is still minor soreness as they don't work miracles, but you can go from hobbling around to walking straight. This was for my soreness playing basketball, not saying if you are injured you will be restored to normal. But I honestly do notice a difference.
My second test was after a rigorous workout in my basement (P90X3). I came up and got ready for bed. While laying in bed I strapped on the boots and ran them for about 20 minutes, took them off and went to bed. When I got up about an hour later to use the restroom, I noticed that my legs felt fine and rejuvenated rather than sore before I put the boots on. It is a good feeling.
I don't want to forget to mention that the boots feel great while they are working. Each chamber compresses one at a time and it is quite a nice feeling. You are totally relaxed, like you are getting a nice leg massage. Also, the batter life is great. I charged it when I first got it and have only had to charge it once in about a month. I used it about 6 or 7 times in that period and it did not really die, it just showed one bar so I plugged it back in. It doesn't feel like it uses a lot of power.
Overall, I cannot recommend these compression boots enough. You will notice the difference and if you work out regularly and feel sore, these will be a heaven send. If you are an athlete you will probably use these more and will find yourself wondering why you did not purchase them earlier.

I feel like a pro with this
on September 8, 2020

First off, I have never purchased a phone camera accessory before, not even a selfie stick. So far this gadget has been extremely fun to use and I love it.
The packaging is super cool and right out of the box you can feel how high quality it is. Everything feels feels nice and smooth, joints are tight and buttons are nice and snappy.
Setup is very easy, you clip your phone into the holder, snap that holder onto the arm, then unfold the arm. I then downloaded the app by scanning the QR code it made me accept apps from unknown sources to install. Not sure if the app is simply in the app store, but it was just easier to scan the code. The app makes you setup a new account, you accept a bunch of permissions, then you are ready to pair. You turn on the gimbal and pair it in the app. Now the fun begins.
The app gives you a bunch of video and photo shooting modes. The video is where this really shines. You can pan and zoom via the handles buttons and knobs. Even more fun is the image stabilization. Wow! It works great and is really fun to use. It even has a tracking feature where you draw a box around an object and the camera follows it. I drew one around my daughter and there was no escaping me.
I love this thing! It will make you feel like a pro!

Not perfect, some issues
on September 8, 2020
Posted by: Bootleg89

I thought this would be pretty simple and straight forward but I was wrong. For some reason it doesn't like to charge my Galaxy S9 plus. First I thought it was an issue with trying to fast charge 2 phones, but it failed to charge mine even by itself. It starts to charge and even shows I am fast charging, then when I check out the small light is orange and my phone did not charge. This is very frustrating. My wife's Galaxy S9 charges just fine. Plus my phone charges fine with all other wireless chargers.
It also charges my work iPhone XR and my daughter's XR just fine with no issues.
The one thing I really like about this charger is that it comes with an AC adapter. I dislike the chargers that require a USB block sold separately.
Overall the dual charger is convenient and I do like it. Maybe my phone not charging is just an abnormality.

Huge upgrade, easy install
on August 19, 2020

I got this solid state drive for my gaming laptop and it is a major upgrade in every way. This is why:
The laptop came with a 512GB M2 drive and a spare 2.5" bay. I wanted to run the OS off the Samsung and use the M2 drive for adding games. I thought this would be difficult at first but it was not, and boy was it rewarding.
You will need to have the adapters to plug in the SSD to clone your existing disk. I downloaded the Samsung drive cloning software, plugged in the SSD and copied the main hard drive. This took about 4 hours start to finish with no errors. It then renders the old drive obsolete. I removed the M2 drive and booted up the laptop, voila! It started up with no issues, I was now booting up off the Samsung SSD, awesome!
I then put the M2 stick back in its bay to format as a storage drive. It took my computer 2 restarts to recognize it, but it finally did (not Samsung's fault). I formatted it and set up as a D drive. I now have 1.5GB of solid state disk space!
I love it because now I can download a bunch of games I got while quarantined without fear of filling up my hard drive.
I highly recommend this drive, it is large, fast, and an instant upgrade. I love it!

Sensors are cool, help monitor house temperature
on July 24, 2020
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Northwest, IL
I received a 2 pack of sensors to help monitor the temperature of my house. I have been pretty impressed so far.
The sensors are very easy to setup. You hit the "plus" sign in the app and select "room sensors". Then you scan the QR code on the sensor and it pairs to your system. Then it gives you step by step instructions on how to setup, which is pretty much placing it in a room. It then shows you the temp in that room and also detects presence in the room. So the system will not run if a room is too warm/cool but nobody is in it. Also, I went out of town and the system did not run as much as it detected nobody was home.
The app shows you the room temps on the home page of the app. It works flawlessly. The app has run without glitches or bugs. Ecobee has a very refined app that works great. I am just now appreciating it that I have a few more of the Ecobee products (camera, door sensors, ect).
Overall, I really enjoy the Ecobee lineup and their app makes you want to keep using their ecosystem of smart home products.

The compact size fits neatly on top of your existing tower speakers for an easy way to upgrade your sound system. Mica-reinforced cellular cones reduce distortion, while the MDF cabinets absorb vibrations for better playback. These Sony Dolby Atmos-enabled speakers offer surround sound capabilities for an immersive listening experience.

Today was the first day I saw these (Sony - Dolby Atmos Enabled Speakers (Pair) - Black) available at Best Buy (other retailers have had them for about two weeks). It's 10:30am ET and they're sold out. Seriously!? When will they be available? If ever.

They will be available once they are obtained and put back into inventory. Thanks!

Was just advised by Norton rep (have Nighthawk 1900/r7000 + Ubee Spectrum modem & current Norton Internet Security Premium) that I should "ADD the Core to my Nighthawk for enhanced security". Is this correct? So I'd connect Core to modem AND Nighthawk??
