Too bad that I can't give this thing and this company 0 stars.
I have previously purchased Netgear routers and other items and not had an issue. Apparently, this company has changed.
I purchased this item in March to replace a USB adapter that became outdated due to my move to AT&T UVerse internet. I use this item on a desktop that is on a different floor than my router.
When I purchased it, setup was simple and it worked fine, until a few days ago when my signal was terminating on it's own. Since I have only owned it for a few months, I called Netgear to see if they could help me. I spoke to a rep who was more than helpful but did point out that you only get 90 days of support for free from Netgear with a purchase. She granted me a "one time exception" for free support to help me with my issue. After being on the phone with her for almost 2 hours, it seemed that the issue had been resolved until today when the same problem returned. Since I had a case number, I called Netgear back to have them help me because the problem was not resolved. The support person I spoke to today, two days later told me that they could not help me without a payment to them for technical support. I asked for a supervisor who informed me of the same thing. Obviously this company does not stand behind their product and the items they are selling now are nothing short of complete garbage. If you know what is good for you, you will not buy any Netgear items. This company clearly does not care a lick about the consumer and is only out there to suck as much money as they can out of your pocket. I would have expected at least a year of support for their product but apparently I am living in a dream world.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
