Sleek, lightweight, but needs improvement
on January 7, 2020

So I have mixed feelings about this watch. It has many pros, but the OS seems unrefined.
From the get go the watch looks very nice and sleek. It is well polished and the band is very thick and feels sturdy. The watch itself is very light weight, like half the weight of most full size Galaxy watches. It is very easy to setup via the Wear OS app on your phone. It syncs with your Google account so it works with your contacts, calendar, etc very seamlessly.
Now the bad part, the OS. Sending a text is almost impossible. For some reason there is no keyboard to type. You can only compose a text through speech. I do not like that. You can reply easily to a text via the built in "smart responses" and that is great. But if you want to draft a message from scratch and want to use the Google keyboard (which is in the settings), you cannot use it. I have tried everything, but the keyboard never pops up in the message app.
It also takes a long time to think when running most processes. The Google colored circles spin around for what seems like a tad bit too long to launch a speech feature like the message or opening an event. It just doesn't feel like it is running to it's full potential.
The physical characteristics are very nice on the watch. It has three buttons and the middle one spins. This allows you to scroll through the menus very easy. The top and bottom buttons allow you to program them to quickly launch what you want. This makes things very easy for common processes.
The Overall usability for the watch is very good, it simply works. I just don't think it works as smooth as the Galaxy OS. I expected more from Google. If you have never used a smart watch before you may not notice these differences so this may be the watch for you. It is light and very sharp looking and easily customize able. It works well, but with a few quirks, I can recommend overall.

Works like a charm

i am really enjoying my new iPad case! It is smooth, functional and feels very solid as most Logitech products are.
Right out of the box setup is very easy. You remove the battery tab to allow it to turn on. You push the sync button and go into your iPad settings and connect it. That's it. You then lock the iPad into place and it automatically lets you start typing using the keys. When it is not "clicked" in the keys don't work so it lets you use it as a normal folding case. Very clever.
It also has an Apple Pencil holder. This is very nice because there is no other way i was able to easily store my pencil with my iPad.
When you are done using the keyboard and you want to put away the iPad you snap it closed and it feels very nice. It is closed shut very tight and there is never any worry that the iPad will get damaged. It also works with my glass screen protector with no issues. Perfect fit.
When I am using this case my iPad now feels complete. I feel like I am getting the most professional use with my iPad and pencil storage. I open it up and type up emails with the keyboard. Everyone who sees me gets very jealous watching me use it. I am very happy with this case!

Excellent, well constructed mouse

I got this mouse mostly for my daughter to use when she helps me work from home. It has not disappointed.
The must feels so well constructed and solid. It is very smooth and aesthetically pleasing. It feels like an Apple magic mouse. Very simple.
I am assuming the battery will last the 18 months as advertised since all of my other logitech mice seem to last forever with battery life.
Mouse is plug and play and works like it should. Zero complaints with functionality.
We love this mouse. Highly recommended for that minimalist look and feel.

Sound great, had issues
on November 6, 2019

First impressions of these earbuds are that they are very nice and high quality. They have a nice feel to them and seem to be very sturdy. This goes for the charging case as well. The buds snap right into the charger magnetically. The case closes using a magnet as well and that closes with a nice snap.
I popped these out of the case and they went into pairing mode and I immediately paired them with my iPhone. I started listening to the Hamilton soundtrack and I was pleasantly surprised. They sounded very nice. Great highs and not too much or muddy bass. They are well balanced and do not distort. I really enjoy listening to music with them.
I then snapped them back into the case and decided to plug in the case to give it a full charge. I left it charging for a few hours and was ready to listen again. The left earbud was dead. I was completely dead. I tried everything I could but it did not do anything. I placed both buds in the case and only the right charged. When I took them out only the right turned on. I was very close to calling it. I was ready to take them back but decided to give them another shot a day later. I plugged the case back in to charge and all of the sudden the left earbud started to charge again. I fully charged the case and both earbuds stop lighting up indicating both were also charged. I popped them both out and they both turned on. Thank goodness. They have been working perfectly fine ever since.
Not sure what the original issue was but not I am skeptical every time I pop these earbuds in and out wondering if they will die on me again.
I think these earbuds work well, I just cannot trust them yet. The sound is great and they are very high quality.

Works perfect after setup issue
on October 25, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89

This camera is very simple, easy to setup (more on that), and the app works great so far. It looks and feels rock solid and performs very well.
Like most Wi-Fi enabled devices the first thing you do is download the app. Then you open the app and create a new account. This is where things came to a grinding halt. You enter your email address and they are supposed to send you a confirmation code which is required to create your account and ultimately setup the device. The code never came...never. I hit resend, hit back and tried again, uninstalled the app and tried again. Nothing, no code, couldn't continue. I even went as far as emailing the app developer via the app store, they never responded. After a few days I decided to try again but this time with a different email address. Boom, the code came instantly. Good grief. It is not ideal as I could not use the email I use for literally every one of my start device accounts. What if this happened to someone who only has one email address?
I am not sure how common this issue is or if it is some kind of one off. I'll never know as the company never responded to my issue.
Anyways, after I setup my account the camera installation was a breeze. You select "add camera", scan the QR code on the cam, enter your Wi-Fi password, and you are good to go. Very smooth, very nice. I then mounted it above my back door, adjusted it using my little helper (kid), and I was now more secure than I was a day ago.
The app is very easy to use. You can live stream the feed with very little delay, you can setup motion detection settings, and capture photos and video recordings. I really like using the app, more than my Arlo app.
The only thing I don't like is that the camera only has one way communication. It has a Mic but no Speaker. Also, the app does not work with Alexa. Hopefully it becomes a skill so I can lookup my feed on my fire tv.
Overall this camera and app is rock solid and I love having it. I would have given it 5 stars if I didn't have that major issue creating my account. I just couldn't overlook it, especially given the lack of support.

Powerful software, classic Photoshop quality
on October 24, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Northwest, IL
I used to use Adobe Photoshop when I was younger. I have since lost touch with fixing photos and have moved onto making short videos on iMovie. I now have a powerful Adobe suite for both photos and video editing.
Installation is a breeze, you are just installing software from the website then entering the product registration code.
The first page that opens up is a nice helpful screen that lets you explore walk through guides and search for help on what you want to do. Very convenient.
You then select which program you want to use and you launch it. The program launched pretty fast on my new gaming laptop and it runs very smooth.
The first thing I played around with was Photoshop. I am already pretty familiar with this program so it was pretty much pick up and play for me. I tested most of the features and it did not disappoint. I decided to remove my kid's leg from a photo of my Walter. You can see it in my photo uploads. Hey, it was my first attempt after several years!
I then launched the video editor and started to experiment with it. It is like iMovie on steroids. You actually get the feel you are professionally editing a movie. You can add special effects, create moving objects, and use many different audio samples. You can add your own audio file, which is not radically new, but still cool nonetheless. I just messed around with a quick video I took around my office and tried to use as many features as possible. I honestly don't even think I tapped the surface. I look forward to digging very deep into these features later. So far I am very impressed and think it is user friendly enough to pick up and put out quality videos. I will take some time to try and make an all out video that I will be happy to share with family and friends. I am also going to make a department video for my job that we are able to do every year.

Unique printer that I like so far
on October 24, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Northwest, IL
I was extremely tired of my old printer. It is an HP and everything everyone says is true...they ROB you on the ink. We started only buying black ink to print documents and those would not even last a few months. And that is with not many print jobs. So we opted for this Canon printer that looked promising.
The first thing you do is unpack and remove about 10 pieces of protective tape and one bracket. These all hold everything in place. No big deal. Then you insert 2 ink cartridges. I thought there was ink in them but then i kept reading the manual. The manual is very easy to follow by the way. After loading the cartridges, you find out that they are actually empty. You have to fill storage tanks in the machine with ink bottles that they give you. There are 3 big bottles of black ink and 3 smaller bottles for the color ink. It was pretty cool actually. You would think filling ink tanks would be messy but they have made it pretty "idiot proof". I was ready to go in a matter of minutes.
You then power on the machine and run a quick calibration. It then prompts you to setup the network. This is where disaster usually strikes. But this was not the case.
You visit a website and select the setup option. You then select your product's model # which I was listed right on the box right next to where I was sitting. It then downloads and installs the software for your maching, searches for your network, and you log on. That's it. You are ready to print.
I then decided to print out a quick picture of my little Walter. I was not immediately impressed. The photo was very light and unimpressive. I decided to check those settings again. I changed the quality in the printing properties and then bingo! The photo came out perfect. That was all I needed to claim this printer a winner! It sent both docs to the printer very fast and they both printed very quick. I have absolutely no complaints. The regular black and white document it prints out after you setup was also rock solid, which should have.
I have been having the family print out anything they need now for the past few weeks and so far the ink is holding up and there have no issues with connectivity or with print quality. Love it!

I really had no idea what I was getting myself into with a 10qt Crock Pot. But I did it anyways. It does not even fit into my cabinet where is store my air fryer and existing Crock Pot. So far that has been my biggest issue.
After reading the instructions I was impressed how easy to use it is. You can both pressure cook and slow cook in it. I made two big beef roasts at the same time. Now I have a ton of leftovers.
You can set a timer to start it later, which is convenient. There are also pre-set buttons for different common dishes. You lock the lid on, choose what type of venting to use and turn it on. It just cooks and you don't have to worry about it.
I highly recommend this Crock Pot, I just now need a small army to fully utilize the capacity!

Convenient Kettlebell that's super cool
on October 4, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89

I have been using the Kettlebell for over a week now and really enjoy using it. It has actually made me work out even more. Let me explain how:
So right out of the box you can plug in the dock, place all of the weights on the dock, then dock the Kettlebell. It only takes a few hours to fully charge, but while it's charging you can go ahead and turn on to setup. You download the app and find the unit. It will connect and then you are ready to go. As far as app setup goes this unit connected better/easier than almost all other smart devices I currently own. It found the bell with no issues and synced with no issues.
The app is very user friendly and it even lets you sync your Fitbit device for a full fitness integration. You can sync your Fitbit wearable and smart scale to monitor pretty much everything. It takes a little while to sync when you open the app but it does work well.
The bell itself is sturdy and feels very nice and high quality. You dock the bell and hit an up or down button to raise and lower the weight amount. Then it automatically adjusts the weight and beeps when done. It is very easy and I love using different weight settings, I start off low and finish heavy. It is very easy to use and very convenient.
Overall I enjoy using this and I actually grab it now more than any other weight or workout hand tool. I highly recommend if you want to add some tech and fun to your workout.

Very cool idea, changes you.

One day I happened to be browsing some of my Arlo camera clips that were captured via motion detection. One of the clips was of me replacing the inner tube of my kid's bicycle. I was horrified at my posture. This was a real eye opener for me. I have since been trying to make a conscious effort to straighten my posture but I need help.
When I read what the Go 2 Posture Trainer did I was very curious. So when I got it I could not wait to try it. And to my surprise it works (so far).
The concept of this is very simple, surprised nobody thought of it before. It literally vibrates when you are slouching. Yes, that simple.
The device is small, like a small car key remote fob. It comes with several sticky pads which are reusable. It should be plenty to last you a very long time depending on use. You charge the device with a USB type C which is included. Then you push it's only button to turn on. You download the app and set it up. Super easy to do so. You create a free account, then it asks you a few questions about your age/height/weight and you are ready to go.
You then use the software in 2 different ways, tracking and training. The training feature is the most useful as it asks you if you are stationary, moderate activity, or active. Then it monitors you, setting off a vibration if you are slouching for more than the designated seconds in which you set. The tracking feature just "monitors" you as long as you are wearing it and you can see how your posture looks throughout the day. It does not vibrate when you slouch, just documents it for awareness.
I have been using this for several days and I can honestly say that I am more aware of my posture now. I am very busy at work and home right now so I am not using it as much as I would like, or simply forget. But I cannot wait to keep using this to see how much my posture will improve over time. I can then watch myself on my Arlo camera without cringing.

Without you knowing it, cybercriminals can infiltrate your Wi-Fi network and steal your identity or invade your privacy by accessing your connected devices. Password protection isn't enough anymore.Engineered with multi-layered security, Norton Core™ intelligently protects your Wi-Fi network and an unlimited number of connected IoT devices such as smart TVs, baby monitors, Wi-Fi thermostats as well as your personal devices like laptops, desktops, smartphones and tablets against malware, spyware, ransomware, viruses and more.

Was just advised by Norton rep (have Nighthawk 1900/r7000 + Ubee Spectrum modem & current Norton Internet Security Premium) that I should "ADD the Core to my Nighthawk for enhanced security". Is this correct? So I'd connect Core to modem AND Nighthawk??

You could run the Core from an open Ethernet port from your Nighthawk, but may want to consider eliminating the Nighthawk and only run the Core since it protects all of your connected devices at the source (router).

Why is the Blue and Orange speaker more expensive (15 dollars!?) than the black one. I just received the orange one and now see the black is 14 dollars less. Why?

The blue and orange dyes are roughly 15 dollars more than the black dye.
