Big machine suction power* but with cord-free versatility. The Cyclone V10 Animal Pro bagless cordless pet stick vacuum has a 40% bigger bin than the previous V8 Absolute model and up to 40 minutes of fade-free power with the soft roller cleaner head (in Suction mode 1). The new torque drive cleaner head removes more dust from carpets. The soft roller cleaner head removes fine dust and large debris from hard floors. The Cyclone V10 Animal Pro cord-free vacuum quickly transforms to a handheld vacuum for quick cleanups, spot cleaning, and cleaning difficult places.* Suction tested to ASTM F558 at the flexible inlet.

Love my new Dyson!
on September 10, 2019

from Northwest, IL
When I first decided to get this new cordless Dyson my wife and daughters were skeptical. They have been using our corded Shark stick vac and assumed 2 things: The Dyson cordless battery would not last long enough to vacuum the entire house and that it would be heavier due to the on board battery. They were wrong on both counts.
First off, the Dyson comes with several attachments. There is an attachment for almost every scenario you could think of. We are set!
The second thing is how easy everything snaps together. This is typical Dyson fashion as the plastics feel nice and sturdy and everything has a nice quality snap to it when you connect it. I just really like the feel of quality.
Now on to the first test, the weight. I had my daughter close her eyes and i handed her the sticks to both the Dyson and the Shark vacs. She immediately dubbed the Shark to be heavier. When she opened her eyes she could not believe it.The Dyson is hands down lighter than the corded Shark stick vac and will be easier to navigate around the house.
I then took to cleaning. One of the few times I was actually happy to clean up. I used the medium power setting as my hardwood floors cannot justify the max power setting. I got my entire first floor, including all of the bedrooms. I then got the stairs. I finally took it to the basement and actually ran out of floor to vacuum. I did not time myself but the manual claims it has an hour battery life. I have a 4 bedroom raised ranch with all laminate flooring throughout.
I considered this an easy victory, but wanted to do more to really rub it in to the family. I went out and started to vacuum our 7 seat SUV. I was able to almost finish the entire truck before the battery finally died. Man this thing is awesome!
Overall I have nothing to complain about regarding this vacuum. It is high quality, high performing, and will exceed your expectations.

Works great, setup a hassle
on August 26, 2019

My first impression of this alarm is how big it is. I have attached a photo for reference. It is larger than any smoke detector/fire alarm I have ever had. The good thing is that it completely covered up the mismatched paint of where my previous alarm was mounted.
Now the setup. It seems very easy via the app, but it is not. For some reason it kept timing me out and not establishing a connection. I had to retry a few times. Nothing so frustrating where I was pulling my hair out, but just enough to leave an unsavory taste in my mouth afterwards.
Once connected it runs on the app pretty well. I then integrated it to my Alexa via the skills. It is not a welcome addition to my "smart home". It lets me monitor the status of my alarm, which is nothing too exciting. You don't actually want to see this thing work (on account of you having a fire or leak). It will send me an alert (hopefully) if it goes off while I am not home.
Overall, I think this is a nice alarm, just not quite worthy of 5 stars. I wish manufacturers put forth extensive effort on install as it is the critical task of owning a product.

Once painfully connected, work great
on July 16, 2019

My first impressions of these lights is that they are kind of heavy and have a high quality feel to them. They are packed in a nice neat package and don't have a lot of parts and wasteful packaging. It only has the 9 tiles stacked, the power cable, double sided tape, the connecting tabs, and a simple guidebook.
I wanted to just try it out of the box so i grabbed the first 4 tiles and connected them together and plugged them in. They all lit up white and I got to work trying to connect. The instructions don't have anything other than how to mount on the wall and to download the app. The app was pretty straight forward but did not offer any specific details. It needs more polish as it is not very helpful. I had many error messages when trying to simply create an account. Then I tried to pair and it never found the device. It searched for several minutes without ever finding the lights. I powered off, back on, reset the app, nothing worked. Out of sheer frustration i dug through the box to see if there were better instructions on the bottom only to find out the "master" square was the 5th square in the box. The 5th, not the 1st. So I never knew to plug in the controller square as there are no instructions and the app doesn't tell you. You have to remove all squares to find the controller square. I guess if you are hooking up all 9 at first then you would find it and use it right away.
But the frustration did not stop there. Then is asks to place the phone on the control tile and enter a code...what code? It does not mention it anywhere. The code is 8 digits and I found an 8 digit code randomly on the booklet cover, is this it? I on a whim I entered it and it gave me an error. I tried and tried again with no luck. I then took a step back, took a deep breath and tried again. It synced. Wow. It took me about a half hour to get it fully up and running. I actually almost gave up at some point.
Now that it is running I really enjoy it actually. The app works the lights surprisingly smooth. Controlling the lights with the app is very fast and the lights respond well with almost lag. I was surprised how well it worked after all of the issues I had setting up. At least they got that right. It works very well and they light up with almost every color in the spectrum. They color shift, they dim, they bounce colors around, they are very very cool. They have a daylight mode, a reading light mode, and a standard mode. Then there are color modes and different color shift modes. I really enjoyed playing around with all of the settings.
Overall these lights work fantastic, if setup was easier I would have given it 5 stars.

Works exactly as advertised, poor battery life

Right out of the box I must say that this is a very nice cordless vac/mop. It has a very high quality feel and the parts feel nice and solid. You will not be disappointed in the quality of this unit.
After charging the battery and putting it all together I decided I wanted to give it a test run with a quick vacuuming. It has great suction and ran very smooth. I then decided it was time to clean my area rug. I filled the unit with some warm water and solution and was ready to go. I cleaned both area rugs I own and it worked really well. I was very surprised how clean they came out.
I then wanted to vacuum all of my hardwood floors, which is almost my entire house, but the battery would not allow. It claims 18 minutes but that may be with eco mode. I think I only managed about 15 minutes on max power.
I like that you can dock the vacuum in the holder and place water in it to clean the roller.
I also like that the battery can be used with a variety of other "tools". I am not sure if I am willing to try any of these other devices as the battery life leaves a lot to be desired.
Overall this is a very good unit if you have a small apartment or smaller house.

Fast and Powerful

This is my first gaming laptop so I did not know what to expect. Right out of the box I was surprised how big it was. I guess I am not used to a 17" laptop. After I picked it up I was also surprised how light it is. I have a 15" HP that is easily 25 percent heavier.
After powering it up I went through the normal Windows setup process. It seems to take longer than ever now. Anyways, about 30 minutes later I was up and running.
When I started to browse the web to lookup some base apps like Chrome and STEAM I noticed how fast the laptop was. Just for normal tasks it was flying. The solid state drove and 9th gen i5 processor make this machine buttery smooth and fast.
After installing STEAM and buying a few games I could not wait to play. I was blown away. I was having so much fun while admiring the smooth graphics and bright 1080p display. I did not even have to hook it up to a TV because the 17" display is plenty big.
I then hooked it up to my 65" TV and felt right at home like I was on a current gen gaming system. I was very pleased.
I then loaded some emulators and some backups of my old game system games and I was now in heaven. Everything just runs so effortless and smooth.
I can honestly say that I am loving every minute playing on the Nitro 5, and yes I am typing this review on it!

Works Exactly as Described

This Bluetooth transmitter/receiver works exactly as described. Right out of the box it includes the transmitter, the power cable (micro USB), RCA cable, Aux cable, and even an optical cable. This has literally anything you need to begin using.
The first thing I did was take my old school iPod and connect it via Aux. Unlike most Bluetooth items I had to read the instructions as it is not obvious to use right away. You have to hit the pair button twice to get it into pairing mode. It then connected to my wireless headphones and just like that I was listening to my iPod with Bluetooth headphones. That worked very well. I then went for a walk around my office. I went to the printer and then to a coworkers office. It did not lose connection once. My headphones connected to my phone would always lose connection in those 2 places. The range is very good.
I then hooked it up to my stereo receiver and put it in receiver mode. I sent a signal from my phone to it and cranked out music to my basement surround system via the receiver. I then took a walk with my phone around the different rooms in my basement and it also did not lose reception.
I cannot wait to use this in the summer as I plan to connect 2 wireless speakers to it and feed them off an Echo Dot for some outdoor tunes. I feel the range should have no issues as there are no obstructions.
I highly recommend this Bluetooth transmitter/receiver as it works exactly as described and will likely give you no issues as I have had none.

After setting up right, best lock you'll ever own
on June 12, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Chicago/NW Suburbs, IL
Right out of the box I knew this would be a difficult setup. Every time I have replaced my front door lock since I have owned my house has been a daunting task and this was no different. I am not sure what it is, but my small home projects always seem to hit speed bumps. In this case the hole was slightly off and I could not align all 3 pieces needed to properly install the lock. After running to the hardware store and buying a rounded file, I was able to get everything to match up.
I then booted up the unit with the batteries and there was a dead front display. After a few minutes of re-reading instructions and reinstalling the batteries, I decided to take the unit apart. The main wiring harness was not completely connected. My fault. After that it lit up like a Christmas tree. I set up a master code, which was very easy and my lock was fully functional from a "dumb" standpoint. I could use my code to unlock the lock and it was operating very smooth.
Now the "smart" part. I setup the lock via the August app and it was surprisingly smooth. It found the lock, let me calibrate it and setup the door sensor. I was surprised, I thought it would have a few hiccups at least but no, perfect. I was then able to use the app to lock/unlock and setup functions like auto lock and things like that. You can also see the history of who has unlocked the door with your defined codes. I really think it is simple and efficient to use. The smart features seemed to be working perfect, but I was not sure what to do with the plug in brick. After trying to enable it with Alexa my questions was answered. It is required to be plugged in so you can use with Alexa. Let me explain...
The small AC brick is called the August Connect. You simply plug it in, and select "add device" in the app. Once connected you can open the Alexa app and discover the lock. You can then lock and unlock your door via voice command. If you choose to unlock with voice command you will have to setup a 4 digit voice confirmation code. This is a bit risky so use at your own caution.
Overall this lock has been running very smooth with almost no issues. Once in a while the lock will show "not connected" in the app, but will then connect after a few seconds. It has not caused me any issues. The locking mechanics are very smooth and the app and Alexa functions are working excellent. I will highly recommend this lock to anyone looking to make their life easier.

Easily the best Logitech case I've owned
on June 11, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Chicago/NW Suburbs, IL
I love almost every Logitech product I have ever owned. Something about their attention to detail and quality has been hard to beat.
I own a lot of cases for a lot of my portable devices and this seemed to be prefect for my iPad pro. It not only performed as expected, but actually better than expected.
The case feels great right out of the box as is most Logitech products I have ever owned. It has a nice feel and weight to it and just feels good in the hand. The iPad snaps right into it and feels like a perfect and precise fit. I then attached the pen to the case's holder and it was the icing on the cake. Everything fits perfect and it it just feels like the iPad is in a complete package.
The case then syncs to the iPad with no issues and you are able to immediately start using the keyboard. I loved typing on it and it feels organic even though it is compact. It even has quick launch iOS buttons that all worked. This is made for iPad and it shows.
The keyboard itself has back lights and that makes a huge difference from all other keyboards I have used for my iPads. This is a very nice useful feature. Oh, and did I forget to mention that the pencil charges from the case as well? It does.
I have been using it for over a week now and have not needed to charge it yet. I expect the battery life to be excellent.
Overall, I really love this case and it has made a huge difference in the portability of my iPad, I love taking it with me everywhere now.

Sounds better than the original
on June 11, 2019

I already have the Wonderboom and could not wait to try the new Wonderboom 2. I really love the first one and wanted another one to pair or "party up".
Right out of the box everything about this speaker is quality. From the packing materials, to the charging cables, and especially the speaker itself. It is heavy, rugged and just feels good in the hand. You can tell that this is a very high quality Bluetooth speaker. There are thousands of cheap Bluetooth speakers out there and it is nice to see a very high quality one.
Once you turn it on for the first time it automatically goes into pairing mode. I simply found it on my phone and selected it and it was paired. I then turned on Pandora and tried to sample the sound. Wow! It sounds awesome!! I wondered if it sounded better than my original Wonderboom so I had to connect them.
All you have to do is connect both Wonderboom speakers then press the UE button on each for 3 seconds to "party up" and output sound to both speakers. I loved it! I had stereo sound coming from my original Wonderboom and new Wonderboom 2. The sound on the Wonderboom 2 is actually better. The sound was improved from the original. I then walked it around my house for a blind test and every one in the house agreed that the new one sounds better than the original.
I am very impressed and recommend the Wonderboom 2 to anyone who likes to have the best quality of every day use items such as a Bluetooth speaker. It also withstands anything you can throw at it like all of the elements and even simply leave it in the shower. This is my all time favorite speaker.

My first Logitech dissapointment
on May 20, 2019
Posted by: Bootleg89
from Chicago/NW Suburbs, IL
I was very excited to receive this product. I always love Logitech remotes and have been using them for years. So when I found out there was a new one that was simple and uses Alexa I was super stoked. I was quickly disappointed.
The first thing you do when you get the remote is setup via the app. It is actually very user friendly. It is like setting up a regular Logitech Harmony using your component model numbers. The app walks you through it and I did not have any difficulty.
Then once setup you can hold the button and tell it to turn on your devices and can customize it to do different functions. This is where the problems start.
Once I opened up my "watch TV" function I was enjoying TV. Then i wanted to turn on my receiver to switch the audio over to my Pioneer amp. Nope. No matter what I said it would not turn it on via the Alexa function. You have to manually go into the app to turn on individual devices. The I programmed it to turn on the receiver by saying "turn on Pioneer" and it shut off the TV and turned on the amp. I am sure there is something I could have changed in the settings to prevent this but it is seriously a lot of work.
To make matters worse, my AV equipment is located in my living room. The app asks you where your stuff is located and one of the options is living room. No big deal right? Wrong. I also have 2 lamps operated by TP Link that are Alexa enabled and they are called "living room lamps". So when I tell Alexa to turn on my lamps, she asks "which lamps?" Then I say living room and she says "OK". She then turns on my lamps and turns off all of my AV devices. What?? I don't even know why they both can't be on but for some reason it turns on my lamps and shuts off my TV and AV devices.
To make matters worse, there is no power button on the remote. So the only way to turn devices on or off is my talking to the remote. I wish it had a power button remote that you could use to turn on devices you choose. It also does not turn off the PS3. I think you may be able to do it via the app, but I am not crazy about doing everything in the app as it defeats the purpose of having a physical remote.
The one positive thing I can say it does is locate the remote if you lost it. It has a built in speaker and plays a sound so you can find it. Very cool. It is also easy to setup and does communicate with the devices well. This is why I gave it 3 stars.
Overall I just do not like the remote and think it is far from a finished product when integrating with a smart home.

Can you use Harmony Elite AND Harmony Express in same room if you tweak Alexa App so that nothing overlaps ie commands,?

Was just advised by Norton rep (have Nighthawk 1900/r7000 + Ubee Spectrum modem & current Norton Internet Security Premium) that I should "ADD the Core to my Nighthawk for enhanced security". Is this correct? So I'd connect Core to modem AND Nighthawk??

You could run the Core from an open Ethernet port from your Nighthawk, but may want to consider eliminating the Nighthawk and only run the Core since it protects all of your connected devices at the source (router).
