Works great for Comcast. However, I soon discovered two major problems (at least for me). The year is now 2015 and the first problem for me with this router is that it does not support VPN pass through (out of the box). I was shocked and didn't believe it at all but here's their own FAQ on this topic (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24580). My second problem has to do with their locked Guest Network. For whatever reasons, they reserved several blocks of internal IPs for the exclusive use for the Guest Network and there's no way to change it (at least with the build in GUI adminstration tool). So, for me, it was painful to have to re-IP many of equipments that I had setup static IP for use (i.e. Wired Laser Printers, Media Streaming boxes, etc).
So, for these 2, I have to give it a 2 stars. If neither of these are important for you, it's a decent product. With Comcast's self installation, you don't even have to call Comcast to get this device setup. The self installation process takes only about 10-15min to complete (mostly waiting for Comcast to program the device remotely).
